Saturday Morning is Alright for Football
Morning boys! It's time for our Saturday morning ritual - watching the good stuff. We start with a bit of rubbish. To be honest Wolves v. Brentford should probably be on the Cock, but someone at NBC - doubtless a Brentford fan - has put it on the channel. That's followed by the usual 10am kickoffs, including Burnley v. Arsenal. We finally wrap up with Villa v. Everton on NBC. Join me for all the fun and games, won't you?

Substitutes: Ruddy, Hoever, Ait-Nouri, Mosquera, Boly, Podence, Dendoncker, Silva, Hwang.

Substitutes: Fernandez, Thompson, Zanka, Roerslev, Onyeka, Jensen, Wissa, Forss, Ghoddos.
Referee Darren England.
According to my rubric, these two teams are destined to be bottom half sides. You know what that means. I'll take a 0-0 draw, please.
And we're underway at Molineux....
Some early skirmishes in the Wolves goal area but Jose Sa mopped them up.
Toney finishes with aplomb but he's flagged offside. This kid is a threat, no doubt.
Good morning, Bob. Just woke up and am here to join you for the Wolves vs the Bees
Adama Traore wins a corner off of Ajar
Corner from Moutinho headed out by the first man
Morning, David - thanks for joining me. How are things your way?
Glad to join you. Still dark outside, buttoner wise doing well. How are you?
I'm relishing that neither of sides has their shooting boots on today. Long may it last.
Good but busy this weekend. The grading has piled up so I may have to skip a few matches in favor of that.
That makes sense . I'm sure you will catch up. I wonder if Steve will be around for Burnley vs the Gunners on NBCSN. Citeh vs Saints on USA at the same time. The late one is the Villains vs the Toffees
Half way through the first half and no goals. Just as the doctor ordered.
Bugger! Brentford have been awarded a penalty!
Neves heads out a near post Bees corner for another. On the next one :
PENALTY BEES AS MARSICAL IS CALLED FOR A RUGBY HOLD ON IVAN TONEY. AFTER LOOKING AT THE REPLAY IT LOOKS A STONEWALL PENALTY
I hope so, too, because we're here for support, but it's a difficult time for the Gunners, so I somehow doubt it.
Ivan Toney to take as the Wolves is Sa that the ref got it wrong. I'm Sa he got it right
GOAL !!!! IVAN TONEY SCORES WITH WELL PLACED PENALTY AS HE SA DID SEND THE KEEPER THE WRONG WAY
Toney makes no mistake, beating Sa down to his right. And the Bees are 0-1 up.
GOAL !!!! It's disallowed as Ivan Toney thought he had a second goal in as many minutes
Toney's got it in the net again! VAR check on it for offside, though.
VAR checking for what I thought was offside, but for hand ball and it's disallowed for that reason. Wolves can be relieved as they were torn apart by some nice one touch passing in a move involving Bryan Mbuemo, Janelt and Sergio Canos
Oh - Traore fires one onto the Brentford bar!
OH! Long range shot from Adamants Traore deflects off a defender and off the bar wrong footing David Raya
Wolves does seem to be a more attacking team under the new manager, but the final ball is off and they have been caught on the counter a few times
I need a Wolves goal back before half-time.
GOAL !!!! BRYAN MBUEMBO PUTS THE BEES TWO UP WITH A FAR POST TAP IN
Bloody hell - the Wolves defense are all over the place - and Toney sets up the second goal.
Bruno Lage is beside himself!
The goal basically came as I was describing the match. A Wolves attack broke down then a long diagonal down the left found Ivan Toney and he skipped past Max Kilman then his pass was tapped in at the far post by Bryan Mbeumbo
The latest news from Molineaux is that the Wolves keeper Sa is upset at his defense and the Wolves manager is going to need a few Lage's after those defensive miscues
Bees now ninth, behind the Hammers on goal difference. Wolves 14th ahead of the Hornets and the Dahlgren teams on goal difference
Another Bees counter and the pace of Ivan Toney causing problems but his through ball just too long
I'm not surprised that Sa is livid with his defense. Isn't Conor Coady supposed to be an England international?
Bob will not be pleased to read that the Evil Blades are one up at the Tigers. Evil Blades now 13th while the Tigers are now third from bottom behind promotion partners, the Tangerines, on goals scored. To add insult too i jury. Billy Sharp scored the goal
Connor Coady is an England international, but sure if he made the squad for the Euros
Pontus rushes toward the linesman for a minor shirt grab by Jimenez. A trio of stoppage time minutes
I'm not at all please to hear that. Blech!
The half is winding down with Brentford in complete control.
The Bees two up at the half. The score flatters them a little, but out was poor Wolves defending that resulted in the goals
I expect Arsenal to do a job at Burnley today, so we'll likely drop to 17th and Wolves will drop to 15th.
Some beter nes for Bob is that the Evil Blades would have gone two up, but Billy Sharp missed a penalty
I agree, Bob. That's an accurate description of the match at Turf Moor
