FA Cup 4th Round Live!
It's FA Cup 4th Round weekend, chaps. We start early with the spicy encounter between QPR and Chelski where the handshakes between JT and Anton should be interesting. That's followed in quick order by the highlight of the weekend - United's equally spicy encounter with Liverpool. It's game on then, lads, and I'll be looking forward to the pleasure of your company from 7am EST onward.

I'm back and have an excellent link for this morning's early, early one.
http://www.firstrow.tv/watch/104448/1/watch-queens-park-rangers-vs-chelsea.html
Teams coming out the tunnel and the commentator explains that there will be no handshakes before the match as per an FA maneuver. They've bottled it.
Here is the team news:
QPR - Kenny, Young, Ferdinand, Hill, Hall, Barton, Mackie, SWP, Smith, Buzsaky, Helguson.
Chelski - Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Terry, Luiz, Malouda, Ramires, Meireles, Sturridge, Torres, Mata.
Referee - Mike Dean
Good Morning BD. So much for sportsmanship at Loftus Road.
So Hughes completes the West London triple with QPR and he won the cup with Chelsea back in '97.
The link is running . Cheers BD!
So much for loyalty. Tony Fernandes is a lifelong West Ham fan, but since he could not buy them he opted for Evil QPR to fit the image of the club. WHAT A TRAITOR!
Boos every time JT touches the ball.
Morning Boys
Was there a handshake?
I have the game on FSC + for now until the big one starts
Good morning UWS. I missed the first five minutes, but would not be surprised if there wasn't.
Well wide by Joey Barton and due to his bad boy image was greeted by cheers from the Chelsea fans.
It has been a scrappy start, but Chelsea have dominated the early possession.
Ivanovic fouls Helgusson in a decent position for QPR.
Luiz heads away a Barton free kick.
This match is a really tame affair compared to the October encounter.
Here are the line ups for Anfield
Liverpool
Reina
Jose Enrique
Agger
Carragher
Kelly
Skrtel
Gerrard
Maxi
Henderson
Downing
Carroll
Subs

Berbatov
Hernandez
Morning, lads. No - the FA bottled it and ordered that there would be no handshakes before the match. I was anticipating another handshake snub a la Wayne Bridge. JT inspires those moments.
That United line up is strange. Rooney hurt an ankle so surely Berba or Hernandez would get the start but no.
How Hernandez has fallen!
That looks like a defensive 5-4-1 lineup from Kenny and his only true forward is out of form. That could play into United's hands.
When is JT's racism charge going to be sorted out?
Fergie with his usual strikerless, four winger strategy. Although, you typed Giggs twice. Does he have a doppelganger in the side?
What is Chelsea's line up look like?
Strong?
I was please with Spurs line up last night. Most of their big guns played.. so they should... it the FA Cup
It is strange by both teams as both gaffers go for a 5-4-1 formation. Why is De Gea in goal when Lindy is in form?
Well, since he's is old... one Giggs is on a wheelchair and the other one can run
At least Kenny is playing a striker. That's one striker for two sides. Crikey! How defensive has the English game gotten? I still remember the days of the Little and Large strike partnership fondly - e.g., Keegan and Tosh.
I think it's a full strength lineup by both Chelsea and QPR.
Wakey, wakey, UWS - I posted it earlier when the match started:
Chelski - Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Terry, Luiz, Malouda, Ramires, Meireles, Sturridge, Torres, Mata.
Pleased to see Bellamy on the bench
It should be a defensive match at Anfield. I think Welbeck has been converted into a striker or at least SAF will be playing him as the lone striker.IF not then the only striker in the match is out of form.
I agree UWS. Did you know that United and Liverpool play again in a fortnight and also the early match, but at OT?
Did you see the cricket score from Abu Dhabi between Pakistan and England
England needed 145 for victory today... 72 all out!!!
I heard Drac may be returning to the Bundesliga before the end of the transfer window.
If you add Chelski, then it's three sides, two strikers - both out of form.
BLOODY HELL! What a collapse!
If I were Drac, I'd bugger off. How many bloody goals does he have to score to edge Danny Welbeck out of the side?
I did know about the next Liverpool match... they are putting United at this time slot as much as they can until the Europa League starts!
Good point, but at least Sturridge is playing. Wouldn't mind having him at OT.
I'll have no cricket news on FA Cup 4th Round weekend, ta very much.
FSC said Landy assisted with both Everton goals yesterday. Good for Landy and Timmy, but bad for Clint.
Did you watch any of the matches last night?
FSC had the Donovan Dempsey Derby
It was JP Delacamera (sp?) on the mic... what the hell is he doing on fox?
Oh - there was some danger. Cashley got behind the defensive but floated his cross a bit long for Sturridge.
Are we going to have to ban handshakes at LOB?
Yes, Landy had two nice crosses for headed goals
I missed that - I'm down in DC this weekend, so we were out at dinner last night.
I missed the matches last night . I was not aware that FSC was broadcasting them.
