Hello, lads . . who's for the Hammer's today?
A scrappy, nervy start . . . the sideline ads are putting me off . . . too much flippin'
McClaren's at Upton Park . . . back from RFK . . . curious as to what he thought of Beck's MLS debut . .
Bowyer = Useless
Man City goal . . .
And the relegation fight is on!
West Ham are putting on a clinic on passing back to the keeper . . . also on giving away the ball w/o pressure . . .
Hey John, Not looking good.
Citeh look sharp.
Ipswich are THREE UP already
Big Sam is beating Little Sam Two-nil.
Everton are one up against Wigan and Pompey have tied it up against Derby
Bugger, Leeds have fallen behind.
There is no way they deserve the point deduction. They need a good start.
Newcastle have scored number 3
Every game in the Prem has a goal within the first half an hour
West Ham are playing the "give the ball away in the center circle" game.
Interesting tactic!!!
Hey, Dave! . . . Pretty unbelievable how inept some of the simple passing is from West Ham . .
Does not look good. Citeh have really played well though.
Wow, not straight to a commercial!! They have a studio show. Well done FSC
So, I've got control of the television today . . . unfortunately, I've come down with infectious mono . . . it's been 2 weeks since the onset of symptoms . . . but I think I turned a corner on Tuesday . . .the family has gone to the Poconos for a family wedding . . . so, an all-footie weekend for me . . .
Champions -- Man Utd
Runners-Up -- Liverpool
CL Q: Chelsea, Arsenal
UEFA Q: Newcastle, Spurs
Relegated: Wigan, Bolton, Derby
Hope you feel better soon.
Good day of footie. Tomorrow as well.
We get the normal 11 o'clock game but we also get the Arsenal game at 7
Okay, my pop is over and he's taken over the laptop for a bit . . . I'll check in again later . . .
The Hammers starting to have some chances. Keep it going
Yes, Leeds have tied it up!!!
Crystal Palace are winning 4-1 AT Southampton!!!
For Phil,
Cambridge have taken the lead after losing at half time
Bolton have scored against Newcastle
How did Freddie miss that!!!
The Tractor Boys are heading to the top of the Championship
FOUR NIL against Wednesday
On comes Ashton.
20 minutes to go. Come on West Ham, get a goal
Petrov looks a dangerous player
He should have done better there
Blackburn have come from behind to go ahead.
I think I want Boro in my relegation trio instead of Bolton.
I can change it
Wigan get a goal back at Goodison
Pompey have come from behind to take the lead at Pride Park. Pompey better get a win in this one.
On deck:
Man Utd home
Bolton home
Chelsea away
Arsenal away
Liverpool home
YIKES!!!!
Bugger, Citeh have scored again.
They look pretty good.
I am nervous for next week!!!
Look on the bright side John.
Last season they cruised to an easy opening day win and then struggled.
YES,
Leeds have taken a last minute lead!!!
Pompey pegged back
Town on top
They win 4-1
Sorry about today's game John
Cambridge win on the road
Congratulations Robert.
A great away win!!!!
Long may it continue. Get those fifteen points erased quickly!!!
Well, the second half performance was better, but we didn't have but one excellent opportunity to score . . . I think the new big French chap in the midfield is going to be good . . . and I like Parker . . . but Bowyer, puh-lease! . . .at least Curbishley knew enough to get him off after 45 minutes . . .If we would've kept Tevez and I think we'd been half way competitive this year . . .
Hello, lads. I'm sorry I missed all the good banter today. But it was a magic day nonetheless. First time I've been over in Blighty for the opening of a new season in six years. Soccer AM first thing, two live games, the Soccer Saturday blokes and then Match of the Day with Lineker, Hanson and Shearer in the box. All with my dad by my side. Can't beat it.
Thanks for all the well wishes for Leeds. One game and one win - only twelve points behind everyone now!
Champions -- chelski
Runners-Up -- man yoo
CL Q: liverpool, arsenal
UEFA Q: newcastle, everton
Relegated: reading, fulham, birmingham
i need the rest of you lot to at least throw out a team in the fantasy league. Trevor Brooking has a team (a bit lean on talent but a team non-the-less). So get off your backsides and spend a few million pounds on a team.
Gregory . . . it's not my fault my team is talentless . . . I tried to plug it in with all Hammers, but it told me I couldn't . . .
Greggy: Check the fantasy footie thread below. I've got the Dahlgren Marxmen 11 going on the site you linked to on that thread. It's a combo U.S. international and LUFC alum side. I'm currently #500,900 odd on the list with 16 points. How about you laddie?
