A Busy Late Season Top Seven Sunday Starts Bright and Early
It's a busy late season run in starting with Manchester United vs Swansea bright and early and concluding with the last ever match from SFL; the North London Derby ; of all matches. Sandwiched in between is the Toffees vs Chelsea and Middlesbrough vs Citeh. It's must see footie.

The action starts at OT with United needing victory to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive while Swansea need a win to keep their hopes Prem survival alive.
The action starts on CNBC.
Morning, MUR - thanks for getting us started early. This looks to be the opposite of yesterday's Premiership schedule. A busy morning with the top teams on display. I can't wait for it all to get started.
I usually have something of a soft spot of the Swans, but not today. United must put them to the sword in order to put their stamp on the Champions League spots. With a big win today, they can leapfrog both Citeh and Liverpool in third!!
The L1 season concludes today with all the matches kicking off at the same time as the match from OT.
Good morning, Bob. My pleasure. I remember watching the Swans on our trip to Wales. I echo your statement. We need a win because Citeh play at the Riverside later this morning and Pool at Vicarage Road tomorrow . I don't see either team slipping up in either match
Elizabeth and I enjoyed watching our local team in action. We must have brought them good luck as they recorded their biggest win of the season, defeating Jimmy Neilsen's Oklahoma City 3-0.
The teams coming out now:
Manchester United (4-3-3): De Gea; Young, Bailly, Blind, Shaw; Carrick, Herrera, Rooney; Lingard, Rashford, Martial. Subs: Romero, Darmian, Valencia, Tuanzebe, Mata, Mkhitaryan, McTominay, Mourinho.
Swansea City (a 4-3-1-2): Fabianski; Naughton, Fernandez, Mawson, Kingsley; Ki, Britton, Carroll; Sigursdsson; Ayew, Llorente. Subs: Nordfeldt, Amat, Olsson, Cork, Fer, Montero, Borja.
Referee: Neil Swarbrick (Preston)
The teams are out on the pitch at OT with Jose and Paul Clement enjoying some pre-match chitter chatter,
Kick-off time - both sides in their traditional kits. Wahay!
The two vital matches in L1 are Fleetwood Mac vs Port Vale where Fleetwood need a win and Bolton loss to secure automatic promotion to the Championship. Vale need a win and help to avoid relegation. The other key match os Southend vs Bury where the Shrimpers need a win and Evil Lions loss in Bristol to gain the last playoff spot while Bury like Vale need a win to secure survival
They're off from OT
COME ON MAN UNITED!
Morning Boys
I am up and showered and sat down as they kicked off
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Morning, UWS - feeling good this morning?
Is CNBC doing a Fox and turning down the crowd sound?
It seems very quiet
Good morning, UWS. Great to have you on board on a busy footie morning.
I am okay. I hope United lighten my day
MUR, I thought you weren't going to be around for the start of the day because of you late night
How was the game?
I won a prize for scoring a goal against the mascot about twelve hours ago. Does anyone want to know what I won?
United second best to start here
I am still going to be Mr Positive this morning
I do
It was a great game. The RGV Toros defeated the Oklahoma Energy 3-0. It's a surprisingly modern stadium for the level of play, which seemed about lower L1 and upper L2. The pitch was in average condition.
I won a toothbrush for scoring off the mascot in old worn sandals.
There are only NINE clubs that have never been relegated
Who are they?
Great to hear that you had a good night out, mate. What's the story with the mascot?
Yikes! Luke Shaw is down , holding his hammy just a few matches after coming back from injury.
Luke Shaw looks hurt
Rooney turns away with disgust as he talks to Shaw
Looks like he is done
From the Premiership or from any league, UWS?
Struth....United players just dropping like flies
Not a good start....Luke Shaw replaced by Valencia.
He's a bull because the team is the RGV Toros. He played goalkeeper in a kid size goal. I stood in line waiting for my chance to score and did at the second attempt.
League 1 final round of matches have started
Millwall have taken an early lead at Bristol Rovers
From the Premier League
They are United , Liverpool, Arsenal, the Spuds, Chelsea, the Cherries, the Swans, the Toffees, and Stoke.
