Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Oohh, Bolton almost go ahead after 30 seconds by Anelka
Bolton are getting some chances. Both from mistakes from O'Shea
Park has missed it from a yard out!!!!!
G. Neville is down hurt... uh oh for Man Utd and England
He is up but limping. Probably won't be able to continue. Sounds like an ankle.
He is coming off
Not a good start for United at all
Preston are kicking off against Burnley.
PARK SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 14 minutes.
Scored by Park but made by Ronaldo!!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Two nil
Scored Rooney made by Ronaldo!!!!
17 minutes gone
Bolton should have had a penalty for handball
Bolton can't contain Ronaldo
Please no repeat of the Reading Cup Replay
PARK SCORES AGAIN
UNTED 3 Bolton 0
Only 25 minutes gone.
We used to struggle against Bolton. They have outscored them 7-0 so far
They are England's fifth best team if you look at the table
Again, I will repeat what I said a few weeks ago.
People say that United have not had a blip. I think they just came out of one.
The thing with United's blip was they kept winning
In to stoppage time. Untied are coasting.
Preston have scored at Deepdale. Burnley could be in trouble
Half time at OT
I am a happy camper
But I have one word.
Reading!!!!
Be careful
No news on Neville yet
Second half has begun
Giggs should have made it four.
Lobs it wide by a yard
After an hour, Kuszczak has yet to make a save
Smiffy about to make an appearance with fifteen minutes to go
Free kick chance for Bolton... Speed puts well off target
Smith comes on for Ronaldo
Ronaldo has been magic... same again for Monday please
Rooney scores his second of the day and fifth against Bolton this season. Made by Smiffy
FOUR NIL
Penalty for Bolton
Speed to take...this will be there first shot on target... and scores
Preston are two up to Burnley. They are only FIVE points ahead of Leeds
That's it at Old Trafford.
Manchester United 4 Bolton Wanderers 1
Nine Points clear for a couple hours.
Morning, Dave. That's a really impressive victory against Bolton, who are no mugs, with the injury woes that you lot are having presently. I'll say it again - you can call the engravers. I don't see you dropping the points.
You know I have to say it...
COME ON YOU BLADES!!!!!!
That's not nice - you know how I feel about Neil Warnock.
Welcome Robert.
Should we open a new post or leave it as this
Let's leave this one as is, eh?
Burnley are in complete free fall. They haven't won since Christmas.
Should be interesting to see how Luton get on today against the Tractor Boyz, after having sacked Mike Newell yesterday.
I refuse to claim victory yet.
We still have Blackburn at home(Sparky always give us trouble)
Pompey away(they give us a game at Fratton)
Shef Utd home- should win
Chelsea away- no comment
Boro home- always give us trouble
Everton away- we've lost there
Citeh away- local deby
West Ham home- they will need a win or have no pressure
I want Chelski to drop the points.
Didn't you guys get crushed at home to Southend?
Payback time
Yeah, there are still a few hoops to jump through, but this was a big win. Now you have almost two weeks because of the International break to get your players back fit and from suspension.
So, get clearing that snow, boyo. Weathere report from FL - 78 and sunny.
Good news... Kathy is doing the driveway!!
I am sitting at my computer, listening to talksport and watching Reading Pompey on FSC
Yeah, they did us over. We need to make mincemeat of the Shrimpers today. I want to see eight lashed past them.
Just a little braggin here... we played a playoff game on Thursday night.
We won 7-4... I scored SIX.
I couldn't stop scoring.
Blimey, mate. You've still got it. I'm playing on Tuesday night. First play-off game. Wish me luck.
Get a goal for me
I had been playing like crap before but this week was great.
I hit the upper corner on two shots.. one from a free-kick.
All of them were great goals.
We played like crap during the season and finished sixth out eight. So, we were playing the third seed. The top four seeds all lost.
Can you listen to Leeds on the net?
United's was free a couple of years ago but then they started charging. This season it is free again. All I have to do is register.
Did you rip off your shirt and jump into the stands after the free kick, Tevez-style? You know that's a bookable offense, lad.
Drogba is on the bench at The Bridge
Sheva and Kalou are up front
Good start from Reading. I can barely see the penalty area from the shade.
I agree, can someone turn off the Sun
Reading could've had two already. Calamity doesn't look happy.
Chelsea 1 SU 0 after three minutes.
Sheva
Sunderland have a lead against Hull
Yes, good old Keano. I was hoping for a good result today. Now, come on you Whites!
Nicky Shorey for England? I don't think so. Is John Salako on crack?
Probably
Good chance for Pompey. He should have done better
Did you see the England squad? I didn't.
Yup, Barry, Barton and SWP all dropped.
Neville is now out after today's ankle ligament injury
Sounds good to me.
From 365: "1510: Tresor Kandol has missed a golden early chance to put Leeds in front at Southend." Ahhhhh.
Not many goals around
Chelsea have scored again
Kalou.
