We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Angus Podgorney wins the US Open!

Congratulations to Andy Murray who tonight won his first Grand Slam title when he defeated Novak Djokovic in the US Open final, ending years of frustration and once and for all proving that the Scots aren't completely crap at tennis and that the blancmanges won't be winning Wimbledon any time soon.

I think it's probably a good bet that a blancmange will win another grand slam title quicker than the next Scotsman will.

Technically, a Scotsman won Wimbledon when Andy Murray defeated Fed in the Gold medal match in the Olympics.I know it wasn't a grand slam , but it occurred at Wimbledon, so the Pythons' prediction is true as far as I am concerned. Any questions???
