Pre-Christmas Footer
The Christmas period started with a bang yesterday with a 3-3 thriller between Arsenal and Liverpool. We've got a full schedule of Premier League and Championship goodies on offer this morning, starting with Everton v. Chelsea. Unfortunately, I won't be around, as I'm helping out Kate and her family with holiday preparations. But I thought I'd start the thread and get you started. Enjoy the day, lads. I hope to catch up with you tomorrow. Cheers!

Good morning. Sorry you won't be around, Bob, but hopefully Dave will. Thank you for starting the thread.
It starts with Chelsea vs the Toffees in a Z Cars Derby!
They're off from SB
Sorry. From Goodison Park
Boxing is usually the busiest day on the English Footie Calendar, but in the Prem it's today with matches in four time slots instead of the usual three.
Kenae headed out for a Chelsea corner taken short and after several shots are blocked, a long range effort from Pedro is just wide.
Nearly the lead for Chelsea as Bakayoko got easily past Martina down the left and his superb cross was volleyed by Willian who had two efforts cleared off the line by Jags in a matter of seconds.
Toffees fans are not pl;eased by the fact that dominating to the point that Everton are almost mere spectators. It's like Fat Sam has left in the dressing room.
More dominanace from the visitors and Martina is late with a challenge on Victor Moses just outside the Toffees box. Kevin Kilbane agrees with Yours Truly and Toffees fans that a booking is harsh
Not enough curl on the free kick from Willian as it's harmlessly wide. The pass to Moses that led to the free kick was better,.
Bakayoko does well to pick out Pedro, whose shot is tipped over by Pickford.
It's 0-0 at the half as the Toffees weathered an early storm as Chelsea looked like scoring at will the first fifteen minutes of the match
The second half is underway as Fat Sam has made a double substitution. Sandro on for Aaron Lennon and Ashley Williams for Tom Davies.
Pickford with a great save from Pedros then Ashley Williams with an immediate impact as he clears the rebound from Marcos Alonso off the line
The Hazard picks out Willian , who shoots well wide.
This looks like it's Gana to spell trouble for Fat Sam as his ball winning middie is down with what appears to be an injured hammie. If so, that will be his final roll of the dice only five minutes into the second half.
He's Gana to go off for treatment and it is the final roll of the dice as he's replaced by Banigimie , who has only started one Prem match for the Toffees.
In El Classico, Barca is two up at the Bernabeu with goals from Suarez and a Messi penalty while Carvajal has been sent off for Real.
Rangers one up at Killie early in the second half.
Binigimie and Keane combine to foul Hazard from behind. Keane is the one booked.
Sammy Lee and Conte sharing a laugh about it. As Peter Dreary has stated, it's strange to see We e Sammy in an Everton kit.
The first Chelsea change and it's a Spanish swap with Fab on for Pedro.
Pickford does well to push away a low long range pile driver from Hazard
Barca end up winning 0-3 at the Bernabeu with two of the goals scored after Carvajal was sent off for Real. Alex Vidal with third Barca goal in the third minute of stoppage time.
Conte going for it as he brings on an extra striker. Batshuyai for Willian
Yikes !!!! A fizzing cross from Victor Moses is headed on to his own bar by Ashley Williams. The closest either team has come to scoring.
A short corner from Chelsea that's a training ground routine. Played to Hazard, whose shot is diverted by Rudiger straight to Pickford.
The final roll of the dice from Conte as Zapacosta is on for Victor Moses, which will provide more width for Chelsea.
Killie have come from behind with two goals in three minutes to take a 2-1 lead vs Rangers
Hazard goes past Siggy and his shot deflects off Jags, but falls kindly for Pickford with a nice pick.
Four minutes of stoppage time and a superb corner by Siggy is headed high and wide by Keane. That was his chance to steal it for the Toffees.
A cross from Zapacosta is nearly diverted in for an OG by Schneiderlin, but it's a Chelsea corner
It's over and Fat Sam got what he aimed for: a 0-0 draw. The Toffees, in typical Fat Sam fashion without a shot on target, but somehow manage to get a point from the match
Killie came from behind to defeat Rangers 2-1.
Citeh vs the Cherries on NBCSN and the Swans vs Palace on CNBC
They're off from the Liberty
And now from the Etihad.
Gooner's beloved Ian Darke with the commentary from the Etihad along with former Gunner, Matty Upson.
A contrast of managers at the Liberty as it's seventy year old Uncle Woy vs 35 year old , Leon Britton, who is caretaker manager because Paul Clement walked the plank a few days ago.
GOAL !!!!! AGUERO HEADS CITEH INTO THE LEAD. A COMEDY OF ERRORS FROM THE CHERRIES, WHO HAD BEEN PERFECT PRIOR TO THAT. A POOR CLEARANCE FROM BEGOVIC AND THREE PASSES LATER A CROSS FROM FERNANDINHO FOUND A WIDE OPEN WGUERO, WHO PICKED HIS SPOT AS HE BEAT THE OFFSIDE TRAP.
Citeh one up at the half vs the Cherries where the league leaders have never really hit top gear. It's 0-0 between the Swans and Palace.
GOAL !!!!! CITEH GO TWO UP. CITEH WON THE BALL IN MIDFIELD AND FIFTEEN PASSES LATER A PASS FROM SANE WAS BACK HEELED BY AGUERO AND STERLING SCORED WITH JUST BEGOVIC TO BEAT.
PENALTY PALACE AS FERNANDEZ IS CALLED FOR A TRIP ON LOFTUS-CHEEK OFF A PASS FROM ZAHA.
GOAL !!!! MILOVOJEVIC SENDS FLAPPY THE WRONG WAY FROM THE SPOT. NOT A GOOD START FOR LEON BRITTON.
The Swans try to tie it up as Tammy Abraham chests down a long ball, goes past three Palace players , but slices a shot high and wide.
WAY HAY!!! Leeds one up vs the Tigers thanks to a goal from Pablo Hernandez.
The Swans first shot on target as Tammy Abraham takes a pass from Narsingh , but his close range effort is blocked by Flappy.
GOAL !!!! JORDAN AYEW TIES IT UP FOR THE SWANS WITH SOMETHING FROM THE TOP DRAWER.
Ayew nearly gives the swans the lead as he cuts inside and his shot is about a foot wide.
The goal came from a long Swansea possession that culminated in a pass from Tom Carroll . Ayew cut inside MacArthur then shot past the on rushing Loftus-Cheek with a shot in the upper 90 from just outside the D
GOAL !!! AGUERO WITH HIS SECOND HEADED GOAL AS HE PUTS CITEH THREE UP. A MARATHON CITEH POSSESSION CULMINATED IN A CROSS FROM BERNIE SILVA HEADED IN BY AGUERO. LIKE A TRAINING SESSION.
GOAL DANILO PUTS CITEH FOUR UP WITH HIS FIRST GOAL FOR CITEH
the cherries were attacking and after a few midfield tussles Sterling put through Danilo who beat the on rushing Begovic at the near post.
