Welcome, boys - I'm here to follow the England match this afternoon on ESPN3. It’s the dawn of the Sam Allardyce era, but is there much else different when it comes to the England football team apart from the man who will inevitably face the intense criticism when it all falls apart in the quarter final defeat in Russia a little under two years from now?
I am watching the cricket right now before the match. Is there a pre game ?

Good morning UWS. A quarterfinal appearance would be an improvement over the previous two tournaments. Do you know when England last won a knockout match? I do and it's been a while, so expectations may be low for Fat Sam.

Me too. Only the Spanish version is being televised, which is an odd one because I don't think the Latin American viewers will be interested in this match

Agreed. It looks like a perfect evening for a Football match at 7 PM local time.I agree with the announcer that Slovakia away will be England's toughest qualifying match even though the Jocks will make it tough due to the rivalry

Not happy with the line-up at all, Gooner. Rooney captaining the side, Hart in goal due to Forster's injury, Henderson in holding role alongside Dier, Lallana. Kane starting up front despite not having scored any goals yet for Spurs.

Joe Hart will face Hamsek in Serie A due to his loan to Torino. He will be the first ever English keeper to play in Serie A.

England are playing very much as they did in France this summer, with some interesting, exciting moments, mostly down the flank without a lot of final product.
