Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I'll be at work but will try to follow along. Hope I can find an audio link.
I will join you as I have been up since 5 AM CST because I need to have Melanie at school super early so she can ride the bus to a tennis tournament. I forgot to wake up the roosters.
I've got Talksport on, we'll see if the copyright police miss it.
I found a link for Burnley vs Leeds. It is
www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/92790/1/watch-burnley-fc-vs-leeds-united.html
Firstrowsports also has links for Inverness Callie vs Celtic and an under 23 international between Vietnam and Indonesia that both kick off around the same time as the Leeds match!

I'll try that Celtic link, thanks!
Sure! No problem.Good Morning Someone! How have you been?
Been very busy. Had some car trouble that puts me at my work station on a Saturday. The world is at my fingertips, as are subject headings!
Morning, lads! I'm full of admiration for your ability to be up early.
Thanks for the link, MUR!
Thanks for the line-ups, Someone!
Good morning,BD.How have you been? I am sorry to hear about your car. I hope the car is up and running soon.
I forgot my manners. Thank you for the lineups, Someone. Well done!
No problems. Thanks for the Celtic link, they're underway. I'd love to see a match at Inverness, such a lovely setting.
Morning, MUR - actually, there's nothing wrong with my car. I'm not sure what you've heard. I was a bit sick earlier in the week but that's past me too, now. Fit as a fiddle on all accounts.
Adrian Healy and Stevie Mac are on the deuce, broadcasting form Carrow Road.
Ah - I see it, now. Sorry about the car trouble, Ed. Hope that's not too trying a situation for you.
I had the bad car. It got fixed, water pump/timing belt. A couple of mortgage payments later, it is running quite well. Best not to speak of it anymore ;)
ESPN 2 broadcasted Blatter's stupid ass remark about the handshake with Jol, Wenger, Mick, and Warnock speaking out against Blatter . Stevie Mac did too.Mick and Warnock went as far as calling for Blatter to be sacked and Warnock called for every black player in the world to refuse to play in the next international in the hopes that FIFA would sack Blatter. Warnock actually makes sense this time.
Definitely time for Blatter to walk the plank - he's an embarrassment to the international game.
Bit of Prokofiev blaring now at Carrow Road - very classy, Delia!
I agree 100% why does FIFA let him get away with this. ? Are they really racists?
Morning boys
Good to see Carrow Road.
It has sure changed since we have been there
I agree. Very classy. Carrow Road brings back childhood memories. Other than the standing sections being demolished, not much has changed.
Good morning, UWS. How have you been?
Lots of hype on RVP now. Still don't rate him.
Is the Leeds link working yet?
Morning, UWS - how are you, mate!
Carrow Road has indeed changed since our days of hanging out with the Canary bootboys.
It hasn't started yet? I may search for another if it doesn't start up soon.
There it is - Link 2 is working now. Cheers, MUR!
It says will be up soon. Try again in a few moments. If that is not the case then we will definitely have to try another link.
Spurs v Villa is on the Deuce on Monday afternoon
Moment of silence now for Jimmy Adamson - Turf Moor and Elland Road legend.
The match kicks off from Carrow Road. Link 2 is not working on my computer.
RVP should have put that one away
Early chance for RVP from a good ball in from Theo. Scuffed his effort wide.
Now link 2 works as RVP shoots across the face of the goal.
Fifteen minutes in and there's no score between Celtic and Inverness CT.
Finally got the Leeds link going
As for the TV, it is all Arsenal
I am sorry to hear about Jimmy Adamson. I believe he managed both teams and played for Burnely.
I second that,UWS.
There are six separate links on that page you cited earlier, MUR. Try all of them and see if one will work for you. Link 2 is working for me, if a wee bit jumpy at times.
Kick off time. Come on, you Whites!
The match is on the BBC
Why are Leeds not wearing white!!!!
I am drinking some Chocolate Macadamia Roast Coffee after drinking the remainder of the Cafe Ole earlier.
Early corner for Burnley now.
