A Late Weekend Start
Morning, chaps - I took advantage of the lack of early morning games to have a lie in this morning. So, I'm just rousing myself ahead of the 10am EST matches. Those include Chelski v. Leicester on NBC Sports and my beloved Leeds United away to Ipswich at our old stomping grounds at Portman Road. Later on, we've got Spurs v. Everton. Join me here on the LOB for all the action.

Morning Boys
Had some really mild weather yesterday with some torrential downpours and almost all the snow had gone... this morning.... the coldness is back and so is the snow!
Probably walking Shadow at half time but I am here for now
So, who will Sanchez go to? Will he go to his wanted destination of the Etihad? Will he land across the city at Old Trafford? I don't want to give up players for him. I guess Miki would be fine but now they are talking about Martial. I don't want Arsenal to get him
Six Nations is now going to be on NBC... well done
Good morning, Bob and Dave. I took advantage of the late kickoff as well.
Sunny and cool here. I won't be around for the late match nor tomorrow because I will be leaving once this match ends to help Melanie move into her dorm for the Spring Semester,
Yikes! The Black Cats were thrashed 4-0 at Evil Neil's house of horrors. All the goals were scored in the second half with three cored after NDong the Bong was sent off.
Lee Mason leading the teams out of the tunnel at the Bridge . Will he job one of them?
I'm back from an early morning shoveling session. We got a foot and a half of the white stuff here last night. I'll be at it most of the morning in between the matches.
They're off from SB
The teams out on the pitch at the Bridge now:
Chelski - Courtois, Azpi, Christiansen, Cahill, Baka, Zappa, Kante, Alonso, Pedro, Morata, Hazard.
Leicester - Kasper, Maguire, Dragovic, Fuchs, Amartey, Ndidi, Iborra, Gray, Marrez, Albrighton, Vardy.
We are off at the Bridge
COME ON FOXES
Welcome back, mate. Sorry you and Dave are shoveling the white stuff. I was raking leaves on my day off yesterday
Welcome back, Dave.
We got all rain!
Only an inch or so for us today
Did you see that I typed about the Back Cats being thrashed at Evil Neil's. Fred loudly woke us up and needed consoling.
Bob, does your semester start this week?
Matt goes back to Siena this weekend and Jon starts at Hudson Valley again
I did see
When I checked it was still scoreless
Not too bad then
I'm leaving at the end of this match to help move Melanie's luggage into her dorm.
Shadow is at me for walkies....don't think I can wait until half time
I guess I have to go now and listen to it on my phone
I shall return
Melanie left yesterday to go to a percussion camp and texted me that she made the Dean's list. A different one than the Gunners players made. BOOM BOOM!
Cheers, Dave, Keep warm.
Jonny On The Spot gives the Baggies a much needed lead vs the Seagulls.
We're back next Monday, mate - the 22nd. Just some meetings at the end of this coming week.
Meanwhile, Okozaki blasts over in the six yard box on a rare Foxes attack
Then Vardy shoots just wide. Both chances set up by Chilwell.
Another attack and Vardy shoots wide of the on rushing Courtois, beating Cahill for pace.
Oh - Okazaki has another chance now at the near post. He should be on the scoresheet for sure.
Oh - now Ndidi with a free header. Unfortunately for the Foxes he Ndidn't score. Saved off the line.
Courtois superbly saves a close range header from Ndidi off the corner.
End to end stuff at the start of this match - great stuff!
Kasper does well to save a Fab shot.
Melanie starts classes on Tuesday. She made the Dean's list. but not the one Premier League players get on.
Yeovil , our opponents in the Fourth Round of the Cup, take the lead at Port Vale.
Marvelous - give her a congratulatory squeeze for me. That's tremendous!
Rotherham takes the lead at Oldham
Thanks, mate. I sure will.
Hazard with a horrible diving attempt to win a free kick about an inch outside the box.
You will be amused to read that the Steel City Derby finished 0-0. Louvens sent off for Not A Big Club.
