Rooney to DC United?

The sports boffins all over the Internet were atwitter today about rumors and one Wayne Rooney is reportedly in serious talks with DC United to make a sensational move to the MLS this summer. And why not? He's not really up to the pace of the Premiership at this point. But, is he a good fit for MLS? And where the hell is Wazza going to find a decent Lob Scouse in DC?
