Bolton Christmas Tree V Liverpool and all the rest
Morning all, i got up for this classic. Bolton's 78 men behind the ball boring me to tears...and then Bolton out of nothing should have had a goal on the brink of half time but its Rob Styles reffing and he robbed them per Rob Styles refereeing manual and disallowed it.
That said I hope BOlton go down , they are shocking to watch and bereft of attacking intent.

Morning, Simon! Thanks for starting the thread. I had meant to wake up for the start of this morning's match but I had a late night here in Houston and overslept. Sounds as if I haven't missed much. Dirk Kuyt's goal puts Liverpool back on top with 32 points. I'd love to see Bolton go down this season.
Here are my predictions for the week:
Bolton 0 Liverpool 2
Arsenal 2 Villa 1
Fulham 0 Spurs 1
United 3 Stoke 1
Newcastle 1 Wigan 1
West Ham 2 Pompey 2
WBA 0 Chelski 3
Everton 0 Boro 0
Hull 2 Citeh 1
This has been shocking stuff, Nigel Winterburn and the main commentator have been kind to Megson - he deserves to be thrown out for this dross. Go back to bed if I were you :)
Leeds are 1-1 with Huddersfield, with Rob Snodgrass scoring early and Huddersfield scoring right after half time.
Bolton 1 - 2 Liverpool
Arsenal 2 - 1 Villa
Fulham 0-2 SPurs
MUtd 3-0 Stoke
Newcastle 2-1 Wigan
WHam 1-2 Pompey
WBA 0-3 CHelsea
Everton 1-0 Boro
Hull 1 - 1 Man City
Thanks for the tip, Simon. I may take you up on it or I may just switch over to Soccer Saturday if the dross continues.
Surely Kevin Nolan should have moved to a better club at some point instead of languishing at Bolton. He's the only Bolton player I can stomach.
To be fair the first 5 minutes of the second have been much better than the first as Bolton have decided to have a go at last.. As soon as Liverpool get another go back to sleep!
I hate Nolan too, too much of the thud and blunder approach -
OMG, Gardner with a hilarious miss, laughable....
Leeds have ten minutes to pull out a win here. We really need the three points against no hopers like Huddersfield but they are local rivals so they're up for it. A friend of mine from Huddersfield who teaches at Virginia Tech was giving me the needle all week.
One for the blooper reel there from Gardner. Lovely.
At least Bolton are showing some intent here. Perhaps Megson rattled the teacups at half-time?
Good luck... time is very much against you
I think Mgson had to go for it, at 0-1 he had nothing to lose and was getting by his own fans in the first half. If Bolton can nick one it will be interesting though i expect MEgson to defend like crazy again.
Dave's not here to say it so I'll do the honors - it's Leeds Time!
Absolutely. I'd say that Megson was a smash and grab expert but he's not really very good at much of anything apart from leading clubs to relegation.
Torres coming on for Keane. Not his day, I suspect.
Leeds are pouring it on now...
Come on, you Whites!
Oh, how did Stevie G. miss that!
Hilarious miss though the Keane miss in frst half was much worse.... ooh Bolton free kick nearly produced a goal.
Morning Gents
UH OH... Leeds just gave away a goal in the 92nd minute to Huddersfield
Oh no.. huddersfield smash and grab!
Come on Bolton!!
Bugger! Huddersfield have scored a late, late goal to pinch a win at Elland Road! That really has torn it. I'll never hear the end of this. Three points thrown away at the end of a week that's seen us crash out of the Carling Cup. I'm not happy.
Morning, Dave!
Sorry mate
Morning, I have been around most of the morning but didn't think anyone else would.
I did have the Setanta feed on Veetle to start but now I am on the SkySports link. Andy Gray is much better that anyone Setanta has!
As a result of that loss, Leeds are stuck in third on 29 points but surely Millwall and the Dons will leapfrog us today.
Not a fan of Nigel Winterburn, then, Dave?
He's a Gooner!!!
game over...
Bugger, Stevie G scores!!!
GOAL! Gerrard makes no mistake this time. And there's my prediction wrapped up in a bow. Nice stuff from Fernando.
Off to make brekkie...as i cant see BOlton getting anything now.
Of course, I want to see Bolton go down too but I wanted them to get something from this game
My Sky link just cut off. Back to Setanta
This one's dead and buried with ten minutes to go. I'm off to search for Jeff Stelling.
Bugger, I'm getting a "this service is currently unavailable in your country message" for SS. How do they know which bloody country I'm in? Bloody satellites!
Gardnar should have scored there!!!
Hilarious, I clicked on the Veetle link for the Arsenal match and they're running the bloody JLH zit cream ad. I can't escape it? No doubt the ShamWow tosser will be up next.
