Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Chaos at Chelski

Reports out of the Chelski camp are really heartening these days. That is, Stamford Bridge seems to be all but falling down. Apparently Peter Kenyon has frozen the funds for Mourinho to use during this transfer window. The "Special One" would like to shop the hapless Sheva but has been blocked by our favorite frightening Russian oligarch. So the signs are that Mourinho will be out at the end of the season. So far the size of the squad and the play of Drogba and Essien in particular has sheltered the side from the effects of these backroom shenanigans but for how long? Your comments, gents?

I second that. I did want Roman to hang Jose out to dry on the transfer requests though. Looks like the Smugster is the only bloke who gets to tell Roman off and stay alive.

Still, what odds on Abramovich getting even in the end some way? A laundered illegal payment showing up in the Smugster's account, evidence of which just happens to show up when he steps in to take the Real/Barca/Portuguese National job which scuppers the deal for Jose?

Abramovic didn't get to be an oligarch by letting preeners like Jose one-up him.

Excellent stuff. Peter Kenyon came out today with a show of total support for Mourinho, stating that "there are no plans for a change of management at Stamford Bridge." That's Jose out the door then. Brilliant!