A penalty shout at Selhurst Park: Burnley central defender James Tarkowski goes through Crystal Palace’s Bakary Sako, prompting penalty appeals from the home players and their fans. Referee Michael Oliver waves play on.
Charlie Mulgrew gives Blackburn the lead vs the Shrews in L1 promotion six pointer.
I love that. I had no interest in watching that dross. They may know how to make steel in Sheffield, but they don't know how to play football.
Dave will be pleased that Pompey have taken the lead vs Scunny.
I ran errands and raked leaves, which turned out to be more interesting, LOL!
Not a lot of goals in the first quarter hour of these kickoffs. Just that Jonny Evans goals for the Baggies to show for it.
Akinfenwa gives Wycombe the lead vs Colchester. Is that the one that is the world's strongest footballer?
The Saints must have heard my plaint. James Ward-Prowse has side footed home an opening goal for Soton away to Watford. It's his second goal of the season.
A surprise in L2 as struggling Chetsrfield takes the lead vs table topping Luton.
Will that save his manager's job?
A successful return to St. Andrews for Gary Rowett as Johnny Russell gives the Rams the lead, trying to stay second.
Another Prem goal as Sako gives Palace the lead vs Burnley.
Mark Noble gives the Hammers the lead at the Terriers.
Accrington Stanley takes the lead at Cheltenham while struggling Chesterfield goes two up vs table topping Luton.
Gary Rowett can be forgiven for looking smug in the Gary Rowett derby. His current club, Derby County, are leading the one that sacked him so controversially, thanks to Johnny Russell’s deflected opener on 19 minutes.
Newport takes the lead at Grimsby.
Wycombe goes two up vs Colchester
Gary Rowett's team is second while the team that sacked him is second from bottom. He must be loving that
Now the goals are coming. Mark Noble takes advantage of some defensive dithering in the Huddersfield ranks to nick the ball and slot in off the upright. West Ham 0-1 up at Hudders.
Morecambe and Wise takes the lead vs Stevenage.
Rochdale takes the lead at the Gils.
Gary Cahill has some trouble now - I think he's done his hammy.
Cahill is down off a challenge with Vardy. Did he twist his hammy?
Cahill doesn't want to come off but he's going to have to.
Gary Cahill is replaced by Christiansen as it's far from a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale ending.
Two quick goals at Burton and it's 1-1 between Burton and QPR.
I am back fro a chilly walk... I was listening to this match on the phone... Sounds like Leicester should be at least there up!
QPR took the lead at Richard Burton then Liz Taylor tied it up for the home side a couple of minutes later.
Tony asked me to be part of the Walnut Tree football pool. Every week you have to pick a winner. You can only pick a team once
I picked Newcastle... if they don't win... I am out the first week!
Welcome back, Dave. Glad you are in the comfy home to join us.
Oh - Fabregas pulls a great shot out of his locker and Kasper is equal to it - tipping over.
The Shrews tie it up in the big L1 match at Ewood Park.
Lovely jubbly..I have Final Score on
LEEDS ARE DOWN TO TEN MEN!!
O'Kane with a straight red!
Welcome back, mate - you must have been freezing!
What?! That's the second straight red in a row for us!
First second I am on FS the red cad being reported
Lolley Pop ties it up for the Terriers vs the Hammers.
They do know they can play with 11 the whole match?
It was a straight red so that is a three match ban
Eunan O'Kane sent off for Leeds.
Huddersfield are back on level terms - Joe Lolley scores his first Premier League goal.
Swansea should have had a penalty
If not worse! The FA threw the book at Sammy Saiz.
Not good PR for Leeds at Pr where it's 0-0 as it is in Dave's match at SJP
Southampton two up at Vicarage Road
They really need a win.. out of the drop zone on GD
Apparently it was a headbutt from O'Kane on Jonas Knudsen. What an idiot!
A minute of stoppage time at SB while the Bees take the lead vs Bolton.
Just love watching Final Score!!
Iis on the BBC Red Button channel and starts on BBC1 in the second half!
