At Home with the Footer
Morning, chaps! We've got our weekend routines back, yes. But it's odd because for the first time all of us are in the same boat, watching from home, instead of our watching our English cousins at the stadiums. Ah well, it is what it is for the time being. I'm not going to question it. We've got chock a block footer today.
It is, however, Kate and my fifth anniversary. Five years ago today we were all together in Richmond. So I'll be on husband duty a bit today, as well.
Let's enjoy some footer, eh?

First up for me - the crucial Championship clash between Fulham and Brentford from Craven Cottage. Of course I'll be hoping the Bees can nick some points off the Cottagers so that my Leeds boys can get just that little bit closer to promotion.
The line-ups for this morning's match:
Fulham: Rodak, Hector, Odoi, Kebano, Mitrovic, Cairney, Ream, Cordova-Reid, Reed, Bryan, Knockaert
Subs: Bettinelli, Le Marchand, Christie, Sessegnon, McDonald, Johansen, Arter, Jasper, Cavaleiro
Brentford: Raya, Henry, Pinnock, Norgaard, Jensen, Benrahma, Watkins, DaSilva, Jansson, Dalsgaard, Fosu
Subs: Daniels, Thompson, Mokotjo, Valencia, Marcondes, Dervisoglu, Jeanvier, Baptiste, Roerslev
Nice round of applause now for the NHS before we get to kick-off.
Players kneeling now but their names are on their shirts. That seems like the right balance to me.
Away we go then - the Championship is back!
Good Morning, Bob. Here to join you for the promotion six pointer West London Derby and the Hornets vs the Foxes
ESPN is also doing the fake fan noise, which I'm somehow getting used to at this point.
Happy Fifth Anniversary to you and Kate, and many more
They're off from the Anniversary coup[le's house
Over on NBC Sports, Watford and Leicester have also kicked off. Watford will be desperate to get points to stay clear of the relegation zone, whilst Leicester will be wanting to cement their CL slot.
Tim Ream starting for the Cottagers. Bob will be hoping emulates Bob. Sideshow that is
Here are the stakes in this match. Fulham in third come into this match with 64 points, while Brentford in fourth have 60 points.
So that means that, if Fulham win all nine matches including that clash at Elland Road next Saturday, they can potentially end up with 91 points. My beloved Leeds are on 71 points, so we only need 21 points (7 wins) to secure enough points to edge Fulham out.
Morning, MUR - sorry, I didn't see you come on. I was just nattering away to myself. How are you?
Scotty is dressed sharply today. He's come a long way since his Star Trek days
Doing well thank you for asking. How is the anniversary couple.
It looks like Mitrovic hasn't been to a barber since March - well done, mate.
Well, I'm up for the footer while Kate is still in bed, so it's an ordinary Saturday right now. But I have a special breakfast planned for a bit later.
You will be interested too note that the Baggies host the Bees on friday. That will be a big one as well.
That sounds like great anniversary plans
Mitrovic with a header saved comfortably by David Reya
So far, so good after ten minutes. I'll take a draw in this one, of sure.
I haven't been to the barber because I don't feel safe going. They are doing like they do at the doctor's offices, but I still am not risking it
How about the Friday match? Baggies vs Bees. Are you rooting for the Baggies?
Vardy with a shot from 25 yards out well wide. He's a bit rusty
I missed his earlier shot , but it crashed off the post
Oh - Knockaert hits the frame of the goal! Phew!
No - I'll be a Bees fan again. I reckon that they don't have a realistic chance of catching us, so any points taken away from the Baggies is good for us.
Foxes with a cross blocked for a corner
some big matches in what is now the run in
Knockaert looks dangerous early on. He'd been Knockaert is off.
An early pun for you, mate. I'm a bit rusty.
You and Kate should be hon red to host the opening Championship match of Project restart
Nice one, Bob. You would have been Knockaert cold if that had gone in
I have a similar haircut to Bees manager, Thomas Franke
Time for drinkies at VR
Twenty minutes in and we're approaching the drinks break time. So far, so good - keep it up boys.
Play resumes at VR
Oh - a great cross there from the Brentford winger, just inches away from their striker.
No drinkies in the Championship?
Time to cool down at the Cottage as well now.
Bob and Kate a tad tardy with drinks for the players
Bob and Kate give the players permission to resume
Swansea have gone two goals up at Boro to enhance their bid to sneak into that last playoff spot.
If it were up to be, I'd be serving them a dose of NyQuil to slow them down a wee bit.
Oh - Rodak pushes away another attempt on goal from the Bees. They're knocking on the door!
Roadak turns around a Bees cross
I take a dose of that every night. it does work, mate
Half an hour gone and I couldn't be happier with the proceedings. Most of the action right now is in the Fulham box.
Tim Ream clears a cross from Daalsgaard for another Bees corner
Nice close range kick save by Kasper to prevent the Hornets taking the lead
The swans now three up at the Riverside
The Foxes win a corner
The Evil Lions vs the Rams kicked off a little over five minutes ago
Andre Yew with a penalty for the Swans and Rhian Brewster, on loan from Pool, with a brace
Olly Watkins heads just wide for the Bees
Tielemans boked for the Foxes as was Adam Messina for the Hornets. Both for late challenges
Nearly forty minutes now - so far, so good.
Josh Da Silva booked for the Bees for a late challenge on Bobby Reid
Nice free kick position now for the Bees. Comes to nothing, though.
Into stoppage time at VR

