Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The Neviller's XI

The Neviller apparently responded to the question of who should Don Fabio test together at the next opportunity.

His XI:

Hart; Walker, Jones, Smalling, A. Cole; Gerrard, Parker, Wilshire, Sturridge, Rooney, Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Obviously Jack won't be back in shape in time to feature this summer, and Rooney's 2 match suspension poses lots of questions, but it's the nod to the future that a few of us LOBbers would cheer.

It's just about there, isn't it? I'd have Milner and Adam Johnson in for Gerrard and Parker and O-C may be a touch green yet. I'd prefer an out and out striker rather than Roon in the hole and a wide man up front. Still hoping that Andy Carroll will come good.

I really thought St. Helens would make an offer for Carroll in the January window. He wouldn't even have to relocate.

Neville is not that far off. I would drop Stevie G , Parker , and Roon.Perhaps ball hog Dafoe could play up front with Sturridge.Oxlade-Chamberlain is an exciting young player, who didn't even make his EPL debut until a few months ago, but Wee Mickey made the England squad uner similar circumstances, so I guess put him in the squad, but don't start him.I hope Jack is fit because he should definitely start.
