Thank Goodness it's Saturday!
Morning, chaps! It's been a long first week back, so I'm looking forward to some good stuff this weekend. First up is Liverpool at Spurs with Daniel Sturridge on the bench again. Then it's the 10am matches with Chelsea v. Burnley, Arsenal at Watford and Leicester v. Swansea. Then at the end of the day we've got the title decider between Hull and United. Join me this morning, won't you?

Unfortunately, I won't be around for most of the first game, lads. But I should be back for the 10am matches and I'm really looking forward to the table-topping encounter at 12:30pm.
The teams now gathering in the tunnel at Shite Fart Lane:
Tottenham Hotspur (4-2-3-1) Vorm; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Wanyama; Lamela, Alli, Eriksen; Kane.
Substitutes: McGee, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Onomah, Winks, Janssen, Son.
Liverpool (4-3-3) Mignolet; Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner; Lallana, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Mane, Firmino, Coutinho.
Substitutes: Manninger, Grujic, Moreno, Lucas, Sturridge, Origi, Stewart.
Daniel Sturridge doesn’t want to play on the wing, and he gets his wish: he’s been dropped.
They're off from SFL . Good morning, mate
Peep peep! Spurs, in white, kick off from right to left. Liverpool are in red.
I agree with your heading. I had the same type of week.
Morning, MUR - how are you, mate?
Was it prep week for you?
Dele Alli with a chance there but his lobbed effort was mighty ambitious.
Oh - Liverpool should have scored there. A soft effort at the end of a great move by Coutinho. Worm saved well with his feet.
OH!!!! Pool win the ball on the high press. Then Firmino sets up Coutinho , who should have scored , but had it saved by Ll oris from about two yards out
Free kick Spurs now....
Great effort from Ericksen but Minny punched away effectively.
Mane fouls Rose just outside the box then Minnie makes a decent save from the free kick from Eriksen
Corner to the Spuds. The corner from eriksen is cleared
I'm doing great. How are you? It was the first week back, but very hectic. We're dealing with the new textbooks, but the e books are not user friendly. Also, the principal replaced my Smart Board with a TV, but it's not touch screen, so it's been quite a transition.
That sounds terrible - how are you going to replace the interactive white board?
I'm supposed to get an ipad that interacts with the TV so it projects on to the TV, but you are correct that it's not the same. And people wonder why I'm retiring in three years.
Llloris punches away a deflected effort from Mane on the break, but Coutinho is flagged offside.
This is a match between the teams I'm predicting to be the top two teams. Pool have yet to play at Anfield because their stand is still being developed.
Good Morning (afternoon here) from England . Will join in on and off when I can . Watching on the telly at the Worly Hotel .
We're getting ready to leave, mate. Back for the 10am kickoffs. Enjoy the match!
Good morning , Chelskilad. Great to hear from you. How is everything in Worly?
Cheers Bob. Enjoy.
Lloris is not in goal. He's out injured with the early bird gets the Worm deputizing in goal.
Loveren fouls Della Alli near the touchline.
The free kick from Eriksen is cleared then Pool break and Worm rushes out of his area to tackle Mane to clear. Great sweeping or else Pool probably would have taken the lead
Worm does well to tip over a long range effort from Coutinho that deflected off of Toby
The corner from Henderson is headed away by Toby. Milner has a shot blocked then Mane is flagged offside.
Danny Murphy and Klopp wanted a Pool penalty for pushing off the corner. I guess they have a point as it's part of the new directive
Coutinho shoots straight at Worm off a run and pass from Mane, who has been a pest to the Spuds. Walker was out of position and probably because he's down injured
That's it for Kyle Walker and he's going to be replaced by Vincent Jansen ,a striker. Sounds like a complete reshuffle for the Spuds. Eric Dier will move in at right back and Della Alli back to his midfield position.
Loveren introduces himself to Jansen by conceding a free kick then off the free kick Danny Rose fouls Mane.
Another foul by Danny Rose and he's booked after Klopp shouted for a booking.
The SPuds counter after Wanyama cut out a poor pass from Mane and Della Alli had a shot blocked.
Della Alli wins a tackle on the high press and Matip appeared to obstruct Jansen in the box. He looks to have got away with one.
Mane is booked for a foul on Della Alli. That seemed harsh
According to the Spuds medical staff,Kyle Walker went off because he's feeling ill, not injured. Why was he in the lineup then?
Mane called for a foul on Danny Rose. That's his last warning or else it's a second yellow and an early bath,.
Mane is offside off a long slide rule pass from Coutinho.
PENALTY !!!! FIRMINO IS TRIPPED IN THE BOX BY LAMELA.
KLOPP CAN'T WATCH, but
GOAL !!!! MILNER SCORES FROM THE SPOT, TUCKING IT IN THE CORNER AND SENDING WORM THE WRONG WAY. POOL TAKE THE LEAD AT SFL.
Three minutes of stoppage time
Coutinho picks up a booking for failing to retreat from a free kick. Really stupid.