It is just like listening to 5 Live
It's 0-0 at the half at SB
I thought it was a hack
Goalless at Stamford Bridge. It's been good but the players need to finish their chances.
Pompey one up v Scunny
HT at the Bridge... shame Leicester aren't on top
O'Kane must have been trying to tell Knudsen that he's not a Great Dane. That's not the way to go about it.
WBA would get their first win after 21 times of asking in the Premier League!
Didn't 'they win their first two and nowt
Petty lash out when the ball was out of play by O'Kane
Final Score starting on BBC 1 but staying on Red Button
We are off
Really want Chelsea to drop points
Should have been all three but I think have blown their shot
Chelsea will score
West Ham retake the lead at Huddersfield
Back on for the second halfs. 0-0 at Portman Road. I'd probably take a draw at this point away from home and just inch closer to Championship security.
Annoutavic(sp?) the the goal
Agreed, UWS. I don't like Chelski this season. They probably will score but Leicester also look capable of scoring.
Don't like Chelsea any season!!
You don't like Leicester.
I like the way they play...they attack
Match hasn't started yet at Portman Road
As for Red Card, not sure if it was a slap or elbow
Bummer....Scunny ties it up at Fratton Park
Was that a pen? Not given
not a pen....stay up a score!!!
West From two up vs Seagulls
I'm still angry about the way that the team turned against Claudio Ranieri and got him sacked after they helped them win them a title. I hate player's strikes.
I agree with you there
Mahrez should be booked for that obvious dive - ridiculous!
Kante picks up his requisite yellow card. He starts on a yellow card for me.
Damn... deflected shot...just wide
Willian and Pedro on for Hazard and Morata.
Chelsea making two changes
Hazard and Fab coming off
Final Score agree with me... why did he go over!!
West Ham 3-1 up
Lanzini
Chelsea better not win this!
Watford get a goal back
Chris Brunt has fired the Baggies 2-0 over Brighton.
I was thinking... does anyone wear the number seven shirt at Old Trafford. If so, WHY THE HELL NOT?
Hey, is it open for Sanchez
Back from running some errands for the trip. I will be gone tomorrow since I will be heading back home tomorrow. Will anyone be around for the Monday match
I will be around...no school for me
Welcome back
The West Derby could be the first Prem in for the Baggies since August
Damn it.. Swansea take the lead!
Thanks, Dave. Glad to be back.
Andy Ayew with the goal. Sorry, Dave,.
I don't have off Monday, but I'm giving myself the day off Monday, so I will be around too.
West Ham FOUR one up
Lanzini with his second of the half
Willian's making an impression here. Wins a free kick off Chilwell. Nicely set up for the Blues now.
I like that Lanzini kid - I don't know why WH aren't better.
Fergie at Huddersfield today
Derby two up at St Andrews
Cleared out for a corner.
Well done
I though MLK Day was a National Holiday
Bottom two clubs both leading. My mistake about the West Derby. Baggies leading the Seagulls. Bottom four all leading?
This is the only Premiership match now that is scoreless. Thanks, NBC!
Lanzini at the double > Hammers now 1-4 up at the Terriers.
Thanks, Dave . It is, but out district doesn't give that day off. Jacquelyn's district does, so the three of us will make a day of it before the United match
It’s Birmingham 0-2 Derby County in the Gary Rowett derby, after Matej Vydra doubles the visitors’ advantage.
There is no way Chelsea deserve ANYTHING from this match
To be honest, I don't think any of us expected this match to be scoreless.
Chigwell's in trouble now - he's got a second yellow and he's off! Leicester down to the ten men!
Use common sense
YIKES!!!!! Chilwell sent off for a second yellow. A definite foul on Moses, but a bit harsh
Tony Gale thinks it's harsh; I don't. He caught Pedro straight on the ankle.
I don't think either challenges needed a card
It is just a foul
Agreed, Dave. Now a chance for Chelsea to get an undeserved win.
