Russia 2018 Predictions Game - Group Stage Update 2
With Colombia's crushing victory over Poland this afternoon, we came to the end of the second round of Group Stage matches. That means that it's time to take stock of our Russia 2018 Game again. The big news is that many of the traditional powers - especially Argentina, Brazil and Germany - have struggled to find any kind of form in this tournament. That means that there are quite of few surprises in this Predictions Game. Still, there are plenty of points around, especially for those of us who were prescient enough to predict that England and Harry Kane would do well this month (three of us are picking up 8 points for Kane being on top of the scoring charts now with 5 goals).
As before, it's two points for each correct prediction of the top two teams in the group, with an extra point for the correct order. I'm still waiting to see if one of the players predicted to receive a red card in our pool will see his marching orders. Otherwise, here are the current standings:
1. Blue Devil - 37 points
2. Red Dragon - 33 pts
3. The Bee's Knees - 32 pts
- Someone Said - 32 pts
5. Man United Rules - 31 pts
6. Red Devil 1FCK - 30 pts
7. Swansong - 28 pts
8. The Saint - 27 pts
9. West Ham Rising - 26 pts
10. Gooner71 - 23 pts
11. United We Stand - 22 pts