Milner heads out for a Spuds corner
The corner from Lamela is headed out by Lallana , the first man and Pool is one up at the half thanks to that late penalty. Pool finished the stronger team as the half progressed.
The second half is underway from SFL
Wijnaldum is not too far off with a long range effort off a run and pass from Firmino
Mane gets away with what appeared to be a foul on Danny Rose. He's practically begging for a second yellow and early bath
Vertonghen is called for a foul on Mane off a goal kick from Minnie and talks himself into a booking
Eric Dier heads out the free kick from Henderson for a Pool corner
Nearly a two goal lead as Milner whipped in the corner and the header from Matip clipped the top of the bar and went out for a goal kick
Worm turns around a deflected near post effort from Clyne
Harry Kane clears away a really poor corner.
Hey boys,
Sorry I have been a miss early but I have been running around a bit so far this morning
Spurs have bee very disappointing
Especially Kane and Dele Alli
Naughty by Henderson on Della Alli and sarcastic cheers from the home fans, who feel the decisions have not gone their way
Mane appeared to have put Pool two up on a break off the Spuds free kick , but was flagged offside.
Two nil...no offside
Surel Mane was behind the ball
All came from an awful pass by an England international
Good morning, UWS. I agree. It's been a really poor performance by the home team.
I agree. I didn't see anything wrong. Pool should be two up.
It must have been Lallana...just
Bobby Madeley has a had a really poor game officiating.
The benefit should go to the attacker. As a member of the strikers union, I'm sure you would agree.
Agreed
Spurs should have scored there
Better from the Spuds as Eriksen shoots wide off a pass from Dier.
Loveren is called for a foul and stupidly picks up a booking for kicking the ball away
Minnie does well to tip over the swerving free kick from Lamerla
Minnie superbly saves a header from Toby, his international teammate. Matip heads away the next corner
Lovren in the book for a foul and booting the ball away
Free kick saved
Lovren should have been in the book before this. He's been clattering into the back of the strikers every time
Kane blew the ball there
He's been hopeless since the end of last season
During the halftime show they said that Harry Kane has never scored a Prem goal in August. That's a surprise.
Mane is lucky not to have been sent off. He's committed a number of really stupid fouls.
An attacking switch for Pool as Origi is on for Coutinho.
I know you do , because you're a closet Reds fan, but I really don't want Pool to win today. Two away wins...both in North London!!
Goal... Rose
GOAL !!!DANNY ROSE TIES IT UP FOR THE SPUDS.
Bob will be pleased that both goals have come from former LUFC academy players
Liverpool won't have played one match at Anfield until September. Probably because of the construction. I bet they reversed the Burnley fixture
Toby played Dier down the right. He got past Milner and put in a cross that was headed on by Lamela to Danny Rose ,who beat the on rushing Minnie at the near post with a powerful effort.
If Spurs win, they'll be on top
Yes. They did reverse the Burnley fixture. Construction should be completed during the international break. I think they play their first match at home once the break ends.
These are the two teams I picked to finish first and second,.
LOL! I still hate the Reds, but think they can win the league because they don't have to play in Europe , so they should be well rested and don't think other teams have necessarily done enough to win the league
Della Alli with another stupid booking as he kicks the ball away. It's not the first time and probably not the last time it will happen
Great block by Dier from Firmino.
Well wide by Clyne on his weaker left foot.
Kane is coming off for some youngster with a Jaffa Cake haircut
UWS'S favorite player, Harry Kane, is replaced by Josh ONuma form the academy. he surprisingly has not scored in the month of August. A bizarre streak
Onuma, thew haircut boy, wins a corner.
Toby heads over the corner from Eriksen
Jaffa cake Hair can't get the cross over but wins a corner
Headed over
Are you happy with United's group in the EL? If they can't advance then something is wrong.
Henderson is booked , but not sure why
He talked himself into the book. Lots of needless bookings this match
Modern players seem to think that the ball can go thru solid objects !!
A late cameo for Sturridge as he's on for Mane, who was lucky not to be sent off.
LOL!!! They're a bunch of thickos for sure.
Vorm with the save off of a deflection
Worm does well to save a deflected effort from Wijnaldum, his fellow Dutchman. Three minutes of stoppage time.
3 added minutes
Jaffa Cakes looks hopeless
Pool blew that break chance!!!
Toby with a last ditch tackle on the break that probably prevented a late winner from Pool. Rose heads away the corner
Jaffa Cake is offside on the break
Front post corners work 3% of the time
Why is it tried 97% of the time
10 secs to go and both teams make a sub
Why is there a substitution with fifteen seconds remaining,. Harry Winks on for Eriksen and Kevin Styewart on for Lallana .Stewart, a former Spuds trainee
It finishes 1-1 between two possible title contenders
That's it
Ends 1-1
I'll be back for the 10 oclockers
I'm back showered and shaved
Not sure which match I'm going to watch
I guess USA aren't showing a tenner
Possibly I will watch the champs
Top three battle is on NBC proper
I'm on the kids' old iPad for LOB
I have SS on my phone and watching the tv
Shad may need a walk soon...bugger
I'm back from walkies with Sparky on a very hot, sticky morning
It's Chelsea vs Burnley on NBCSN . The other 10 AMers are on PLET
They're off from SB
Off at the Champs place
A shock yesterday as Burton defeated promotion favorites, Derby County ,1-0 in a local derby.
