Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Blogger Update

I've been looking at how to switch to the updated version of blogger and there's a hitch that I can't work out at the moment. Namely, we're too prolific. Blogs of a 100 or more posts aren't elligible yet for the transfer.

But eventually that transfer will be offered and we'll go ahead at that time.

The main reason to do it is more reliable team blogging so that all of us can participate and not get blocked out by blooger's spam or blog attack protection.

Stay tuned.

Thanks for the update, Gooner. It seems odd that we're penalized for being active, but c'est la vie. We'll get it sorted eventually. Dave hasn't been knocked off today despite the ManYoo karma.

I don't get it either. The RTC blog got moved over. Maybe it's because we waited too long? I dunno. It's a pain because I wanted to post your Abramovic link on the RTC and I'm blocked from doing it because we haven't moved the LOB blog.

The RTC blog reminds me of the "Two Gs" radio show, which the WSD lads are always have a go at by playing a snippet of Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence."

If you're referring to the lack of blogging action, I found out that my friend Simon, the lead man on the RTC, is in a protracted battle against the Immigration goons who've served him with a deportation notice. Never mind he's had all his papers in order, on his way to citizenship, and has a steady job at the World Bank where he's an indispensable cog in their IT department.

Hopefully he can get the situation sorted very quickly, but it's taken a toll.
