A Rather Late Start to a Sunday
Morning, chaps! I decided to give the early match between Bournemouth and Southampton in favor of a lie in and some grading. I think I made the right call, as the Cherries and Saints played out what sounds like a drab 1-1 draw. But I'm settling in now with a full stomach to enjoy the Citeh v. West Ham. Citeh can equal a Premiership record of 13 wins on the trot with a win over the Hammers today. Join me for all the fun, won't you?

Good morning, Bob. I will be surprised if Citeh don't match that record. Zaba leading the struggling Hammers six months after being released by Citeh
There’s talk that West Ham are lining up with a back three. On Sky TV, Jamie Carragher has been asked what he’s expecting from them. “Not much.”
Morning, MUR - how has your morning been?
It has been very relaxing. Thank you for asking. How has your morning been?
They're off from the Etihad.
Citeh get us started wearing their traditional sky blue and white strip. West Ham are in their all-black away number. Arlo and Le Sox on the mic.
Does anybody wonder what I expect from the Hammers?
Citeh , as expected, win an early corner.
Busy - I decided to grade some papers in lieu of the early match. I think I made the right decision. Hope this one is good.
Early shout for a penalty as Raheem Sterling goes over in the box.
KDB takes it short and Sterling thought he was tripped in the box, but Jimmy Dean says that fall was a real sausage and to get up and play on.
Hope you are able to have a more relaxing time once you get done grading. Finals start next week?
What do I expect from the visitors? Any guesses?
Zaba blocks for a Citeh corner on his return to the Etihad. Mangala heads wide from the corner.
Moyes and Psycho is not exactly a recipe for success . Surely,, Hammers fans deserve better. A return to the Etihad for Psycho.
Nope - next week is "Dead Week," used by students to study for finals. Finals pop up the following week (December 11-15). And then we're done for the semester.
A rare Hammers corner is headed on and Antonio volleys over from close range. Musty said that Citeh are weak at defending near post corners.
Decent set piece routine there and Antonio nearly got in at the far post.
Sorry. I meant December 11th. Finals start on the 11th for most of the universities in Texas.
What do we expect from the visitors ? Do you know the answer to the question?
Some final scores from, FA Cup 2nd Round matches that just finished:
Real Dons 3 Charlton 1
Blackburn 3 Motley Crewe 3
Coventry 3 Boreham Wood 0
Donny Trump 3 Scunny 0
Gateshead 0 Luton 5
Jayne 3 Guiseley 0
Newport County 2 Cambridge 0
Woking 1 Posh 1
Wycombe 3 Leatherhead 0
I assume that you're expecting that Moyes and co. will get Hammered today, right?
Ten men Rangers won 1-2 at Aberdeen with Windass scoring the winner.
Well done, mate. That was the correct answer.
Just a reminder that the Third Round draw will be made tomorrow some time between 2:10 and 2:20 EST. Shortly before Slough Town vs Rochdale kicks off.
Oh - more enterprising work from the Hammers. Citeh look a bit jittery at the back. Ederson snatched that cross well.
Ederson does well to collect a dangerous Hammers pass at the feet of Maasoukou.
I had a feeling that there would be a pun involved, mate. ;-)
Young Declan Rice booked for an In Sane challenge at the halfway line.
Just to let you know that Joe Hart is not available to play in this match since he's on loan from Citeh. Adrian is playing in goal for the Hammers, but I would have picked Rocky.
Ederson actually collected at the feet of Antonio. The pass was probably from Massuokou , who is replacing the out of form Mark Noble in the starting lineup.
Not a bad start for the East Enders - Moyes will be happy. Perhaps Citeh are feeling a bit of pressure with the record on the line?
I heard Arlo mention that - I was surprised to hear that Joe Hart's still on Citeh's books, as he's been to Italy and back.
He took a turn to Torino and made a U turn back to Blighty. I think Dennis Law had a spell there.
A key local Derby in the Championship tomorrow as the Brummies host Wolves.
Adrian does well to tip over a shot from Silva
Oh - Silva with the first real shot in anger. Ricocheted off a defender and then was tipped over.
That is a big derby match. My Fredonia buddy Nick, who is a huge Wolves fan, will be on pins and needles for that one. He's loving this season.
Obbiang clears for another Citeh corner.
That was not exactly A Sterling effort from long range.
Citeh perhaps starting to turn the screw a bit.
Will you be around for the Third Round draw? I will be teaching. I don't like the Monday night forma.
Moyes' men are parking the bus now - will they get a ticket?
I won't be - I've got back to back meetings tomorrow afternoon, unfortunately.
No. I'm guessing it will get towed for parking in a no parking zone.
Moyes will be feeling cross that that the cross didn't beat the first man
That would be harsh! So far, they've been richly rewarded for the conservative approach. Moyes would be delighted to go in 0-0.
The Hammers improving as Lanzini has a shot pushed into the side netting by Ederson.
Heart in mouth time for Ederson who bobbled that drive from Lanzini.
Citeh would be embarrassed if their winning streak was ended by Moyes Boys, of all teams.
Sane has a shot deflected for a Citeh corner.
Taking typically short by Sane to KDB and Walker , more like rushed it over, halfway to Leeds.
The Coyote appears to be down for the Hammers.
Pep have an animated chat with Fab Delph for some reason.
Bob will not be pleased to see the LUFC Academy player getting a real Pep talk.
Citeh fans not too happy about that lengthy delay. The Coyote is back on the pitch now.
Fab did well for us - best of luck to him.
Free kick chance now for Citeh.