You must be watching the Foxes vs the Swans.
Leeds visit Forest
Hope they can keep their run going
Mersey says Chelsea are just passing the ball around but not doing much
Jeff is happy
Hartlepool take the lead
Yes. That's correct. I haven't been impressed by Chelsea in their first two Prem matches. They don't look like title contenders
Merson said it
I want Leicester to do well this season
They did vs Newport and Donny took the lead vs Yeovil.
Me too, but it will be tough to emulate last season and with CL matches on top of that
Now Hartlepool get a red car and Newport tie it up from free kick
Jeff is gobsmacked
Jeff will not be pleased that Newport County have tied it up at Hartlepool.
I just want them to be top 8
Posh take the lead at the Fake Dons.
Top of table clash
Top Huddersfield take lead v Brighton
I think they should be able to do that. I expect them to finish around 8th.
Not v Brighton but against 3rd place Wolves
Villa take the lead at Ashton Gate
Hazard and Costa played two one twos, but the final touch from Hazard was not good and Tom Heaton easily gathered the ball.
GOAL !!!HAZARD GIVES CHELSEA THE LEAD ON THE BREAK
Mayrez still seems out of it. Can't dribble
Pen to the Arse...
Chelsea score
Santi scores for the Arse
Free kick for the Champs inches outside the box
Andre Gray , the top scorer in the Championship last season, just observed that giving the ball away in the Prem is a hazard. Matic got the ball, passed to Hazard, who went on a thirty yard run then shot in the corner from 25 yards out/.
Mayrez well over
Again Mahrez has been pants
One nil Cherries at Selhurst
Villa take the lead at Bristol City while table topping Terriers take the lead vs Wolves.
I should have picked Palace to go down
They were awful after the new year
Josh King with the goal in what could be an early relegation six pointer.
Too slow for Nocito Sports Center!!
OH!!!Ben Mee clears off the line from Hazard as Burnley were caught ball watching off a dozen pass move by Chelsea.
Cahill has a volley deflected for a corner.
Pen for Palace
Saved!!!!!
I think I picked Alan Pardew to be the first manager sacked and the first to get a vote of confidence. Were those wise picks?
WOW!!! Sounds like quite a match at Selhurst Park?
Ipswich take lead at PR vs PNE
You picked Pool to win!!
Chelsea are running all over Burnley , who seem overwhelmed by the occasion.
Oh dear
1-0 Forest
I did. I think I may be getting a shield in about nine months.,
BUGGER!
Bottom of table Blades behind at home vs Oxford
Bob will be pleased that the Oxford shoes have worn the shoes that have given them the lead at the Evil Blades.
Both Kane and Vardy have been useless so far
Celtic take the lead vs Aberdeen.
So far they have, but Kane never scores in August.
Champs aren't as attacking as last season
Vardy can't control the ball
Burnley had 19% Possession vs Liverpool. I bet it's even less today.
They are starting to turn the screw
Hazard wins a corner off a long diagonal pass from Oscar.
Cambridge really need some points
They are bottom
Keane heads away the corner from Willian
Yikes! They sure do.
They have a derby match vs Luton, who are off to a good start and gave Leeds a tough match in mid week.
Brum one up v Norwich
It looks like a training match at SB with offense vs defense.
Steven Ward concedes yet another Chelsea corner.
JT heads straight to Heaton off the corner from Willian
A high scoring match in the Conference as relegated York have come from behind to lead Woking 4-1.
The Evil Lions smoke their way to a lead at Chesterfield.
Now Hpool a man down and a goal down
Oscar is booked for a foul on former Leeds player, Sam Vokes.
The real Dons take the lead at Rochdale.
Goal
Vardy!!!!
Jeff will not be pleased.
About bloody time.
About time Jamie
Ran on to ball over the top
In off post
I just read that Swindon vs Bristol Rovers has been postponed due to the weather. I haven't seen anything based on the first two matches as a reason to postpone a match today
Mahrez still looks lost
I think the Foxes won this fixture 4-0 at the tail end of last season
SS said rain and lightning
Does he need Google Maps or just to have a bloody clue?
Coventry behind at home
Awful start of the season for them
That makes sense. it seems a pleasant day in the matches we have watched , but that may not be the case elsewhere. Thanks for the update.,
United's opponents in Leauge Cup score at Ricoh
Aberdeen tie it up at Celtic
Top of table Morcombe and Wise two down at A Stanley
Behind to Northants , their landlords a few seasons back and our EFL opponents in the next round. Northants seem a team on the rise while the sky blues are headed the opposite direction
Stanley are two up but down to 10
Oscar lays it on a plate for Costa , but his tame effort from yards out is easily saved.
They are two up, but one down. Sounds like a name for a mixed drink.
Walsall is three up vs Bury as they bury the visitors.
Pouring at the King Power
