England vs Monte in Euro Qualifying
It's a full day of Euro qualifiers and the match of interest is England vs Montenegro on Plus with kickoff at 2:45 PM..It's very simple, England win and they are not just through, but they also win the group. Otherwise they will have to get a result in the Pristine City on Sunday. The other match of interest in the group is the Cezchs vs Kosovars on ESPN News. The winner is in a great position to finish second and all but qualify for the Euros while the loser will need to qualify in the playoffs in March. Join me for this crucial day of action

Turkey vs Iceland is currently on the Deuce and it's 0-0 a couple of minutes before halftime. Iceland need a win in Istanbul or else both France and Turkey clinch qualification for the Euros. This would force Iceland to have to qualify in the playoffs in March.

Based on current standings and NL results here are the latest standings on the playoffs in March. The teams in each league are the four best NL teams not to be in a position to qualify for the Euros by finishing in the top two in their group:
League A: Switzerland and Iceland
League B: 1) Bosnia
2) Wales
3) Slovakia
4) Northern Ireland
Denmark and the Swiss play their game in hand tomorrow. If both win then the Danes and Swiss would be the top two teams in the group. Republic of Ireland would replace Northern Ireland as the fourth best team in League 2 while Iceland would be the only League A team , which would tell me that they would qualify by default because every other League A team would have qualified for the Euros.
League C : 1) Scotland
2) Norway
3) Serbia
4) )Bulgaria
Serbia is third in their group a point behind Portugal. Portugal have two really easy matches remaining and should finish second, but if overtaken by Serbia then Bulgaria moves up to third and Israel would be the 4th seeded team. Portugal could face Iceland in a playoff final, but that's unlikely , which means it's unlikely Israel would be in the playoffs.
League D: 1)Georgia
2) North Macedonia
3) Kosovo
4) Belarus
Should Kosovo finish second ahead of the Czechs in qualifying then Belarus moves up to third and Luxembourg would move up to fourth. That would affect League because the Czechs would become the third seeded playoff team and Slovakia would be fourth. In this scenario neither of the Irelands would be in the playoffs. Sounds like both Irelands will want the Czechs to finish second in their group.

It finished 0-0 , so both Turkey and France are through while Iceland will need to qualify via the playoffs.France hosts Moldova in about 45 minutes and will surely overtake Turkey in the top spot.

It was match of few chances. Turkey came closest to scoring when two separate miss hit crosses came off the top of the bar. One was from the right and one from the left. Iceland came closest to scoring when a header from a corner was headed off the line from Demiral, which was pain relief for what would have been a home loss
Some Turkish stupidity at the end. A substitution was made fifteen seconds from the end and a player took his shin pads off on the field instead of coming off and picked up a cheap booking from Anthony Taylor. Off the resulting one of the Turkish assistants grabbed and Icelandic player's arm so he couldn't take the throw. Anthony Taylor gave the assistant a red card.