Burnley pinning Leeds back
Link 2 is working. Thanks, BD. I agree, UWS. The colors do not clash.
You don't like our stylish new black and day-glo green kit, mate?
I will be available Monday because I am calling in sick Monday and Tuesday so that I will have the whole week off!
RVP goes close again there. He's knocking at the door.
Just wide by RVP after Andy Two Saints was given acres of space.
It's been all Burnley at Turf Moor.
You lucky bugger.... I don't even get Wednesday off!!
Good free kick opportunity out wide right for Snoddy now.
Thanks, UWS! I am supposed to work Monday and Tuesday , but I am really burnt out from working and tutoring to the point where I have been cranky towards everybody except the LOBers and my pets!
Clayton shoots over from a headed Burnley clearance.
Clayton with a pop from distance. This is better now from us. We've weathered the early onslaught and are bringing the match to Burnley now.
I will be available for CL action too!
I like that. We're up into fifth now on the basis of kicking off at Turf Moor.
Looking forward to all the footer action this week. I'll be around for the lot.
Keogh and O'Dea should be in Poland or Ukraine this June.
Arsenal should probably be two or three up already!
OH! Off the line from Russell Martin ans he saved a n RVP effort.
It was shot by Theo, not RVP.
BUGGER! BURNLEY HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD AT TURF MOOR
BUGGGGGERRRR!!!!!
Burnley have scored - Rodriguez.
Jay Rodriguez scored with a header from a great cross , but was unmarked.
Oh dear
I just come downstairs form delivering some coffee to Kathy and Leeds concede
Sorry mate
Let's get it back, lads!
Sorry Bob!
Shocking defending once again from our lot.
STRUTH!!
NORWICH SCORE!
What horrible defending!!!
Well, I never! Morison has picked Mertesacker's pocket and scored!
1-0 Canaries!
I did not realize, but according to my National Geographic map, it is only 25 miles from Leeds to Burnley, so that must be a War of the Roses local derby.
Wenger complaining about pushing... that was a perfectly good goal
GOAL !!! 1-0 CANARIES A S MORRISON FIGHTS OFF TWO ARSENAL DEFENDERS TO SCORE WITH A GREAT FINISH
Wenger is having a go at the fourth official, as usual. He should be having a go at his backline after that shocker.
I have no link working for Turf Moor
Is yours still working
RVP misses an easy chance
That should have been 1-1 as Ruddy saved and RVP shot into the side netting with a wide open goal.
Wow Norwich!
Still scoreless at Inverness.
I agree BD and UWS. Nothing wrong with the goal. Just shocking defending!
Vicious tackle there from Duff on Keogh - should be a card.
I replayed the goal. It was a routine long ball that Mertesacker, a supposedly world class defender failed to deal with. He was outmuscled with ease. Poor by the German international.
Yeah - I'm on Link 3 on that link site that MUR mentioned earlier, no jumpiness at all now:
www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/92790/1/watch-burnley-fc-vs-leeds-united.html
Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary. A win in South Wales would be a great anniversary gift.
Another one cleared off the line by Norwich!
I am still on link 2 as The Gunners had another chance as a header from a corner was cleared off the line.
Congratulations, MUR! My best to the missus.
Arsenal almost in again
Another one off the line
Thanks, BD.
It was Russell Martin again. How long will the Canaries be able to weather the storm?
Same from me MUR
How many years will it be?
It will 21 for Kathy and I on December 15
More desperate Norwich defending as the Canaries attempt to counter
Good save, McCarthy!
Thanks , UWS. It will be 18 years for Elizabeth and I.A win in South Wales will be a perfect gift.
The Arse tie it up
RVP again!!!!
Finally - RVP pops in a tap in. 1-1!
Happy Anniversary MUR!
I will give you that gift!
GOAL !!! 1-1 AS RVP SCORES WITH A FINISH AT THE FAR POST FROM A GREAT RUN AND CROSS BY THEO AND GERVINHO DID WELL TO LET THE BALL RUN TO RVP.
RVP en fuego!