Well done, mate. You showed that bull what's what. What did you win then?
Close call for United there. That ricochet off Siggy could have gone in!
A win would clinch a playoff spot for the Evil Lions ahead of Southend on Sea.
Thanks, Bob. I won a toothbrush.
United look like Keystone Kops at the back
Commentators saying Swansea aren't coming here to win...why wouldn't they
United have been naff at home
United are sleepwalking
Oh - Swansea are in again. Off the line by Blind after a half save by Twilight!
De Gea with a great save but United still couldn't clear... atrocious!!
Just kicking the ball straight in the air
Yikes!!! United at sixes and sevens as De Gea made a reflex save from Llorente that was headed off the line by Blind the Yash cleared for a Swans corner.
The Toros are emphasizing oral hygiene, for sure.
Why don't United want play well and overtake Liverpool
Britton booked for fouling Rash from behind on a United break that followed off the corner.
Leon Britton picks up the first yellow of the afternoon. First chance for Blind at a set piece.
Either that or not using dirty language.
United have their first free kick... absolutely PATHETIC
WHAT IS GOIN ON
Why can't Jose get them playing well
Neither a shot nor a chip, really. United have had a rough start to this match. They've got to pull their fingers out.
Blind with an atrocious free kick that showed he didn't have sight of the goal or a United player for that matter.
Only one goal inside the first twenty minutes all season!!
Lingard almost in... come on!
Oh - Flappy saves from Lindy after a lovely floated ball in.
OH!!! Better from United as Lindy forced a close range save from Flappy.
Atrocious corner to follow.
Seriously, how are corners so bad... It's basic... kick the ball and beat the first man
Why is Rashford taking the corner? I do not understand the modern game. The tiny midfielder takes your corner. The tall center forward nods it in. That's the game I understand.
Away goals in L1 as Wasall take the lead at the Fake Dons and Bradford City do the same at Rochdale.
Neil Swarbrick has shown a yellow to Kung Fu Panda - not sure what that was all about.
A United booking due to an illegal karate chop/.
The first home goal in L1 as the Oxford Shoes tame the Shrews by taking the lead.
Charlton take the lead vs already relegated Swindon and Oxford are now two up,.
I cannot believe how bad this performance is
I just don't get it
I am off to take Jon to work
I'll be back in a tic
Oklahoma City manager, Jimmy Neilsen looks like he's had quite a few pies and pints since retiring from playing a few years ago.
Nope, Kath is taking him
Rooney with space but too high for him
Oh - Rooney had a free header but couldn't get over it. Old Trafford is as quiet as I've heard it. Have they turned the crowd volume down on CNBC?
Cheers, UWS. I agree with you about United. Not any better than the USL teams last night.
United still have Arsenal, Spurs and Southampton away and Palace at home
I guess it is good we are playing away from Old Trafford
Glad to read that you are staying.
The Swans have a free kick in a dangerous position.
Bolton only needing a draw to go up have taken the lead at home to Peterboro
De Gea comfortably saves the free kick from Siggy.
Siggy's free kick is easily handled by Twilight.
Even De Gea is naff today
What is going on
I don't want to hear tiredness
Top vs bottom as the Evil Blades take the lead vs Chesterfield in a local derby, albeit meaningless.
Rooney can't pass the damn ball
Listen to all those dropped points... forget Champions League Spot... they could be close to Chelsea
Subs warming up
Make a second change now!!
Southend take the lead vs Bury, but won't clinch a playoff spot if the Evil Lions win. Bury could be in trouble
Valencia...player of the year... that says it all
Oh - Kung Fu should have scored there. Tame shot.
Martial with a decent effort
About time!!
The shot should have been better
Flappy does that from a shot from a karate chop, but gathers at the second attempt.
Who would you give it to, mate?
The Evil Lions go two up at Bristol Rovers and look set to clinch the final playoff spot.
Rash or Zlat
We really have the C Team behind the mics today
De Gea with a near post save from Ayew.
De Gea saves and United survive the rebound
Blind was too busy complaining about being offside instead of defending
This guy is an international!!
If Swansea had played like this at home to Boro, they’d not be in the bottom-three.
That makes sense.
