More Holiday Football : The Toon vs Citeh
I know that they always say that's why they play the games, but really??? AN upset in the making? Who are kidding.? Citeh have won sixteen in a row , breaking all sorts of records . Meanwhile, the Toon are a point above the drop zone, not knowing where the next win is unless Jeff Stelling brings his team around. Seriously, the Toon and their long suffering and really loyal fans, are on a hiding to nothing unless they play a 10-0-0 formation. Join me if you can.

They're off from SJP with Shelvey completing a 50 yard pass to Ederson
This match starring Raffa Benitez as Santa, Pep as the Artful Dodger , and Mike Ashley as Ebineezer Scrooge.
Such is the confidence with Citeh that Kompany goes off injured and is replaced with another striker, Jesus
Citeh have had about 90% possession with A close range volley from Aguero clipping the outside of the post and a long range effort from KDB a couple of feet over the bar.
Citeh have completed 182 passes to the Toon's 26 and have a 90% completion rate compared to 42% for the Toon.
Rob Elliott made a world class off a close range header from Aguero off a curling free kick from KDB
GOAL !!!! STERLING GIVES CITEH THE LEAD. A LOFTED PASS BY KDB WAS VOLLEYED OFF THE INSIDE OF THE NEAR POST BY STERLING
Aguero had a long range effort about a foot wide then Citeh scored on the following possession,.
OH!!!! The Tooon nearly equalize on their first attack of the match. A superb cross field pass from Shelvey found Yedlin and his seprb pass into the box found an unmarked Rolando Aarons. He lobbed Ederson then Otamendi came out of the middle of nowhere to head off the line and over the bar.
Citeh one up at the half. The league leaders had a couple more close chances , but credit to the Toon for keeping the score down.
The second half is underway from SJP.
Citeh thought they had gone two up. KDB had a long range effort crash off the post and Aguero put away the rebound , but was flagged offside.
Another chance for Citeh. A rare Toon attack resulted in Ederson catching a cross. Hios long clearance was a pin point pass to Sterling. His cross was nearly headed out for an OG by Lascelles. Wide by a matter of inches.
Citeh with a rare mistake at the back as they cough up possession then Dwight Gayle is through on goal and instead of shooting is booked for a horrible attempt at trying to win a penalty. A horrible dive.
That's it as Citeh hang on to win 0-1 at SJP despite a less than impressive performance.
The Toon can take credit from this match as they gave it a go the final ten minutes, inspired by their passionate fans. Their best chance came two minutes before stoppage time when the three subs combined. A nice cross field pass from Merino found Atsu. He beat two defenders, then his cross was headed just wide by Dwight Gayle . Ederson appeared to have it covered.
Citeh extend their record to eighteen consecutive wins and tie the all time Premier league record with eleven consecutive away wins. They also have a fifteen point lead.
