At the same time, there are several matches that have implications for the relegation battle, including Chelsea's home match with Newcastle, Everton's home match with Wolves, and Southampton's home match with Watford. The big talking point at Stamford Bridge is a Kai Havertz aerial challenge on Burn, which involved significant elbow-on-chin contact. The assumption is that what saved Havertz is the fact he didn’t look over his shoulder before leaping, so may not have known that Burn was coming, which makes it hard to conclude he definitely deliberately assault him.
As it stands, we're now three points ahead of Everton and four ahead of Watford in that final relegation spot.
