Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Half time: Well, this is rather good so far. Of course we've got Shaka Hislop to thank for keeping this 0-0. I'm sure that Johnno will be claiming another tally for the West Ham academy on that one. The Swedes came out bombing and looked like they had goals in them.
Again the pace slowed at the twenty minute mark - is it really that hot in Germany this time of year? And T&T actually could have gotten a goal. If they pull off a draw, does that mean they have confidence going into the next game with England?
As for the coverage, the less said the better. JP and Harkesey are better than the gringos, but they're doing the half-time show from Belmont Springs racetrack. I ask you!
What do the rest of you think?
Full Time: 0-0. Fantastic result for the Soca Warriors - you have to love that.
However, at the risk of being a party pooper, let me explain why this may not be the best result for England.
1) It certainly gives T&T some added confidence going into the game later this week with the "Mother Country." Do we really want them to expect to nick a point off us? The loss of Avery John from suspension may help, but they'll be pumped up.
2) The throws the group wide open. It means that Sweden will go into the game with us looking for points. It also means that T&T can lose the next one narrowly and still have a shot at squeaking through with a convincing victory against Paraguay.
Four matches in and Gatorbob is delirious.
Not anyone on this list is unfamiliar with T&T because the US play them so regularly. We know they are playing well above their level to nick a draw off Sweden and it's going to come crashing down upon their steel-band-dazzled ears at 5pm against England.
I don't know about you, but I never expected to play Sweden without needing to beat them. I think that the Paraguay game was the banana peel for England and we almost slipped on it. But T&T are going down like an elevator with a snapped cable. Listen up Port of Spain...dance about tonight to that soca because this is as good as it gets for you mugs.
I certainly hope you're right, Gooner.