Do you really think he deserves to be off for both of those tackles
Newcastle tie it up
Blackburn now lead the Shrews 2-1 in the promotion six pointer.
It's all Chelski now, as the Foxes are dropping deep with their ten men.
Northants surprisingly two up at Bradford City. Charlton expectedly take the lead at Bury
I do - both of them were really bad.
Not many goals going in the net in the Championship
Only six goals in four games... the rest...nothing
I need good thoughts for another Toon goal for me to keep in the pool
Not good value for the punters, I agree.
Not me
Joselu with that Toon goal. Dave with a chance of staying in the pool. Swans now bottom?
Okozaki replaced by Fuchs as Puel is now looking to settle for a draw.
Kante has been booked and the Leicester fans are calling for his head. Nothing doing there. Okazaki comes off and Fuchs comes on to shore things up.
Southampton really need to hold on.
They need three points
Fans cheering in the 72nd minute for the year's anniversary of Graham Taylor's death at the age of 72
Nice touch
Fred is trying to forget about the four that were scored in that mauling in the Welsh capital.
Top of the table Luton two behind at just off the bottom Chesterfield
LOL! I'm sure Fred can sleep it of.
Stevie Nicks singing about Fleetwood going two up at Southend on Sea. They travel to the Foxes on Wednesday
Hopefully, Fred has good dreams.
A quarter of an hour left in the 3pm kickoffs. Again - I'll take a 0-0 draw at Portman Road, given the circumstances.
The crossing from modern day players is so awful
Well in the Premier League at least
Forest were great with crossing last week
oh dear
Ipswich just took the lead
Oh - Bakayoko had a chance there from about 20 yards. Side foots it over the bar. Should have done better.
Abe Lincoln has come from behind to lead Notts County 2-1 in an East Midlands Derby L2 promotion six pointer. Top two losing.
Town's goal was in the 67th minute so they are way behind the match we are watching on the TV
My GBB Alvaro Morata has really gone off the boil recently. Hasn't scored in yonks and really losing ground to Kane and Salah.
Celina, the Kosovo international, on loan from Citeh with the Tractor Boys goal.
Still time for Leeds
Bugger! I jinxed it. We're up against it now, for sure.
QPR now lead 1-2 at Richard Burton.
Blackburn are 3-1 vs the Shrews
Vardy being replaced by Gray
Charlie Mulgrew with his second as he scores from the spot to give Blackburn a 3-1 lead vs the Shrews, who must be thinking about that midweek match at the London Stadium
Argyle tie it up at Donny Trump
Burnley threatening
Palace holding on
Damari Gray comes on for Vardy for the last period.
News from Wembley
Everton's new signing from Besitkas starts for the Toffees
Notts County score to make it Desmond at Abe Lincoln in the L2 promotion six pointer Derby
Wycombe goes three up vs Colchester
Besiktas replaced him by signing Canuck striker, Cyle Larin, from Orlando City of MLS. Sounds like the Toffees were the big winners in that trio.
Johnny Evans comes off with a standing ovation
Keown thinks it is because it his last appearance
Norwich take the lead at Ashton Gate
Millwall tie it up at home to PNE
Ridsdale's lads tie it up at the New Den in an Evil Championship match
James Maddison scores his eighth goal of the season to give Norwich a lead they scarcely deserve against at Bristol City. Meanwhile at the Den, Preston have equalised against Millwall, with Callum Robinson making it 1-1.
Are you sending good vibes for Newcastle to score?
This would be the third 0-0 draw in a row for Chelsea. They have drawn all four matches in 2018.
Should I?
COME ON YOU TOON.
Free kick chance to cross the ball for Newcastle... MISSES EVERYONE... CRAP professionals
thanks
We need a goal at Portman Road - come on, you Whites!
Nice stat MUR
iBORRA ON FOR maTTY jAMES TO WASTE TIME.
A quartet of stoppage time minutes.
Four stoppage minutes to come.
4 added minutes
Why so many/
Thanks, UWS!
Desmond at Southampton
QPR 3-1 at Burton