We went out to dinner too. How are things at LA Maison Gooner?
What a boring cup tie!
I wish there were no handshakes at all. I wish it were back to the teams running out of the tunnel straight to their end. They didn't come out together either!
I ain't shakin' Dahlgren's hand after that cricket comment!!
Hey, say hello to Gooner for me
I had to leave the matches to coach Matt's game
I had a feeling you would say that. I like your idea of the teams coming out of the tunnel separately. They would have a few drinks together after the match.
Did you see that there is a rumor that Bollocks may come to Old Trafford... please no!!
My link crashed and is taking forever to reload.
I hope not. The last player we need at OT.
I heard that Pardew is going to rest players for League games to have a good Cup run... does anyone believe him? Demba Ba's Senegal team got knocked early... he should be back soon
Having a bang up time down here. We had Thai food and then watched "The Commitments" - love that film.
Come on FSC.. the match is about to start and we're still on commercials!
FINALLY!
Handshakes at Anfield - where's Luis?
So, obviously, after United knock off Liverpool we will have go to Stamford Bridge for the fifth round, the Emirates for the Quarters and then who cares!
Well, the early, early one has been a real bore - let's hope for better from you lot.
United haven't won the Cup since 2004... we're due!
Away we go
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
Luis is serving the last match of his eight match ban. One minute of stoppage time at Loftus Road.
He's still banned
The match kicks off at OT.
United play the ball straight back to Evra and the boos start up straight away.
There's a shocker... boos for Evra
Halftime and 0-0 at Loftus Road.
COME ON YOU BLUES!
And Blacks
Maxi with a decent shot well saved by De Gea
Corner to Liverpool
Great save by De Gea from Maxi.
Oh - a raking drive from Maxi that's turned around by Twilight.
Correct. Blue and Black hoops!
A useless Liversox corner.
0-0 at Loftus Road in the early, early bore.
will Cardiff be in the Europa League if they win the Carling or not since they are a Welsh club?
Soccer Saturday link
http://www.firstrow.tv/watch/104450/1/watch-soccer-saturday.html
so we can watch the panel boys following the MK Dons' match
I don't know... there was the same question asked when they were in the FA Cup Final
Giggs with a shot... hits the third post!
Giggs with a powerful shot at Reina in the battle of Spanish keepers.
Thanks for the link UWS. Cheers.
Struth... Gerrard came in with a run..phew
Cardiff's hero was their keeper , former United trainee, Tom Heaton. That's one for the MUFC academy factor.
Luis is on the sideline staring down his nemesis Patrice Evra.
Downing went past Rafael far too easily.
Luis has nobody to blame , but himself. He has no excuses.
Giggs with a hopeless pass.... he does that too often since he has been in the middle. He keeps trying stupid fancy passes
The four panel boys are asked about who will win the league
Three go for City and Charlie goes for United
Merse thinks that if City don't win this year they won't. United's won't be as weak next year
I meant they won't win at all!
Where's Bob buggered off to? I will shake your hand Bob... I was just joking
I think he's still around. He typed the Evra comment a few minutes ago.
I'm still here, handshake or no handshake. I was just presented with a bagel and cuppa that had to be contended with.
A little wreckless by Caradonna on Park.
A great choice, BD.
Come on United... we were already up by one at Eastlands
BBC Radio 5 live pundit Mark Lawrenson on the opening 15 minutes at Anfield: "Manchester United are just looking a little bit more comfortable on the ball and more of an attacking threat."
The second half kicks off at Loftus Road and Macheda is on for Helgusson due to an injury.
I'm bloody goal starved, though.
Oh - Valencia off the post!
oooh Valencia off the Sunday Roast!!
Great run and shot
Of course, no one on the panel is watching!
OH OFF THE POST by Valencia.
Still no FA Cup goals today.
Is Macheda on loan or was he sold?
If on loan, did Hughesie get permission from SAF for him to play
Macheda is on loan.I think Warnock was in charge when he was sent on loan.
United had a chance to clear but Park slipped.
Corner to Pool...and Liverpool score
BUGGER
GOAL! Agger with a header from the corner!
Was it De Gea's fault... he was in no man's land
BLOODY HELL! LIVERSOX TAKE THE LAD AND AGGER HEADS HOME A SCRAPPY GOAL. DE GEA WAS OUT OF POSITION.
Back to my original question. Why is De Gea starting today?
Where was Twilight on that one? No man's land.
0-1!
Things were going well until that bloody corner.
Again, United had a chance to take the ball away just before the goal
Of course, Sky haven't even mentioned the goal yet!
THE FA CUP IS STILL ON BOYS!!!
Scholes has a shot blocked
Pool are rampant now, Gerrard storming through.
Well over by Stevie G as he was given the freedom of Anfield.
United need to bring on someone that is going to play in the box!
If not for De Gea we would still not have any FA Cup goals today!
Of course, some defenders could defend properly and clear it
Drac and Chicha are on the bench. They could easily do the job.