This half is winding down nicely.
Bob's old mate, Matt Smith, gives the Evil Lions the lead vs the Rams
Brentford have a late corner chance now.
It's 0-0 at the half at VR
Not much at stake in that one for us. Derby have no chance of the playoffs and Millwall have only an outside chance.
That's half-time at CC - 0-0 here as well. Lovely jubbly.
It's 0-0 at the Cottage. So far so so good for Bob
The Rams tie it up at the Evil Den
The second half is underway from VR
Teams coming back on at the Cottage now.
Craig Dawson fouls Tielelmans about 25 yards from goal
The 4th President into the wall. Sounds like 45
Saar through on goal for the Hornets and Kasper rushes out to gather
Fulham out of the traps very lively in this second half. Knock it off!
Into the second half at Bob and Kate's
Louie Sibley scored for the Rams. Both goals at the Evil Den scored by former Leeds players
Kasper forced to fist away a powerful shot driven right at him off a Hornets short free kick
Free kick driven straight into the wall. Lovely. Fifty minutes gone now.
Wahay! Shaggy Mitrovic thinks he's scored but it's been ruled offside. Lovely!
Bob will be relieved that Mitrovic had a goal disallowed for offside. Great finish, but well off
The Brentford manager is so anxious now he looks in pain.
Scooby will not be pleased that Shaggy's goal was disallowed
Promotion run ins can be really stressful
Has Elizabeth been cutting your hair or have you adopted a Mitrovic look, mate?
Soyuncu heads wide off a Foxes free kick
Half time between Millwall and Derby now. 1-1 there.
I look more like Mitrovic and similar to the Bees manager
Approaching the hour mark. Should be some subs coming up.
Long range effort from Dennis Odoi well wide. Deflected for a corner. Mitrovic heads straight to David Raya off the corner
Morning Boys
Happy Anniversary Bob and Kate!
Can't believe it has been five years!
Damari Gray about to come on for the Foxes
Premier League producing boring game again
Morning, Dave - how are you, mate?
Good morning, Dave. How is retirement?
Damaru Gray on for Albrighton
Bit of a bore here too at the Cottage. But I'm loving it. If this ends a draw, we'll only then need six wins and a draw to clinch promotion.
That's my assessment of the match at your house too
Oh - Raya with a great save from Mitrovic from close range!
Bob, do you want a draw at your place or a Brentford win
Just over by Damari Gray
Time for drinkies at VR
Brentford win and you need FIVE wins
Well, a Brentford win would be preferable because then we'd only need 18 points, but I'll take a draw. I'm not greedy.
Don't Brentford wear red and white stripes.... that wouldn't clash
Play resumes at VR
No - six wins by my calculations. They could still end up with 88 points and we're on 71 right now.
That was a great save by Raya
But one of wins would be against Fulham
Drinks break at the Cottage now - I'm enjoying a cup of Lady Grey. Lovely.
Sure, if we were to beat Fulham, that would reduce the number needed.
WHEN not if
I'm not assuming anything. Every point will be a fight.
Great save by Ben Foster from the Fourth President . Turned around his shot
Nice save by Foster
Kate's up so I need to take a break and fix the special anniversary brekkies.
A defensive move form the Brodge as Choudry is on for Tielemans
Good on ya
Double switch by Nigel Pearson
Well done, Bob. Enjoy
The Bees David has had a better match in goal tan United's did yesterday
Albrighton with a cross deflected for a corner
Josh Da Silva with a curling effort high and wide for the Bees
Ihenacho on for Albrighton
Really really really hope Fulham don't score!
Me too - only ten minutes left. Hang in there, Brentford!
Harry Artet came on for Harrison Reed
Me three as a tame header from Mitrovic is easily gathered by David Raya
Johnny Hector fouls Olly Watkins for a Bees free kick
Free kick from Benherama not too far wide
What a corker by Chillwell!!
Great goal!