The second half is underway from Molineaux.
Second half starting up - I'm going to help Kate with a bit of brekkies prep.
The Bees nearly one t three up as Ruben Neves was caught faffing about at the back and Bryan Mbeumbo shot wide as Sa had just the keeper to beat
Wasted Bees free kick straight to David Ray and a Bees defender is down. I think it's Ajer , who is ajar. It is and he hobbles off, but looks set to continue
Have fun, Bob. What's on the menu this morning?
Rico Henry booked for the Bees a few minutes ago for a stinging challenge
Wolves fans rightly upset at the time wasting by Bees keeper, David Raya, for going to the sideline to change gloves. Should have been done at the half
Bob will not be pleased that the Evil Blades have gone two up at the Tigers. John Eagan headed in a corner from Connor Hourihane
That goal moves the Evil Blades up to 11th, ahead of the Teesiders and Bristol City on goals scored. Bob wishes that was idle gossip
Ruben Neves booked for a foul from behind on Baptiste off a pass from Bryan Mbuembo
Naughty by Baptiste on Mariscal, but just a lecture.
No it's a booking and should be if the ref wants to be consistent
Shannon Baptiste sent off for a second booking minutes after the first one as he was about to be subbed. What was he thinking. Caught in possession ion midfield then immediately fouled from behind
I'm back with some coffee cake and some fruit for brekkies, just in time to see Baptiste walking off for an early bath.
Brentford down to ten men but I can't see Wolves getting two back. They really haven't created much.
Pontus down for the Bees as he slid too clear. Wolves players and g=fans think it's time wasting which appears top be the case. Connor Coady with words for the ref regarding that
Canos is sacrificed for a defender to see this one out for Thomas Frank.
A Bees change occurs as Frank Onyenka on for Sergio Canos
That sending off of Baptiste sure seems like a Baptism
A John Eagan double puts the Evil Blades three up at the Tigers. Sorry, Bob
Both Eagan goals headers off cross from Connor Hourihane off of corners
Pontus being naughty as usual.
That's alright - as long as the Blades are mid-table, I'm happy.
An attacking Wolves change as left back, Marcal , replaced by attacking midfielder, Danny Podence
Will you and Kate be busy getting the house ready for the visit of Leeds. Training behind the apple trees?
Nice one Wolves one touch passing and a last ditch clearance by Pontus for a Wolves corner taken short then a the offside flag raised off the return pass
Pontus booked, which is all too familiar to Bob then Rico Henry replaced by Roerslev
Clash of heads between Coady and Mbuemo.
A lengthy stoppage as a player from both sides was down.. One is up, but it's hard to tell which one
I'm off to the shower ahead of the Arsenal match.
Coady up and the physio checking for possible concussion
Cheers, mate. Look forward to chatting with you then
Not a single shot on target by either team this half after an entertaining first half
Nice break lead by Adama Traore, but the cross was too high for anyone
The Tigers pull one back vs the Evil Blades, but trail 1-3
Bees manager, Thomas Franke, talks himself into the book
A Scandanaian swap as Zanka on for Pontus on the final roll of the dice by Thomas Frank
The final roll of the dice by Bruno Lager, an attacking one as striker, Fabio Silva , on for right back and compatriot, Seemed
Danny Podence fouled by Ajer just outside the Bees box
Trincao won't drink to that as he curls the free kick well over
REaul Jimenez should have pulled one back for Wolves. Nice trickery by Adamants Traore to get past Roerslev, then David Raya misjudged a cross and Jimenez headed wide of an open goal.
Wolves staff none too pleased by the Bees time wasting. The player down actually stepped on the foot of a Wolves player
Despite the man advantage , I haven't noticed a see that David Raya has been forced to make
Roerslev heads out for a Wolves corner
Corner taken short by Danny Podence then he gets the ball back, cuts inside and not to far over with a shot as we enter half a dozen minutes of stoppage time
Nice trickery by Ivan Toney to get past two Wolves players then passes to Janelt ,who drags a shot wide
Bryan Mbuembo could have put the Bees three up. A combination of Sa and the post kept his curling shot out
Long range shot from Ruben Neves high and wide by a few feet
Fabio Silva wins a Wolves corner
Poor corner from Moutinho cleared by the first man
Connor Coady booked for a foul on Ivan Toney on the Bees break, due to frustration
It's over and the Bees win 0-2 despite being down a man a quarter of the match. The Bess in nosebleed territory as they are ninth
It's over at the KC as the Evil Blades have won 1-3 at the Tigers
I'm back from my shower to enjoy the Arsenal match. As you mention, ten-men Brentford have closed out a 0-2 win over the disappointing Wolves side. They're on four losses and a win against Watford.
Team news out of Turf Moor:

