Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

You are quick off the draw, Davey-lad and beat me to the post.

The obvious clash of the titans is in Group A between holders Barca and Chelski, although I don't really see a Group of Death. The top two sides should go through in most if not all of the groups and perhaps even in that order. The weakest group, though, is the one lead by those lucky bastards Milan who UEFA even had the cheek to seed and thus they drew Lille, AEK and Anderlecht. There is no justice in footie.

Agreed, only Chelsea have to sweat any of their group. And as Prem Champions and CL pretenders, they should have a rough go. It's no good beating Steaua, AEK, and FC Copehagen in the first round and then hitting Madrid, Inter, and Lyon in the knockout stages when the Premiership has 3 months to go. Watch Maureen moan about it though.

Arsenal and Man U's worst case scenario is that they get undone by the hair pulling, diving Portuguese numpties, Porto and Benfica, and if we both have to play our away Russian legs in November or later.

UEFA are shameless that in the way they've caved over Milan. It's outrageous.

Davey, bleedin' DC United shamed Celtic off the pitch 4-0 this year, so I'm expecting double digits from you lot.

One thing I just don't get about the Champions' League set up is the seeding. How is that only two actual CHAMPIONS were seeded - and one is Inter, who had to be awarded the Scudetto after Juve had been stripped for their malfeasance? Makes no sense at all, but I would imagine that Gooner and United will defend it. Right lads?