Thank you very much, Someone.
Charlie Austin is down injured for Burnley after an awkward foul. It looks like an injured shoulder.
Paddy has knobbled Charlie Austin at this point.
Ruddy did well to come out of the box to clear as another Arsenal attack was on.
Vermaelen and Mertesacker looked like right mugs on that goal.
It's our old boy Sam Vokes who's come on for Austin now.
I know there is a post about Blatter but I just want to ask you guys something
Is it only in England that people are wanting his head? I don't hear anyone else from outside England condemning him
Inverness are down to 10 men as Greg Tansey smacked Samaras with an elbow. Harsh card. Still no score late in the first half.
Charlie Austin is stretchered off after that clash with Paddy and the fans applaud his effort. Sam Vokes, on loan from Wolves , is on for Austin.
I am not sure . Everybody should want Blatter's head on the chopping block.
Vokes scored twice for Wales vs Norway last week.
Leeds old boy, Bradley Johnson, is called for a foul and is cheesed off about it.
Wenger has said to the French media that he may consider leaving the Emirates in May
That's my sense, too, UWS. I don't know how FIFA can carry on it's "Kick Racism Out of Football" campaign with Blatter at the helm.
On the ball City
Never mind the danger
Just for you Stef
Missed the handball incident... were Leeds robbed?
Gervinho has a shot deflected for a corner.
I missed it too.
I didn't see much in it, to be fair.
Free kick chance for Leeds
He was pulled back. I don't think it was a dive... why would he go down
Put it in boys
McCormack was fouled just outside the box. Great chance for Leeds.
The commentators both thought it was stonewall
or were you talking about the free kick
Ooooh - Ross with a wicked free kick straight at the keeper.
McCormack powered the free kick to Grant , who pushed it away and Snoddy blasted the rebound well wide.
Leeds win a corner off of Duff.
Free kick chance for Burnley
I made a scathing attack on Gus Poyet last night on LOB for condoning Suarez's racists remarks towards Evra and for Poyet calling Evra a baby.Poor by Gus!
The free kick by Rodriguez is blocked by the Leeds wall, then Rodriguez shoots over. O'Dea is down injured after blocking that free kick.
There is no excuse for Suarez's behavior against Evra or Terry's against Anton Ferdinand - they should both be fined and suspended.
Still time for an equalizer from us before the interval.
I just don't get it. Everyone wants to kick out racism but when someone accused, they are defended!
Did you see Beckham make a comment that lifting the MLS Cup will mean as much as the European Cup
COME ON DAVID!!
No one will think any less of you if you are asked, where this would rank in your accomplishment? You would answer.... well not as big at the Premier League, FA Cup, European Cup and La Liga
Perhaps more than the League Cup
OOH! The cross from Lloyd Sam was just too long for Snoddy and was collected by Lee Grant.
Half time at Carrow Road.
Still going at Turf Moor
It's halftime at Carrow Road and still 1-1.
ooh, that was very close to #2 for Burnley
Nice turn and shot... just like me in my olden days
Just wide by McAnn as Burnley nearly took the lead.
Free kick chance again for Leeds
That's half time, then. 1-0 at Turf Moor. Not pleased. We need a point at minimum in this match.
I agree with the comments about Suarez and JT. Should Gus Poyet be punished too? I read about it on soccernet yesterday.
These guys are still saying the handball should have been a red card... Bob disagrees
Free kick easily saved
There is four minutes of stoppage time at Turf Moor.
My link must be way behind yours
I am only at 46 minutes
I agree with you about MLS. Beckham is ridiculous to think that it is better than winning the CL. A boot to the eye from SAF is needed.
Second half underway at Inverness. Still scoreless. Celtic really need some goals against a ten man side.
Trippia is booked for living up to his name.
Bob, is your link already at half time?
PHEW!!! rODRIGUEZ WAS CLEAN THROUGH , beating Connolly , but his tame shot was saved by McCarthy.
A superb save by McCarthy from Treacey to turn around the post.
A superb save by McCarthy from Treacey to turn around the post.
