Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Copa America Draw!

The draw for Copa America 2007 has been made and has thrown up some fascinating clashes. Here are the three groups in the first stage:

Group A:
Venezuela (The Hosts)
Uruguay
Bolivia
Peru

Group B:
Brazil
Ecuador
Chile
Mexico (Invited Guest)

Group C:
Argentina
USA (Invited Guest)
Paraguay
Colombia

Two teams from each group as well as the two best third place finishers make up the quarter final pool. All games will be played in Venezuela between June 26 and July 15, which will give us some footer to watch since it's not a WC or Euro summer.

I think you will when it spins around. Usually it's not broadcast because it's the South American equivalent of the Euros, but this time the U.S. has decided to accept the invitation (they usually decline in order to focus on the Gold Cup - Concacrap's version), so there should be coverage either on FSC or perhaps even ESPN. With nothing else but the MLS on, I have a feeling you'll be tuning in.