GREAT VOLLEY AS THE FIOXES FAILED TO CLEAR THE CORBNER
Just saw the far post tap in by Benhrama off the cross from Marcondes

Just saw the goal by Marcondes as it finished 1-1 at VR

Off for walkies
That couldn't have gone better for us. Wahay!
I'm off to the shower, lads. I'll catch up with you later.
Back from walks and feeding the pets on a hot humid morning
Rams take a 1-3 lead at the Evil Den. All scorers former Leeds players. Louie Sibley with a hat-trick for the Rams and Matt Smith ages ago for the Evil Lions
I second that.
COME ON BRUM! looking for them to win a local derby at the Hawthorns
Jon Bodvardsson scores for the Evil Lions. Now 2-3 vs the Rams
A Moment's silence at the AMEX as it's the Seagulls vs the Gunners
The players take a knee as Martin Atkinson blows the whistle. They're underway from the AMEX
It finishes Evil Lions 2 Rams 3
The Seagulls win a corner
The corner is cleared and a Gunners player is down. It looked like Socrates, but he's up and ready to go
AUbama with a long range effort high and wide
Struggling Barnsley takes the lead at Loftus Road as does the Reading Railroad vs the Potters
The Gunners win the ball in the Seagulls half and I missed the close range effort that was blocked, but read about it in La Cazette.

Gwen Doozy heads out for a Seagulls corner
The Gunners attack off the Seagulls short corner
Pepe wins a Gunners corner
I am back from a long walk in lovely weather
Did I miss anything? Of course I didn't in the boring Prem!
Welcome back, Dave.No you did not and only two goals in the 10 AM Championship fixtures
I just popped into the Hawthorns for a visit... no goals of course!
What's wrong with scoring in the first five, ten, fifteen, twenty minutes
I checked Gold for Soccer Saturday and it's not on, but there is a highlight show on at 7.
The Reading Railroad and Barnsley , but nobody else. Rustiness from the long break?
Sadly, with WBA kicking off... Leeds have dropped in the table!
We need a Blue Nose win
Charlton take lead at Hull
Charlton takes the lead at the Tigers
We are cheering for the Blue Noses in the local derby at the Hawthorns.
COME ON YOU BLUES
Time for drinkies in the matches across the country and looks like a warm afternoon
Play resumes
Brum have a chance to shoot but fail to do so.... but "a good move"
The Hammers vs Wolves kicks off on the local NBC at 12:30 PM while the Cherries vs Palace kicks off at 2:45 PM on Gold and Peacock
Three away wins in the Championship so far today and only one home team in the lead in the 10 AM kickoffs.
Drinks break at the Hawthorns.....it shouldn't be a coaching break too
The Seagulls win a free kick as Bellerin stepped on Aaron Mooy's foot.
Bloody useless free kick
The Baggies beat United at Old Trafford in a warm up game... Pogba and Bruno started
United did win a second game
Wigan take the lead at Hudders
Finished the dishes now and settling in for a bit while Kate chats wth her mum on the phone.
Dan Burn booked for a late agricultural tackle on Pepe.
I'd love another away win in the Brummie Derby. Come on, you Blue Noses!
Nice save by Brighton's keeper from the Gazette
Still only one home team leading in the Championship. Home field advantage goes out the window at this time.
Did they just say over 200 minutes of league football without scoring?
That must be either the Gunners or Seagulls . Could be both. I'm guessing the Seagulls
Bristol City takes the lead at Ewood Park. That's not idle gossip.
FotMob...
Baggies scores
Drew 0-0 at Swansea on March 7th
Lost 0-1 to Wigan on Feb 29
Won 2-0 at home to Preston on Feb 24th
I guess that is 200+ minutes....long may it continue
Another away team scores... Bristol City at Ewood Park
Jay Leno down as he takes an awkward tumble. This doesn't look good.
Agreed with you regarding the Baggies