At the Etihad, The Manchester City fans are singing “We’re not really here” to make a point to their manager. LOL!
Pool vs Palace and as match between two struggling partners in promotion, Canaries vs Hornets, both on the Cock
That's hilarious. Not sure why Pep would want to take on the supporters. He needs them on his side
Posh take the lead vs Brum, and move out of the drop zone, ahead of their partners in promotion, the Tigers and Tangerines
In L2, Scunny takes the lead at Carlisle to move out of the drop zone to 19th place while table topping Forest Green takes the lead at Steveange
Wigan takes the lead at Accrington Stanley. Wigan second behind the Black Cats on goals scored
As usual, Burnley are hanging back, even at home, making sure that they're well-organized first and foremost. Really boring.
The Teesiders take the lead vs the Tangerines
I believe that the Citeh fans are referencing Pep's comment in the week complaining about the poor attendance at the Etihad for home matches.
Coventry takes the lead at the Evil Lions, to move top to fifth place.Luton takes the lead vs the Swans, who are now a point above the drop zone
I agree. I never have enjoyed watching Burnley
I had read about that comment from Pep. That's really poor towards the fans who have been loyal to the team
Saido Berahino, who I thought retired has given Not a Big Club the led vs the Shrews. Not a big Club now sixth in L1
Bayern a Barber Shop Quartet up vs Bochum shortly before halftime. Bayern top ahead of the VWs match tomorrow vs Frankfurt
Two National League matches postponed due to COVISD in the Altrincham and Woking squads
No goals yet from the 10am kickoffs. I'm looking for wins for Arsenal, Liverpool and Citeh. A draw would suit me in the Norwich v. Watford match.
Pass from Sterling to Gundoigan just too long as McCarthy rushes out to gather

Forest still bottom, but only two points from safety
Steven Reid the new Forest boss as Chris Hughton must have walked the plank
Luton three ups the Swans
PNE takes the lad vs the Baggies, who drop down two fourth place..Cottagers top, but only ahead of the Cherries and Coventry on goal difference
Wahay! Great free kick by Odegaard - that's why they bought him!

GOAL !!! Odor Guard bends it like Beckham to give the Gunners the lead with a free kick from 25 yards out. Congrats, Steve
Rams take the lead vs the Potters
Gunners up to 13th while Burnley remains second from bottom on a solitary point. Lovely!

Wycombe take the lead vs Charlton. Wycombe fourth and Charlton second from bottom of L1
Burnley clap their players off at half-time - they have low expectations.
Gunners one up at the half at Turf Moor. And Cithe surpassingly being held 0-0 at the half by Saints
Into the second half

Penalty rescinded and Kyle Walker should feel mighty relieved
Reading two up and Bob and Kate's . The hospital must be spectacular
The Hornets Sarr do take a 1-2 lead at CR and most feel like royalty off the assist from Josh King
Hornets up to 11th
Table topping Forest Green three up at Stevenage
Bollocks - Anthony Taylor has given Burnley a penalty!
VAR has overturned the decision - Sean Dyche is livid!
BUGGER! PENALTY BURNLEY AS RAMSDALE TRIPS VYDRA OFF A POOR BACK PASS. VAR CHECKING, BUT IT SURE LOOKED A STONEWALL PENALTY. NOT SURE WHY ANTHONY TAYLOR EEDS TO GO TO THE MONITOR
WOW ! It's overturned. I know I'm watching from a distance, but I thought Ramsdale tripped Vydra. Steve will be delighted

Cambridge two up at Fratton Park
Shot from Dwight McNeil into the side netting
Mo Slaah puts Pool two up vs Palace
Table topping Black Cats two uo at Fleetwood Mac
As it stands, the three bottom clubs - Newcastle, Burnley and Norwich - are still in the bottom three. Add to that the loss for Wolves today, and it's been a quite good weekend.
I just need a goal from Citeh right about now.
Pompey scores at Fratton Park and now trails Cambridge 1-2
Not a bad group of results at all this weekend so far
A goal scoring double Sarr does give the Hornets a 1-3 lead at CR

Great take by Ramsdale - he's been brilliant today.
