Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Here are the fixtures for today:
Barclays Premier League
Birmingham v Chelsea
Blackburn v Middlesbrough
Fulham v Arsenal
Newcastle v Bolton
Portsmouth v Derby
Reading v Man Utd
Tottenham v Sunderland
You'd have to say that these are relatively easy matches for the big clubs. Will there be any slip ups?
In Coca Cola Division One, Leeds host Doncaster in a clash of third vs. fifth.
Arsenal welcome back winger Tomas Rosicky for the Barclays Premier League trip to Fulham following a virus. RVP is still sidelined with a thigh strain.
Honestly, there are better looking grounds in the Blue Square Premier than Craven Cottage. It's shocking.
Will Arsenal bounce back from the draw against Brum last weekend? Here we go....!
Two quick goals in the Premiership. Aaron Lennon has knocked in one for Spurs in the second minute.
And Derby have taken a shock early lead away to Pompey. If they hang on, it's double figures for the Rams!
The early pressure from Fulham seems to have subsided and Arsenal have started to play their pretty football. Decent chance there for Fabregas. It's the sort of shot at the edge of the box that was flying home earlier in the season but he shanked it there.
David Healey is shown sulking on the bench. Someone should tell Lawrie Sanchez to pick up a green away kit. The boy only scores when he's wearing the kelly.
David Wheater has given Boro the lead at Blackburn.
GOAL! Arsenal take the lead with a lovely move wide left. Volz gets beaten by Clichy for the second time, he floats an enticing ball over and big Adebayor nods home easily.
Bugger! Doncaster have scored and leapfrogged over us into third in doing so.
Wayne Rooney has had a goal disallowed for offside after he runs on to a through ball from Tevez.
Double bugger! The Swans have taken the lead against Port Vale. I was hoping that the Waterlooville hangover would last from midweek.
Gator B . . . listen to what you are writing . . . Leeds have gone one down to Doncaster Rovers! . . . Would you ever have believed it???? . . .
Gooner's best of 07 mix is going to be tough for you to beat . . . I've distributed it to six friends along with his blog post reviewing the songs . . . I'm confident you are up to the challenge!
Wouldn't Gordon McQueen start a match by breaking is own nose in the tunnel?
Hey Trev, sorry to leave you hanging on the blog and the CD mix. It'll get done this weekend.
Shame that the Dempsey effort was ruled offside there. I really like the kid.
Twenty minutes left for the Whites to pull out another great escape today.
Tevez's chipped ball into the Reading box is flicked into the back of the net by Rooney with a clever finish from five yards. That could be a big goal for Manchester United in the title race.
Rosicky adds a third for the Arse, stretching to meet a lovely pull back from Eduardo.
Last five minutes at Elland Road - as Dave likes to say - it's Leeds Time!
Pizarro has nodded home what looks to be a winner for Chelsea. So suddenly what looked like a really, really good weekend for Arsenal has turned out to be just pretty good.
Into time added on now - we need a goal.
Come on you Whites!
Full time at Elland Road and no late heroics today to save. We've lost some ground today, no doubt.
Meanwhile Ronaldo has added a second for United. Dave will be pleased.
I'm going to make some lunch and will be back for the return of King Kev!
Nice touch with the FSC coverage there, starting with the "Luv it" quote and then with some fans singing "Keegan Wonderland."
The sides for today:
Newcastle: Given, Carr, Taylor, Cacapa, Jose Enrique, Milner, Rozehnal, N'Zogbia, Duff, Owen, Ameobi
Subs: Harper, Edgar, Troisi, LuaLua, Carroll
Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Andrew O'Brien, Michalik, Gardner, Joey O'Brien, Nolan, McCann, Guthrie, Davies, Taylor
Subs: Al Habsi, Samuel, Giannakopoulos, Campo, Cohen
Bolton have certainly come to spoil the party, winning three corners early on.
Well, this match has certainly gone off the boil. Bolton have come to sit back and absorb pressure. And the fans who were chanting King Kev's name at the beginning of the match are getting a wee bit restless. They'd give anything for one in off Michael Owen's bum today.
Ooh, that was certainly a good shout for a penalty there. Andy O'Brien seemed to drag down Michael Owen, but the diminutive striker's reputation for going to ground perhaps has proceeded him.
Charles N'Zogbia has been about the only bright spot in a fairly dull game. Bolton are even more defensive without the services of a quality striker like Anelka. You can hear Gary Megson screaming out orders from the touchline about channeling the Newcastle forwards down the side and so on.
Half-time: Well, Kevin Keegan asked the crowd to be patient and they will have to be if there's to be more of this turgid stuff. Crikey! I've seen more entertainment in line at the DMV. 0-0.
Another big shout for a penalty but this time I reckon that Ameobi was playing for a penalty. Keegan was off the bench clutching at his temples. If this kind of performance is indicative of his team's future, we'll be seeing a lot more of that gesture.
Looks as if Megson's throwing Ivan Campo to tighten up the midfield.
A lot of frustration in the crowd now. Boos ringing out around St. James' for Bolton's negative tactics. Fifteen minutes left for a dream start to Keegan's second coming.
Ameobi goes down again and again the referee waves play on. The replay shows that the striker might even have picked up a yellow card for that.
Five minutes to go in this one.
Owen nearly in there but O'Brien did well. Yet another corner....
And again the delivery was poor.
Another big shout for a penalty. this time a handball on Kevin Davies.
Full-time: 0-0; a disappointment given the hype before the match but the Toon fans will appreciate a clean sheet after last week's shellacking at Old Trafford.
Back to Chapter Four!
Sorry about your lot. I am happy with mine!!