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=23874&part=sports requires TV ants software but should give you Soccer Saturday, the media player link doesnt work, then again maybe it will work at 3pm GMT?
hmm just installed TV ants and no joy for me on SS...yet.
Thanks for the tip, Simon. I'll keep trying.
I can't use TV Ants on my Mac.
The link on p2p starts at half time
Liverpool have finished at 2-0. That's a nice thirty point start to my predictions for the weekend. Gooner71 - I'm coming after you!
United are going to be without Wayne and Rio for today's game
COME ON TEVEZ, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE
The Setanta link s previewing UFC but at 3 will show Setanta's Sat afternoon coverage, whatever that is?
My Veetle link didn't work. I am on Footy HD Setanta link. COME ON UNITED!!!!
Arsene's having the pitch watered at the Emirates, taking a leaf out of Don Revie's book.
SImon, I just want you to know I am NOT a glory hunter United supporter.
I have supported them since about 1970.
I was with them when they got relegated in '74, promoted in '75 and when they were second best to bloody Liverpool for the rest of the time until the Prem came along
Carlito did knock in a nice penalty for you in mid-week. He should be able to do the biz for you today against Stoke. Watch out for the long throws!
Teams are out at OT
Ah yes, the 74 season. Champions! I really need to post that Denis Law backheel again, don't I?
Come on VILLA
My Link to the United match is acting up.
KNOCK IT OFF
No Adebayor or RVP for the Arse.
Stick it up your left nostril Dahlgren!!!!
Great run by Walcott
What are you watching Bob?
United we stad i just found a picture of you online in a derby shirt in the mid 70's when they won the league , you glory hunter!! :) Just kidding.

Good start for Theo, whipping one across for Bendtner.
United's team
VDS
O'Shea
Vidic
Evans
Ron
Carrick
Fletcher
Park
Tev
Berb
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
RONALDO FROM A FREE KIK!!!!!
i have arsenal on FSC, Stoke will lose for sure. I have Setanta Soccer saturay up with such dignitaries as Dave Bassett and the ex Fulham boss from NI whose name I cant remember...
It was moving in the air the keeper flapped at it
I'm watching the Arse here at the Holiday Inn in Houston. By the way, Houston is a s--thole. I don't recommend it apart from This is It!, a lovely soul food restaurant that Gooner tipped me off to. Otherwise, a hurricane could wipe it off the map for all I'm concerned. It's dead to me.
Wigan have scored at St James'
COME ON UNITED... DO AN IPSWCH... SCORE NINE
That's another ten points for me, thanks to the cheating Portugeezer.
Reading are on fire. They are beating the Blades away
BTW, Ronny looked very happy when he scored
THROW IN TO STOKE!!
Denilson picks up a yellow for a late challenge. It does seem as if every foul is a yellow card these days.
I'll say it again. No professional defender should get taken in by a bloody throw in, I don't care how bloody long it is.
Off O'Shea's head and on to the bar. Lucky escape
Have these guys ever seen long throws before.
In my college days, we had a player that could throw it to the back post on a line drive. We much preferred throw-ins to corners. I could reach the front post with a flighted ball but this guy could throw it like a dart

opps, posted it twice
Commentator on the TV sticks it to the Arse pointing out that Villa have won a European Cup and Arsenal haven't!
Friedel spills a shot. Villa luck out. Come Brad, play like you do against United
QPR are beating Bunley.
We beat them, Burnley beat Chelski... we must be better than the Blues
Good start from Arse but 0-0, we are well on top at least but Villa will always be dangerous on break. Agbonlahor is better than Villa and I am sure will leave this Summer.
What a chance for Villa... there were three players to knock it in but they get a pen anyway.
Clear Pen
Young to take it... what about Barry
Saved
Villa are getting their chances!!!
United are at it again... not scoring goals
Decent chance there for Sidwell. I agree with Simon. Ag is for the off this summer, no doubt. We'd have him for a start.
something is up with my link... I am really annoyed!!
How spoiled am I?
The Arse need some more bite up front. Where's Vela?
Very spoiled. Remember the days when you were huddled over a crackly shortwave radio listening to the BBC World Service?
I remember it well
Throw in to Stoke... USELESS this time
Ashley Young did well there but Almunia made the save look ridiculously easy.
The 80s are consequently the lost decade for me. Whenever I read that Everton won the league just pipping West Ham to the title, I can't quite believe it. The top four have been the top four for as long as I can remember now.
Ahhh, the Veetle link has started to work
Another GREAT chance for Villa. Barry doesn't take it.
Arsenal are lucky not to be behind
Another good save from Almunia.
Simon Davies has scored for Fulham against his old club. Spurs aren't out of the woods quite yet.
Well, of course in '92 there were Leeds, Man Utd and Shef. Wed. In '93, it was United, Villa and Norwich.
