Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The Sack Race Continues

After their sixth successive loss on Saturday, Wigan announced that they've had quite enough of Chris Hutchings. In all fairness, Wigan have an extremely thin squad and once they'd lost Emile Heskey - their main attacking threat - to injury, they were always going to struggle. Can a new manager turn it around?

In other managerial news, the LA Galaxy have parted ways with Frank Yallop.

Any comments, lads?

When I first heard this it was a surprise but when you look at the stats it doesn't look good!!
Who will take his place?
Jol?, Souness? Dowie?

Boy, that's a rogue's gallery, Dave. I'd love to see the return of King Kev and a five-striker front line. Why not? They're going down anyway. Might as well go down in flames.

Meanwhile, Bruce Arena announced his resignation from the Red Bulls, which my Revvies beat like a old dog on Saturday night. Peter Stuyvesant! Boss Tweed! Ed Koch! Rudy G! Your boys took a hell a beating!

Who thinks that reinstating a San Jose team is a great idea? WTF, they couldn't draw a picture. Yes, yes, MLS Champions, but really, shouldn't another city get a go?
