Champions League Gameday 2!
The Champions League is back today. Unfortunately, it's another busy teaching Tuesday for me, so I won't be around. The Manc clubs are up today, so if you're around, chip in a few comments and I'll look forward to catching with them tonight. I'm hoping to skive a bit tomorrow and watch the London duo in action.

City have made another change, with Aleksandar Kolarov on for Gareth Barry. Strange? Yes, and there's possibly a reason for it. We're hearing reports that Carlos Tevez refused to come on when he was asked by Roberto Mancini. Watch this space on that one.

Lots of stuff about Tevez refusing to play
2157: Man City boss Roberto Mancini explained that he brought on defensive midfielder Nigel de Jong for striker Edin Dzeko after 55 minutes with his side trailing 2-0 because "I wanted to calm everything down." He added "Afterwards I wanted to put Carlos Tevez on the pitch, he refused to go on the pitch. For me it is a bad situation."
2209: Roberto Mancini on Carlos Tevez after the Argentine refused to come off the bench tonight: "He's finished with me, with me he's finished."
2216: Even more from Mancini on Tevez: "If I have my way he will be out of the club."
Off to Back to School Night and then teach at the college... what a long day

Thanks for keeping the home fires burning yesterday, mate.
I'm back on Wednesday having successfully managed to flee home to watch Valencia v. Chelski.
Here are the line-ups for today's match:
Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Lampard, Malouda, Torres, Mata.
Subs: Turnbull, Ivanovic, Romeu, Drogba, Meireles, Kalou, Anelka.
Valencia: Diego Alves, Miguel, Rami, Victor Ruiz, Jordi Alba, Ever, Albelda, Pablo, Canales, Mathieu, Soldado.
Subs: Guaita, Bruno, Maduro, Jonas, Feghouli, Piatti, Parejo.
So bad boy Torres gets another run-out next to Juan Mata ahead of his three-match ban in the Prem.
Kick-off time! Chelski about to get us underway. I expect a quick start from the home side.
Early scare there for Valencia, with Torres running onto a wayward ball. His first touch was rubbish, though and allowed the center back Rami to get back.
Also following the other CL matches, including Arsenal at home to the Greek champions, Olympiacos.
Plenty of Championship matches on as well in a busy footie night. The highlight is possibly Boro v. Leicester.
Valencia are all over the shop defensively in the opening period. Nearly an own goal there. And from the resulting corner, the Brazilian keeper Diego Alves elects to punch very unconvincingly.
Way hay - the Arse are 1-0 up already. And it's their new teenage recruit from Soton Alex Chamberlain with the goal.
Oooh - Ruiz is in real trouble there as Ramires runs through on goal. He's fortunate to only get a yellow there as the fullback was covering.
Mata over the free kick. No it's Lamps with the strike. Well smothered by the keeper.
Ramires is in the wars again tonight. Down receiving treatment. Lamps over the free kick.
Chelski are cruising now to an improbably 0-1 win over Valencia due to a goal from Frankie Lampard.
Arsenal are 2-1 up through goals from Chamberlain and Andre Santos.
Bloody hell - Solomon Kalou has just about thrown this lead away by giving up a needless penalty with a silly handball.
And Soldado scores!
1-1!
What a shocker, that is. No need for that handball and AVB will be giving him the hairdryer for that one.
Oh - Anelka nearly won it for Chelski again. Diego Alves comes up big again. He's kept the Blues out on a number of occasions tonight.
