Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Trivia Time

A lot of talk on the radio is about the twentieth anniversary of beginning of the Premier League. There are have been a lot of All-Time Premier League teams. Best player etc. A question was asked, How many players have won Premier League medals. The answer is surprisingly low.... 158! The top 25 are United players and many more tied for 26th. Anyway, I was looking at the list and here is my question... Only two players have won winners medals with two different teams. Name them. UWS

My guesses are Cashley with Arsenal and Chelsea and Billy Gallas with the same two clubs.

I am going for an unconventional choice in David May of Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers.

I'm actually not that shocked that there are only 158 players who have won medals as I think there have only been four sides who've won the Premiership in 20 years.

Anyway, my first guess was Cashley. My second is Nik Anelka (Arsenal and Chelski).

So, there's one more, eh? Hmmmm.....

I've exhausted all of my Arsenal Judases who left the Gunners for greener pastures at Stamford Bridge, so it's got to be another angle. United to Chelski? Chelski to United? Blackburn to United? Blackburn to Chelski? The possibilities are bloody endless.

Stab in the dark - Damian Duff. I know he won with Chelsea but is he old enough to have been around when Blackburn won?

I think I got it. Thanks for the helpful clues , UWS and BD.When BD said it was different angle than Arsenal to Chlesea and UWS stated I was close then I realized that it had to be Blackburn to United. David May was a central defender who took that route, but it was a another central defender who took that route .... It was Henning Berg, who was solid and reliable in the center of that United defense. It must be him. He is so easy to forget as he was not spectacular, but he was a model of consistency.

Great question, UWS - I would have never guessed Henning Berg.

Congrats, MUR!
