Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Chelsea vs. Barca Highlights

We don't need no stinking ESPN2! We have the LOB! Here are the goals from yesterday's match along with some lightening paced Spanish commentary for those of you wanting to test your linguistic skills. Shame that they don't include some of the argybargy too because apparently UEFA are investigating the behavior of both sides since there were 10 yellows handed out (Chelsea received six of them and will get an automatic fine for that) and John Terry has come out arguing that Barca were looking to get Chelski players booked. Erm, how about Drogba, John? Enjoy!

Where is everyone?
I am home listening to my lot on the computer and watching Steve's lot on the TV. Both goaless at half. United are being ho-hum. Arsenal have missed THREE SITTERS!!! First Fabergas with an open goal, Henry misses a one on one and finally Risicky missed an open goal from inside the six yard box.
Will it come back to hurt them

Sorry mate, I'm thoroughly overwhelmed with work today so I've been buzzing in and out. Enjoy the matches; I'm looking forward to watching it later.

0-0 Davey-boy. It does chafe a little bit that we were so profligate today. But what's the story with you lot losing to Copenhagen? Talk about pain!

John Terry and Cletus the Slack-Jawed Idiot: Separated at birth? What a tosser. The Fiver today pointed out that yes, Chelsea are close to being a great team with an irrefutably great manager, but until they conduct themselves with even a smidgen of class, these things will matter less and less. Well said.

After watching this, you do have to remark that it was one hell of a finish from Lampard. What an angle!

Yeah, I thought all of the goals were quality - the thump from Deco, the cheeky chip from Lamps, the move from Ronaldinho and the chest down from Drogba. Good stuff.