They still haven't said anything about the Anfield goal yet
Also a certain keeper could take charge in the box on corners.
FINALLY!!!
Looks like they don't even have a reporter at Anfield
A bit of argy bargy between Henderson and Valencia.
Can't believe that. Where are they?
Did you guys see the goals from last week?
Some corkers around the country
Keane's second, some of QPR's goals
Useless cross by Rafa
A cross by Rafael was straight to Reina.
I missed the goals. I am surprised to hear Robbie Keane is still doing well.
There are two Championship games today
Peterborough v Portsmouth
Reading v Bristol City
Penalty to Chelsea as Sturridge appeared to con the ref with a dive.
Unfortunately, I missed those but I'll have another poke around to look for last week's goals.
The cable has gone out down here in Gooner HQ.
Goal at the Loftus Road to Chelsea
A penalty... bugger
Chelsea take the lead as Mata sends Paddy Kenny the wrong way. Barton and co are furious.
I think Sturridge made the most of a little push
Gooner is wondering if they're letting JT take the pen just to be bastards about the whole thing with Anton.
I thought it was a definite dive.I agree with Barton this time.
No reporter at Anfield but they have a guy live for the Ayr vs Kilmarnock
As Arsene would say, I didn't see the incident.
That would have been mean!
It was Mata with the spot kick
What are Steve's thoughts on the replacement of Ox-Ch last week?
Useless by Welbeck
10 odd minutes to get the goal... come on UNITED
Another stupid pass by Giggs... he chips it up to Welbeck...pass it into space to run in to
YES!!!!!!!!
PARK!!!!!!!!!!!
GOAL! United are back in it!
Great finish!!!
Great run and cross by Rafa!
Sky announce it right away.. just cause they were talking about it at the time
He's short
He's hard
He'll eat your St. Bernard
Great stuff from Rafael down the left. He picked out Park who nailed the finish.
1-1!
"He's short, he's hard -
He'll eat your St. Bernard
Park Ji-Suuuung - Park Ji Sung."
You beat me to it, mate. Well in!
Saw the goal, but was on the phone helping my brother get on the site. Great job by Raffa to go past Jose Enrique for Park to finish.
This is the kiss of death but I think the ref has done a good job so far
BOOM BOOM BASIL, BD AND UWS!
The cheer you taught me had Park after the JS
Not sure which is better
United have been the better team
Another pathetic pass by Giggs!
Why does he think he can make cute passes like that
is it me?
Into stoppage time at OT.
Half time..
Decent half for United
We have deserved to be level at least
Off to get dressed
Half-time - 1-1.
The match came to life in the last 20 minutes as United pressed their case for the inevitable equalizer.
Halftime and 1-1 at Anfield. I'm off to take Melanie to take her SAT's. Wish her luck.
Best of luck Melanie
Under ten minutes to go at Loftus Road
Ian Dennis at Loftus Road: "Very unsavoury chanting aimed at John Terry by QPR fans. One of them is orchestrating the chanting after climbing up onto a television camera gantry. Stewards trying to get him down."
Ref has a chance to make it up with a pen for Rangers.. he doesn't
SEVEN minutes of added time at LR
Apparently, Ramieres was hurt
I am back. Ta very much,UWS.
I don't know why but I just figured out that BOTH games are the racism games... on the same day!
Three minutes of the second half have been played in the second half.
It sure is . I had not thought about that.
Looks like Chelsea will go through thanks to a dodgy penalty.
I'm back for the second half and knocking on wood for Melanie with the SAT's.
was that a handball off the Scholes cross?
Gooner is pulling for a draw and a replay for you lot. What do you reckon?
Cheers, BD! I appreciate it.
STRUTH... I missed the start of the second half!!!
I thought that was unintentional, no pen.
I agree with you
Don't want a replay vs Liversox. Would rather win at the first attempt. Wanted a draw at Loftus Road.
I mistimed the half time break... I missed the start. Has United started well?
Giggs wins a United corner.
The corner was properly cleared.
QPR have a decent shot but that is it
Chelsea are through
Great save by Cech off of Luke Young and Chelsea win 0-1 at Loftus Road.
Bellamy coming on... don't want to see him
Bellamy warming don't want him on the pitch.
Handshakes by AVB. will he be fined by the FA?
Not good by De Gea!
A possible 9 prem teams could make the 5th round... there are already three in
Everton, Spurs and Chelsea
Scramble in the box... come on United... sort it out
Carroll is claiming a pen now, with Smalling falling over on the ball. No chance.
Don't know why Andy Carroll wanted a penalty ? Didn't see anything wrong.
Welbeck almost in!
Chance as welbeck was through, but Skrtel beat him to it.
He should stop appealing and go for the ball
United's Diouff has joined Hannover for an undisclosed fee
Carradona off and Kuyt on. Attacking move.
Well done Ref... still doing a good job
Glad there was no red or yellow
Oh dear - Twilight's given up a corner for no apparent reason.
Diouf was never going to break into the first team. Great to unload him.
De Gea drops another one!
