Another Sunday Big 'Un
Happy Sunday morning, everyone! I'm settling in to watch some of the good stuff. We start with the undercard match of Palace v. Leicester, where I'll take a Foxes win thank you very much. That leads us to the marquee match of the weekend - Liverpool v. City. Both sides are in good form and pressing for a title bid, so it should be a real cracker. Join me to see if it is, won't you?

I'm back with the official Sunday brekkies of the LOB - cup of tea, bagel and fruit.
In one of the other matches going on this morning, Brentford have taken the lead away to West Ham at the London Stadium at Bryan Mbeumo. Are they the Leeds of this season?
GOAL! Somewhat against the run of play, Leicester break and Ienacho nips in to slide home an opener for the Foxes.
0-1!
That scoreline works for me perfectly, as Leicester are a top half side on my rubric and Palace are a bottom half side.
GOAL! Jamie Vardy makes it #2!
In the other match, Spurs have taken the lead over Villa through Pierre Hojberg.
That's half time at Selhurst - Leicester dance in 0-2 up on Palace. Lovely!
Morning Bob...all change at Selhurst!
Place came back and it finished Desmond
At Spurs, Villa tied it up but Spurs won it 2-1
At the London Stadium, the Hammers tied it up but the Bees scored the winner with the last kick of the game!!
They are doing really well
You said the late one could be a cracker...of course...Citeh could bore us to tears!!
As you know, I hate both of these teams. Surprisingly, I hate Liverpool less! I like the way they play.... I HATE the was BLOODY PEP plays!
Everyone else loves it...not me
Morning, Dave - great to have you on board for the Big 'Un. I'm just back from the shower and not at all happy with those results. Happy that Spurs hung on for a 2-1 win over Villa, but Palace leveling it up with Leicester and, particularly, Brentford nicking it against the Hammers doesn't work with my rubric at all.
I'm a hopeful person, mate, so I'm always hoping for a good match. Both sides are capable of going at each other.
So how is Tom doing at this point - is the abscess issue all sorted out?
He's doing better thanks
He actually went down to Charlotte this weekend for two night concert at the racetrack.
Coming home tonight
It is such a relief that he has a full time teaching job! Almost doubled his salary inside 24hrs

Teams coming out
That sounds like a fun time - who was playing at the concert? Not Johnny Hates Jazz and Level 42 unfortunately.
Shame with the Trio Plonkers in the booth
NBC off to commercial....sound more than picture relates the atmosphere
Lovely tribute to Sir Roger Hunt, an Anfield legend if there ever was one. They've lost both Ian St. John and Roger Hunt is close proximity, just as Leeds have lost a lot of Revie-era legends this past year.
It was a few artist with electro house stuff
We are off
I hate all this false nine crap
And we're away at Anfield - hoping for some fireworks.
I hate how these guys go gaga over a simple thing a City player does!
My point made...Cancello gets back FANTASTICALLY....HE GO GOAL SIDE
Oh - great move there straight down the middle but Jota couldn't quite find Mane running through. That's the sort of thing we were doing all match yesterday, just the final ball a bit lacking.
How can Stone not play a single second for City but is a starter for England
More good pressure from Liverpool. Our only hope for a good match is if the Reds can take it to Citeh.
From Rob Smyth on the Guardian:
"City’s passing so far has been methodical and a bit on the safe side."
Ya think?!
Pep is an idiot - I'd have him in the side every week. I don't rate Laporte at all.
Mike said they had a great show last night. The audience in Liverpool were great.
They are in Cheltenham tonight
Not really much of a college town, is it?
What about Watford....lose at Leeds....fire their manager after only 10 months....HE PROMOTED THEM!
Boston?
Of course, their audience isn't college kids....kids from the 80s were fans of L42 and JHJ
Nice - I can always count on you to get a Spinal Tap reference, mate.
I said to Mike that their schedule makes no sense.
They are north, south, east and west in no particular order!
He said the order changed because of COVID and when things were available
Another simple pass forward that gives Arlo kittens
Have you ever seen the Hugh Grant-Drew Barrymore rom com "Music and Lyrics?" It's a lot of fun.
I suppose that England is a small enough country that it doesn't matter as much as it would here, if they had to go from Albuquerque to Boise to Tampa and so on.
How do they travel - Leer jet? ;-)
Okay, mate - you were right. This one is dull.
Oh - nice 360 turn by Bernie Silva and then slid in Foden. Alisson smothered the shot.
JHJ are Cheltenham tonight
Southend, Margate, Reading, Bournemouth, Southampton, Nottingham, Birmingham, Stoke, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Newcastle, Hull, Cambridge, York, Manchester, Cardiff, London, Bath, Ipswich, Sheffield and Blackpool
I really can't stand how these guys are talking about City...everything they do is remarkable, fantastic or extraordinary
Most if it is NORMAL
They are traveling in a luxury van
Wow - that is bouncing around a bit. Does Mike like the touring life or is it a grind?
