Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Leeds United at Wembley!

We're back at Wembley where we belong. The last time we were there, we suffered a heart-breaking loss in the Championship playoff final to Watford. Since then it's been a series of woes at the club, but I'm hoping that today's clash with Doncaster will revive the clubs spirits. It's all on the line.

Unfortunately, I'm headed to the airport to catch a flight back to Florida this afternoon, so I won't be around for the match. I'll be checking in online the moment we touch down in Jacksonville.

Come on you Whites!

Ah, bollocks! Looks as if the boys in White fell short once again this afternoon. 1-0 Doncaster. Well that seals a very disappointing season. We're now consigned to another season in the hinterlands of Division One. The only cold comfort is that we should start next season at 0 rather than -15 points. Roll on August!

On another note,
England take on the United States on Wednesday. I finally found what channel it is going to be shown.
It is on ESPN Classic at 3 o'clock.

Cheers, mate. It was a bugger to fly home to that news, but I also got good news on my dissertation so that's what really matters.

We should be strong next season and if we can stay out of bankruptcy over the summer should start on a level playing field.

Thanks for tracking down the info. for Wednesday. I'll be watching!

My commiserations as well Gator B. . . Doncaster Rovers? . . . Weren't they your nemesis all year? . . . Your loyalty through difficult times rivals that of Phil Shilton, for sure.