'94 and '95 was United and Blackburn. In '96 was United and the Toon. '97 was just United and then it was the big four always
Phil Collins in the stands at OT
MK Dons are two up
United are stinking it up.
Ron is giving the ball away all the time
The defense has been making mistakes all over the place
COME UNITED!!!!!!!!!
Sidwell into the book now...
Nice turn by Park but he puts it over... he can't shoot!!
When is Scholes coming back? United need him
We have been hopeless since a great start
Peterborough have also leapfrogged us now. We're into sixth spot. Not a good week for us.
Into one minute of added time in Manchester
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carrick with a great shot. Nic
Half time at the Emirates. 0-0. Arsenal a bit fortunate.
United lucky to be two up but I DON'T CARE!!
Arsenal shocking since last post - abysmal though it was never a penalty despite commentator saying it was.
THat said Villa should be ahead without it, we are shocking.
Blackburn are beating Sunderland at home.
Will Keano last?
These two teams played midweek in the Cup. It is amazing how many times that happens.
Come on United... second half with United attacking the Stretford End. We can't take our foot off the gas, we need to get closer to Chelski in GD
Underway in North London
I reckon that Sparky Hughes is at the top of the sack race right now. Long long will the sultanate of Citeh tolerate relegation form?
Arsenal cant be as bad again but have 2 key yellows i am worried about.
Teams still not out at OT yet
Hartlepool get a goal back against MK Dons
Jeff S must be happy
Here they are and we're finally off
MEgson next one out for me....
Villa right back on the attack in the second half.
The link for SS is working
Lovely - let's have another Hartlepool goal for Jeff.
Delap in the book for a nasty trip on Evra
YES!!!
Berba scores United third!!!
COME ON, LET'S HAVE SOME MORE!!!!!!!!
Sunderland score the equalizer
I want a goal for Tevez now
Free kick chance for United
Ron hits the wall
Wigan are down to ten men
Leicester are one up
Adebayor on for the Arse.
I thought he failed a fitness test.
Free kick chance again for United
Cracked in and only parried by Sorrenson
I guess I am going solo at the moment
Sorrensen is having a mare. He fumbled another shot by Tevez
I just need a flukey Stoke goal for a perfect result in that one, Davey.
Evra gets a stupid card for obstruction when it wasn't needed.
United bringing on some youngsters for Carrick and Park.
Gibson and Wellbeck
Forget that lucky goal... I want four more for the men in red
Vela on for Bendtner
Here comes Vela on for Bendtner. I reckon that Niklas is best off the bench.
VIlla have scored!!!!
It has been deserved
OG for the Arse
Agbonlahor! 1-0 Villa! It's as much as they deserved, to be fair, Brian...
Heck of a header from Gale C.
Sonja off on a stretcher
Fulham have scored a second against Spurs.
And now Sagna's being stretchered off. This is not turning out to be Arsenal's day.
header off the post by Ade
Good save from Brad.
Sunderland take the lead at Ewood
Leicester two up
Oldham have taken the lead against Northants
Manucho on for Tev
Manu is in the beginning of his name!!
Ron should have scored but passed it to Manu.
Cleared
TWO NIL TO VILLA!!!!!!
Arsenal are leaving it rather late.
United shouldn't have lost to the Arse
Bugger... Millwall have scored
You're a bit ahead of me on the feed, obviously. I don't know why.
Villa haven't beaten Arsenal in TEN years home or away
Ach, Millwall. Bloody hell.
what feed?
Spurs have scored
The goal came on the TV before the computer
Frazier Campbell, the United player, scored the goal for Spurs
United have four players in line to score but they don't
The Toon score... wee Mikey
Swindon score against Leicester
Free kick chance for the Arse but no RVP to take it.
Fab maybe?
That's good for my predictions. That'll be another thirty points for me. I'm losing ten on the Arsenal result, though.
YES!!!
Great goal by Wellbeck!!!
Top corner
Swindon have tied it up with Leicester
I WANT FIVE
I'm sure you do. I reckon I'm 70 or 80 points up on the day. Not a bad innings.
four added minutes at the Em
free kick chance for United again.
RON PUTS IT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FIVE!!!!!!!
The Toon score again
TWO TWO AT St. JAMES'
Spurs have got one back.
Full time with Leicester only drawing
about ten minutes ago!!!
Villa beat Arsenal.
It was well deserved.
I suppose that means the Stoke bubble has burst then?
Right, mate. I've got to catch a shuttle to the airport sharpish. Nice chatting with you lads this morning.
I'll catch up with you tomorrow or midweek. Cheers!
Manucho set up by Ron and he misses
Final whistle goes at OT FIVE NIL
Finished as well
WH 0 Pompey 0
Fulham 2 Spurs 1
Take care,
I am kicked off the net for XBOX live