Don't United know that a win would put United THIRD... where is the desire?
Agreed. The Swans would be out of the bottom three if Bob Bradley had never been named manager.
Alfie clears for a United corner.
Bit unfair on Bob, no?
Another atrocious corner
Carrick volleys over from an impossible angle from a Rash corner driven in at the speed of light
Not really. He left them as ugly ducklings instead of Swans.
Twilight is having a busier Sunday afternoon than he might have expected.
Sheffield United's goal has given the Blades the Ton of points
The Fake Dons go two up at Wasall while Bristol Rovers pulls one back vs the Evil Lions, now trailing 1-2.
Hopefully, they will have a ton of trouble in the Championship next season.
MUR, did you ever explain your goal?
Did you guys name the nine unrelegated Premier League teams
The Evil Lions restore their two goal advantage , leading 1-3 at Bristol Rovers
I named the teams at 7:12.
40 minutes in... so bad from United
The fans should boo... I am
I stood in line , waiting my turn. Each person took a spot kick from a few yards out with the mascot keeping goal in a child size goal. My first attempt was saved, but the second was in the upper 90 to my left.
Well done
YOU MISSED!!
I guessed two of them.
Seven goals from the last ten Prem matches. Really horrible.
Goals flying in Bristol
Rovers 1 Millwall 3
Thanks, UWS. Yes. He made a great save, but the second attempt went in. It's really small target.
Rovers got a goal back but the Lions went straight down the other end and got their two goal lead back
Lindy gets a yellow there for a lunge in.
Lindy booked for a late challenge on Ayew.
I don't get the tackling by these modern day players... studs up ... MORONS
Coventry take the lead at Scunny. Too little, too late
That could have been red, honestly.
Bristol Rovers score to make it 2-3 vs the Evil Lions.
Martial with a good run... get a better cross over
another front post crap... this time it was flicked on.. comes to nothing
A pair of stoppage time minutes.
This match is going the way of all of yesterday's games
Penalty to United. Referee Swarbrick too his time but he's pointed to the spot!
Penalty!!
Ref wasn't sure
Never a penalty.... I HATE IT!!
Looks from the replay that Rash "earned" that one by dragging his foot.
Jose off to the dressing room.
AND HE MISSES UNITED WINNING A PENALTY.
Rash put through by Lindy and it looks like not one bit of contact was made.
This is going to put gloss on this CRAPPY performance
Of course, Rooney still has to score... GOAL
So undeserved it is ridiculous !
Rooney to take...and scores!
United will go in 1-0 up at the interval. I'm off for a snuggle with the missus.
GOAL !!! ROON GIVES UNITED THE LEAD FROM THE SPOT, SENDING FLAPPY THE WRONG WAY
First OT goal in almost a year... that says it all
half time
United fans should still boo!!
United one up at the half due to a penalty that wasn't. Agreed that it's undeserved.
As I type, United are in third!!
Chesterfield tie it up at Bramall Lane in a meaningless end of season local derby between top and bottom.
Charlton two up vs already relegated Swindon.
GD is quite close between the three teams
United 27, Pool 28, City 28... Arsenal 24
United get a gift of that goal
United need to come out and play MUCH better
There are so many people complaining about the refs and getting decisions wrong... where are the people complaining about the player blatantly cheating and trying to con them
Video replay could change this.
Retro punishment as well.
I am so fed up with all the time wasting going on as well
The game needs to be fixed.
I was never a fan of stopping the clock. I always like that you never knew exactly how much time there is left but getting SEVEN added minutes is getting ridiculous.
The ref should stop the clock for players on the ground, walking off the field as slow as a snail, all the pointless substituting at the end. If the clock is stopped.... all this patheticness would stop!
The ref could add a minute or so for things like ball going into the stands , setting up walls and stuff
Last weekend at Wembley... David Luis writhing on the ground forever then sprinting two second later
Ref can go straight up to him and show him as he presses the stop button... stay there as long as you like... clock ain't running
Things have to change
Second half underway
United have to better... don't they
Swansea about to get us started in the second half. It was a disappointing first half but the Swans have enough quality to make this interesting.