I was confident he didn't score... Bob said it was already half time!
The corner from Junior Stanislaus was too high for everyone.
Now it is half time... we have caught up with Fredonia time!!
Halftime in the Pennines Local Derby and the Lancastrians lead 1-0.
COME ON YOU WHITES!!!!
Glad it is on the BBC, should be some good viewing at half time
Bob has buggered off
Does anyone have an opinion about Gus Poyet's comments. Should he banned? I posted at 8:27.
I just thinks he should shut up!
I hope Southampton wallop them today
Ex Gunner , Lee Dixon and ex Leeds player, Danny Mills,,are part the commentators at Turf Moor.
Just saw the replay of the handball... it was a definite handball by the keeper and he should have gone off
I second that, UWS. I just saw the handball incident. How was Burnley keeper, Lee Grant, not sent off as he was guilty of handball a foot outside the box?
Samaras is taken out, Ki brought in at minute 54. Still scoreless.
If not for Jay Rodriguez, Burnley would not have been a threat to Leeds. He has single handedly been the difference in this match.
The second half kicks from Carrow Road as a fantastic tribute to Jimmy Adamson takes place.
Jimmy Mcilroy pays tribute to Adamson. Well deserved!
Away we go for the second half at Carrow Road
Stokes in the 60th minute puts the Hoops up 1-0!
I think I read this week that we are close to or even passed the record for the longest start to the Prem season without any bosses getting the can!
RVP is flagged offside after a superb pass from Gervinho.
I'm back after a quick nap on the settee hoping for a better showing from us in the second half.
Gervinho should have scored there with the header
Congratulations Someone! I know you are a hoops fan.
Wakie wakie
A free kick for Norwich after a trip by Vermaelen.
That makes sense, UWS. I would have expected a manager to have won the sack race by now.
Speaking of Scotland
Did you see that Terry Butcher was elected to the Scottish Hall of Fame?
He is the only Englishman in the HoF
It has always surprised me that he was Mr. England the bloody headwrap and was also on the radio with the BBC
He went to Rangers near the end of his career and has stayed there!
The second half kicks off from Turf Moor in what mus be the most scenic view in league football. A superb view of the Pennines!
We're off again at Turf Moor... come on Leeds
WAKE UP BOB!!
How has he been elected to the Scottish hall of fame? what has he done to merit that? I remember the head wrap. I think it was a World Cup qualifier against Sweden.
I need a goal to wake me up!
Ramsey volleys into the side netting from a cross by Theo. Ruddy had it covered.
It's all Arsenal at the moment.
He played for Rangers and has managed many teams as well as being assistant manager for the national side under Burley
A superb save by Ruddy as Gervinho was through and then the Canaries clear.
El Kaddouri out, McCourt comes in at the 69th minute. Still 1-0 Celtic against the 10 man Inverness.
I guess I can see him being elected to the Scottish Hall of Fame.. That is correct. He did play for Rangers.
The key for Leeds is to contain Jay Rodriguez and to have more shots on goal.
It's RVP again! 1-2 Arse!
Vokes headed just wide from the throw by Trippia.
RVP with another goal... that is 31 in the calendar year.... not too shabby
Stokes matches RVP's goal output today, 2-0 Celtic in the 72nd minute!
Great pass by Song to RVP after Norwich cheaply conceded possession in midfield. 1-2 Gunners.
I believe that's 12 goals on the season for RVP now - well clear of Rooney and Aguero now.
Howson shoots wide for Leeds, who are now dominating possession.
Dangerous free kick now given up by Snoddy.
what a shame abut the Arsenal goal As Russell Martin, who has had a great match, was guilty of gifting possession after being too fancy. The Canaries paid the price.
Great save, McCarthy from the free kick. Well smothered.
McCarthy does well to save the free kick from Treacy and hold on.
Norwich should have tied it up agian
There is a world Cup qualifier between Botswana and the Central African Republic. Anyone up for that one? :0}
McCormack is off... why?
Where is the Argie Boy