Massoukou fouls Kyle Walker. The free kick from KDB is headed away
Kouyate won't be able to continue then. He's choked up about it. Sakho coming on for him.
Sackho on for the injured Coyote , who as howling. Sackho was receiving directions from Moyes and Chris Woods.
Sackho immediately wins a corner for the Hammers. Their second of the match
GOAL! Oh my word! The Hammers are ahead at the Etihad!
WOW !!! OBBIANG HEADS THE HAMMERS IN TO THE LEAD FROM A CROSS OFF A SHORT CORNER. SUPERB CROSS FROM LANZINI
Didn't they work it well? Great ball over and Ogbanna rose so well to nod past Ederson.
0-1!
Sorry. it was Ogbonna, who scored as we enter stoppage time. A quartet of minutes.
That was his first ever Premier League goal. What a time to score!
Aguero is offside as his close range effort was blocked by Adrian off a superb slide rule pass from Silva
A Hammers win would be the upset of the season so far. Johnno must be delighted.
The Hammers are one up at the half in a real shocker!
Peep peep! Well, then. The Hammers have shocked the Etihad into silence, then. They scored at the perfect time.
Jesus coming on as a sub for Citeh on a Sunday, replacing Danilo. An extra striker for Citeh
The second half is underway
Back on at the Etihad. I still half expect Citeh to run out 3-1 winners.
Citeh players got a real Pep talk at halftime. Will bald power prevail?
Obbiang fouls KDB about 25 yards from goal.
Adrian punches away the free kick, but was more like Rocky with the fists.
That's a reasonable prediction, mate.
Gelson Fernades wins a corner of of KDB. Should have been given as a goal kick.
Mnagala concedes a free kick to the Hammers by the touchline.
Quesadillas have arrived at my side for lunch. Back in a tick.
Sane wins a corner off of Zaba, taken short.
Great kick save by Adrian that deflected off of the offside Jesus.
Sound like a great choice. Enjoy.
Delph goes on a solo run and was tripped in the D, nearly being made to look like Rice A Roni
Adrain does well to push away a powerful free kick from KDB.,
GOAL !!!! PLAY ENSUES AND OTAMENDI TIES IT UP WITH AN EASY TAP IN.
From the resulting throw, Jesus went on a solo run, and his pass was diverted in from a yard out by Otamendi despite the challenge of Adrian
KDB booked for chopping down Obbiang.
Adrian does well to push away a shot from Sane.
Back after the bite to eat. Not surprised to see that Otamendi goal fly in.
Welcome back. Was it a cheesy lunch?
He may be Adrian but he has the fists of Rocky, not Bullwinkle.
Silva had a chance there but blasted high and wide. Adrian not happy with his defenders.
Not easy to see a Silva lining for Citeh with that atrocious long range effort.
Sane goes on a sol run , but Adrian pushes away his powerful effort shot straight at him.
A cross from Sterling is headed away and a long range effort from Sane is not too far off the target.
Arnautovic on for Lanzini.
A long range pile driver from KDB is gathered by Adrian
Another superb save from Adrian, this time from Jesus, but Sterling loses his footing as he was about to put away an easy rebound.
Citeh needed a last second winner vs the Saints today. Will the same happen today?
Arnautovic offside by a country mile.
Citeh might still get the Silva medal today. Not a convincing performance at all. Does it make you more confident about next weekend's Manc Derby?
Superb last ditch tackle by Mnagala to stop Antonio, who would have been through on goal.
Citeh pressure leads to another corner. Then Antonio concedes another corner to Citeh
The Citeh derby will be difficult to predict as we had Twilight to thank for tying the league record with fourteen saves. I expect a draw on Derby Sunday
Ederson superbly saves a long range effort from Antonio on a rare second half counter from the Hammers
GOAL! What a finish from Silva!!!!!
GOAL !!! A REAL SILVA LINING FOR CITEH
Marvelous build up and then a superb finish from David Silva with both feet off the ground. A suitable winner.
2-1!
As with the first Citeh goal, it started with a throw down the right. Several passes later a superb cross from KDB was superb volleyed in the corner by Silva past fellow Spaniard, Adrian
Pep shutting up shop as Fernandinho is on for Aguero.
Will this be third consecutive 2-1 win for Citeh? Will they tie the to flight record for consecutive league wins?
Delph helping Antonio, who appears to have cramp. He's replaced by Andy Ayew.
Oh - Sakho nearly notched an equalizer. That would have set the cat amongst the pigeons. Just past the post.
OH!!!! just wide by Sackho as Arnautovic got a pass from Zaba . Outmuscled Mangala and laid it on a plate for Sackho.
I think it might be - Citeh are doing what all champions need to do: win ugly when they aren't quite clicking.
Into a quartet of stoppage time minutes,.
A cameo for Bernie in "Weekend at Bernie's" He's on for Sane.
Adrian booked for tripping Jesus as he rushed out of his box.
Citeh fans having some fun with Adrian who has been time wasting the whole second half. Now he's urgently putting the ball back into play.
Jesus booked for time wasting ahead of a Hammers free kick. Taken long by Adrian, headed away ,and that's it as Citeh defeat the Hammers 2-1.
Citeh tie the record with a baker's dozen of consecutive top flight league wins.
That's it! Citeh have scraped through another ugly win 2-1. They're back up to eight points up on United ahead of the derby, which looks crucial.
Nice watching this one with you, mate. I'll post the 3rd Round Draw tomorrow.
Rebecca said that Citeh have the best ever start to a top flight season, edging out the 1960 Spuds team on goal difference.
It was great chatting with you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll be passing on the draw as well. Cheers, mate.
