A Fascinating Day On All Levels
A great day of football is in store.
We have the Champions League and the Coca Cola League all over the place today.
I will be watching the PSV/Arsenal match on ESPN2, listening to Lille/Man Utd on the computer and following the scores of all the rest of the scores from the Champions League and Coke. VERY IMPORTANT GAMES. None bigger than at Elland Road. Leeds United vs Queens Park Rangers. There is also Barnsley/Hull, Luton/Wednesdy, Southend/Palace.
Best of luck Bob.
Hope to have some company come 2:30

Absolutely right, Dave. It's a thrilling midweek day of fixtures. Of course I'll be in and out of it because of a busy schedule, but I have to keep my main focus on the Leeds boys - it's a must win against QPR today. Come on you Whites!
Another snow day for you today, Davey?

First goal goes to Coventry against Sotton
The Ian Dowie does his stuff
Heya Dave. Just checking in during a break in my class. Sounds like not much happening yet.

Strange choices for ESPN2 and the games.
PSV/Arsenal today

OOOH, Rosicky almost scores. The keeper gets a hand on it and it back spins like a Tiger shot into the green.

Van Nistelroy has scored for Real
From the Beeb
2022: That is two assists for David Beckham. Is that the Beckham for England bandwagon being packed up for an outing to the back pages.
Great turn and shot from Henry. If it wasn't straight to the keeper it would have been a goal
Half time at PSV goaless
Half time at Lille- goalless
Four goals in the first half in the CL. Sadly, they have all come in the game in Spain.
Leeds have dominated QPR in the first half 10 shots to 1
but it si still goalless
Heya - I'm back and ready for the action. we need a goal at the Elland!
Are you here for a while?
Off to put a tie on for tonight. Be back in a minute
Yeah, I'm with you for the duration, mate.
A tie, eh? What the occasion? Open house with the parents?
I wear a tie every day buddy. College and middle school
Gald to have some company.
I will now, of course, be bumped off soon
I have five windows open at once on my computer.
United's radio coverage, Skysports Live Score Centre, LOB, BBC Live Cl and soccernet gamewatch Leeds v QPR.
Are you proud of me for that last one?
Good man. I did wear a tie to the high school job most days but I've gotten more casual here at UF. Not even the Dean wears a jacket and tie here!
Arsenal about to KO on ESPN2
RVP shown in the stands with a cast on his foot
That can't be good - they're really missing RVP coming off the bench, although Baptista has been better. Aliadiere too in the Cup competitions.
Frome the BEEB
2043: And news from Lens. It seems that there was only one gate open into the bottom tier which caused a crush around that area, when there was space along the way. After a few fans tried to climb over the fence the gendarmerie went for the tear gas.
Not sounding good
Sounds like another Hillsborough. It's interesting that the European leagues are going through the things that we went through in England in the 80s. I reckon that the same measures should be taken - for example, ban the Italian clubs from Europe for five years. It's the only thing that will force them to clean up their acts.
Not one person has suggested that. They should be banned from Europe.
For once I'm hoping for a goal from Hull. A draw in that match with Barnsley is the best result for us - it would keep both on 33 points.
As for France and other European leagues, I still see the kinds of fences in grounds that crushed the fans at Hillsborough. Those have to come down immediately.
Nice timing, Barnsley just scored a second.
I disagree with you about that. You just need one team above Hull and it doesn't need to be Barnsley
Rooney just went on a great run. Almost!!
Ronaldo had chance, Saved
Great save from VDS. Close for Lille
Yes, but I like the pack staying tight rather than some breaking away.
Uho, PSV have just scored against Arsenal. Good goal.
AND
Luton have scored to go up 2-1 up
We also need a goal for Wednesday against Luton.
Uh oh is right. Gooner will not be pleased.
Lille have started to put United under pressure for the first time tonight.
PSV starting to already waste time. I HATE IT
Lille have scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh YES!!!!
Called back for pushing
PHEW
COME ON UNITED, get back on top
Foul on Vidic, PHEW
United are under the cosh right now. Saha ready to come on
Wednesday have tied it up with Luton
Yes, go on Wednesday! Get in there! 2-2
United need an away goal. 0-0 is not a good score. We draw at 1-1 at OT and we would be out.
We need a goal for Palace too against the Shrimpers.
I agree - how can they not beat Lille?! They're crap!
Saha on for Ronaldo?
What's with that?
I hope this doesn't piss him off and then he pisses off to Spain
Go on, Skippy, piss on off to Spain with your stepovers and diving, you wee baby!
Yess! Goal to Palace against Southend. We're tied on points. I think they still have a one goal advantage on us. Very, very tight.
Bugger! Luton are now 3-2 up. This is a real rollercoaster day.
Barnsley now 3-0 up!
Leeds and QPR is the only match in the Coke that is still scoreless. Come on you Whites!
Total chaos in the Lille vs. ManYoo match. Giggsy knocked in a quick free kick while Lille defenders were still setting up. The ref's given the goal and the Lille players are now walking off in protest while missiles are raining down on poor Gary Neville. Crikey!
Just about over at Lille, but with the ManYoo players get off the pitch and onto the bus in safety. Please, please, please leave Skippy behind in the dressing room at the mercy of the rabid Lille fans!
PSV have finished 1-0 with Arsenal. Not a great result for the Arse but they should be able to reverse that at the Emirates.
ManYoo have won in contentious fashion in France and will now be sprinting off to the bus before the garlic eating rabble gets their paws on them.
Leeds 0 QPR 0 is now a result. Given the losses to Southend and Hull, we've picked up some territory on them, but we're still four points from safety given our poor goal difference.