Get off the penalty decision... it happens all over the place
Back from a refreshing shower, feeling cleaner than United.
Old Trafford is so quiet.. so sad
HOW THE HELL DID ROONEY NOT SCORE THERE!
Oh - Rooney had a clear shot at goal but he hit Kung Fu's back instead!
Saved by Martial... damn it
OH!!! Roon with a close range effort that was blocked from a karate chop from his own player./
Sorry for my rant earlier but something has to happen to the game I love
Can't believe how bad Blind is
I agree, UWS. Plenty of changes need to occur. Some of this was occurring in the USL match even though it wasn't to the extent that we see in the top level leagues.
Swansea look they are going to score every time there is a delivery into the box
This half is the same as the first
United are pathetic
How did this side make a semi final!
A mid table Spanish side would be three up!
Things are looking good for the first leg
Swansea are having trouble getting the ball off United now.
Strange to say that this is the joint second highest scoring match this weekend. Really horrible.
Rovers are back within one goal again... Can they stay there for more than a minute
2-3 Millwall
If Rovers do tie it up, Southend would go above Millwall
The irony is, though, that you've already won the League Cup this season, you're odds on favorites to win the Europa League and this win will launch you into third! On paper it looks to be a successful season, even if you aren't playing well.
Bailey is down after a challenge on LLorente.
Now Bailly is hurt
A lot of these injuries are coming about from moronic tackling by themselves
Bailly hobbles off now but he'll certainly continue.
Agreed. It's strange to see what we've achieved, yet we could be doing so much better
I don't see how we are odds on for the EL
United were good in the first leg against Anderlecht but only drew 1-1
We were VERY lucky in the second leg
Everyone is saying United are favorites... it's just because of the name not the team
Bolton fans are cheering.... Bolton two up
Rooney is only 31... I can't believe how fast and far he has dropped
Scunny tie it up vs Coventry while Bolton go two up vs Posh on their way to an immediate return to the Championship.
BUGGER!!! Bailey is down. We're really short on defenders.
Bailly is done... pulls up
Darmian coming on.... Young, Valencia, Blind and Darmian... ouch
Again, Bailly's injury was his own fault
Darmian looks set to replace him. Not sure how Jose will reshuffle the lineup.
He should have brought on one of the youngster on the bench
Bailly won't be able to continue - Darmian on for him.
Leroy Fer on for Ki.
It's a Fer Cop as he replaces Ki, who failed to unlock the United defense.
Not a Darmian fan, UWS?
Ouch - boom, boom MUR!
Just careless
Loves to have a cuddle on free kicks
Marital with a shot... Flappy parries... no one there
OH!!! Flappy fumbles a karate chopped shot on to the post then the rebound is cleared for a corner.
Again, goals count
United is a goal behind the other two
Score a couple and we would be ahead
Top leads bottom as the Evil Blades now lead Chesterfield 2-1.
Martial will love all these injuries today... he will play a full 90
Cheers, Bob. There's more in my locker.
Thomas Jefferson Montero is on as he declares his independence from Britton.
THAT IS SO BAD!!!!!!
Worse than United's performance?
Bottom scores at top to make it Desmond at Bramall Lane.
Just about on par with United's performance, mate.
Charlton now three up vs relegated Swindon.
ouch again!!
Montero wins a corner off of fellow Ecuadorian , Valencia.
This game is going like almost all the others at OT
A useless performance, a lucky goal giving teams a chance to tie it up... mostly they do
Montero down just minutes after coming on.
Thomas Jefferson looks to be ready to be stretchered back to Monticello right about now.
Montero coming off after just coming on
Rochdale ties it up vs Bradford City, but it really doesn't affect either tea,
The sub on for the sub as one of the Olsson twins is on for Jeff Montero.
The Fake Dons go three up at Wasall.
That penalty was more charitable than anything given to the United Way. It's just not the United Way. That is of playing.
United 15 minutes plus... who knows how much time away from Third
Oh - Valencia was cued up for a shot that Flappy palmed away.
End to end as Swansea streak up the pitch to lay on one for Siggy - over the bar.
Great save by Flapp from Valencia off a pass from Herrera.
Then Siggy shoots well over on the break.