Of course, I'll never tour but some of my better-known colleagues have been on book tours - and hated it. I think I'd love the experience. What's not to love about traveling about and doing readings for people who are interested in your work?
He just sent a vid of L42 sound check
That sounds nice. I think I'd really enjoy it.
I don't think he minds it
Everyone hates the long ball.....EXCEPT....when Ederson hits it 80 yards for a goal
That's brilliant - I can never understand the pop stars who have a moan about their lives. Just go out and enjoy it!
Just realized Liverpool attacking the Kop in the first half....City must have won the toss
Diaz....so overrated too
Foden slides the ball through to KDB but the Belgian doesn't make the run. He turns to the bench to complain about it. Citeh are really missing a focal point to their attack. Imagine Erling Haaland bombing onto that pass.
Im not fascinated at all
SHUT IT!!
So many of the Citeh players are overrated. Fernandinho, Dias, even Ederson.
It's easy keeping clean sheets for Citeh; could he do it for Newcastle?
What a ridiculous back pass there!!!
Of course, they giggle and say genius
City want a pen
Grealish with a chance...out for a throw in?
Never a pen
Oh - that might have been a shout for a pen. Foden nudged slightly by Milner. I thought a foul outside the box.
Bloody Pep whining
Shut it about Haaland coming to Citeh? Well, if Citeh don't win the league, you know they'll be in the market for a hot striker next summer. It's inevitable.
Oh - big chance for KDB there from Foden's cross. Again - a proper striker would have nodded that home easily.
Awful header by KDB....of course...it was a good effort
Citeh just seem to be turning the screw in the past ten minutes.
The are saying that Ederson has had nothing to do....has Allison?
Another word...breathtaking!
Driving me nuts
Yesterday, Barca lost at AM 2-0. One of the goals scored by Suarez...his celebration was talking on a phone...aimed at RK for telling him he was no longer wanted at Barca on a phone call
Real Madrid just lost at Espanyol
PSG lost at Rennes today too
A weekend of Real, Barca and PSG all losing
Again, apparently it is beautiful by Citeh....still SCORELESS
Liverpool fans beginning to groan as Liverpool can't get out of their own half.
another word
incredible
fabulous
Well, Alisson did make that big save on Foden when he was straight through on goal.
Did anyone pick Watford's Munoz for the sack race
Lasted 10 months and got them promoted. Not in the bottom three....don't get it
Foden keeps looking at the bench after he makes a pass
excellent ball....it went straight out of play
Nice stop by Allison
See....Ederson pass.....IT WAS LONG BALL!!!
Le Sox wants to have Ederson's baby.
I've noticed that, too - is his mum on the bench?
Half time
I knew it would be like this
BORING
The half-time whistle goes and Klopp sprints off to the dressing room. He's got some work to do.
Off we go for the second half
Come on Liverpool....shut these three up
"Dominated" and lost 2-0 in Paris
What's the whole point of the match? SCORE
Kate says "hello," by the way. We're having lunch and then making some pear bread, so I'll be in and out of this second half.
Nice hit by Jota saved.
Say hello back please. So hope we can visit each other soon
I might be leaving before the end too
Cancello gets credit for a tackle but it was a bad touch by Salah
GOAL..... Mane gives Liverpool the lead!
Nice pass by Salah
Free kick chance for the hosts
No 3FirstNames to take
Salah, Hendo and Milner over it...surely Salah....It is...low and wide
Thanks, mate - I hope so, too. All the best to Kathy as well.
I'm really happy to see that Mane goal go in. It makes the last half hour a real contest.
Sterling gets a rough reception as he comes on, with "There's only one cheating bastard."
Firmino coming on for Jota
I am pleased with the score so far....even tho it extends Liverpool lead over United
1-1
Foden with the equalizer.....Arlo having kittens of course!
Tidy finish there from Phil Foden. This one smells like a draw now.
So Pep considers this fixture "the toughest one." So what's the match at OT? A tea party?
Pep having kittens.
Wants a second yellow for Milner
Could have been
Pep gets a card?
Oh - what a strike from Mo!!!
Salah with a lovely finish
2-1
Pep will whine
Arlo needs to hammer the "fantastic" Citeh defenders
Into the last ten minutes in this one
KDB.... Desmond
WOW! KDB levels it again!
There will be a couple of checks on it - it's given despite the possible Foden offside and the Sterling issue on the goalline.
Seeing the Bills game.... rotten weather your end of the State!
We have rain too
Walker....does his best Bruno Pen impersonation
Ederson flaps.....empty net.... blocked on the line
Oh - great block by Rodri on Fabinho as the goal was gaping!
No comment on the awful goalkeeping....numpties
I like how both sides are still going for it.
90 seconds to go
Probably the last chance of the match now for Citeh.
Useless modern day corner....stunning how bad they can be
This is definitely the best result for you lot.
That is it
Ends 2-2 and no ground gained against my lot
Take care Bob
Have a good week
TTFN
So it ends with Chelsea top, Liverpool next, Citeh third and United fourth now.
Cheerio, mate!