Chelski are resting quite a few for Monday's replay
Yeah, Warnock can get stuffed. I'd love to see the Blades go down.
I really fancy Spurs in that match.
Luton have had some chances but not scored yet
I can't believe that "Judas" Duberry is back in the Premiership. He was the heart and soul of Stoke this season.
I hope so. Do you think United are going through?
I would love to see a United Spurs Final. It would be attacking.
Wednesday just scored against Wolves
Yeah, I fancy a United-Spurs final. They're definitely the two in-form footballing teams at the moment.
Did you just give my beloved a compliment?
Micah Richards has just limped off for Citeh. They're saying that it's bad news for England, but honestly, would he get a game?
I don't know what I was thinking.
The Blades have come back into it a little.
Hulse is hurt.. he maybe taken off on a stretcher
Are you listening to talksport?
I heard the same thing.
SOUTHEND 1 Leeds 0
Who is going to play right and left back?
Who would you have as your starting eleven against Israel next weekend?
I'd have Foster, Carragher, Rio, Woody, Cashley, Gerrard, Lamps, Lennon, Downing, Defoe and Roon.
You?
You have to give Southend credit. They were dead and buried. Now it looks like they will survive
Derby have scored against Cardiff
Coventry have scored against Barnsley
Cashley is suspended for the first game because of two yellows
Bugger!
Hulse seems to have a bad ankle injury
No credit for the Shrimpers. We must win this game.
Boy, a lot of players are getting hurt today
How about Wayne Bridge?
Cardiff have tied it up at Pride Park
I'd have Carragher at right back. Is Luke Young in the squad?
He just had an operation on a knee
Why did McClown drop Gareth Barry then? Who have we got for fullbacks?
Huckerby has scored for the Canaries against Stoke.
Carragher was going to play left back but now he should take over from Gaz and I would call up Barry and play him on the left but Macca will play P. Neville there. Who cares that he plays center midfield every week for Everton
Norwich have scored against Stoke
Dowie is really working magic
Two up against Barnsley
Wolves have tied it at Hillsborough
I agree with you. Barry and Carragher would be my starting fullbacks given the injury situation. Or play three at the back with wingbacks.
Calamity SUCKS
Is he in the squad - I hope not!
Barnsley are now three down! Keep scoring - we need to level up the goal difference.
FSC has an alarming habit of choosing low scoring fixtures to show on a Saturday.
Half of the Premiership fixtures are at 0-0 at the half. Disgusting.
Jermaine Jenas has scored for Spurs against hapless Watford. Good news for the Hammers.
Second halfs starting....
With Luton and Barnsley losing and QPR drawing today, a win for the Leeds would really do us wonders.
Come on Leeds!
O'Neill squanders a chance for Pompey there. Still a dismal 0-0.
Wednesday have taken the lead again against Wolves.
Plymouth are now one-nil up over Derby. Cardiff have taken the lead too.
Scratch that: Derby are 2-1 up on Cardiff while Plymouth are 1-0 over Palace. Sorry.
Good news: Barnsley are now 4-0 down.
Bad news: QPR have taken the lead - they're on 40 points now.
Joey Barton's been booked for Citeh in a dire match at the Riverside. Big surprise.
Bollocks has replaced Lamps as he's been rested for Monday night's FA Cup replay.
Phew! We nearly just went 2-0 down. Come on!
Derby are top of the Coke as they stick a third goal in against Cardiff. It's 3-1.
This from 365: "1625: Amazing scenes at White Hart Lane as Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson scores for Spurs to make it 2-0 over Watford as his 75-yard punt bounces past Ben Foster."
Wow, I'll look forward to seeing that one tonight. Maybe Robbo's the better choice for next weekend afterall.
That's torn it - QPR are 3-0 up!
We need a goal...and soon.
Chelski are now 3-0 up - Bollocks the scorer. So Sheva and Bollocks have scored today. That's a turnup.
Also Citeh are one nil up over Boro.
Almost a cracker from Hughes there.
Ten minutes for Leeds to pull this one out. This could be the whole season. Southend seem to be rampant, so they will have to dig deep. Come on!
I'll take anything - a bobbly goal off a corner. A draw will do. That would leave us on 36 and Southend on 39 - four points from safety. That's what we need.
Come on!
David Healey's come on in the 82nd minute. He hasn't scored since Thanksgiving. Time for heroics now, David.
YESSSSSS! From 365: "1646: Second goal at Southend where Leeds have an equaliser through sub David Healy."
The gods have smiled....
I won't get greedy - just hold on.
And it's all over! Bloody hell, we dodged a bullet there. 88th minute equalizer. The Great Escape is still on.
And a great day for the Hammers. Blimey, they're like watching a Cirque de Soleil show these days, with Carlito as lead jester. First he tumbles for a decent penalty and then clears the ball off the Blackburn line! Fortunately the FA continue to dawdle over the Hawkeye technology. You could see the steam coming out of Sparky's ears on the telly.
Still, eight points back....maybe, maybe?
