Transfer Deadline Day!
The English domestic transfer window closes today with the usual dramatic stories bubbling. Andy Carroll, Michael Dawson and Clint Dempsey are the main items on the auction block today, but there are plenty of other juicy stories around. Football 365 also has a much more professional transfer deadline day blog here:

Liverpool have snapped up high scoring Bayer Leverkusen youngster Samed Yesil, but are still at loggerheads with Fulham over the services of Clint Dempsey.
Another rumor has wee Mikey Owen moving up the M1 to rejoin Liverpool.
Big Nik Bendtner has signed for Juve today; one less big salary on the Arsenal books then.
Citeh are finally opening the purse string in a big way this summer, and are in the midst of signing three big names:
Matija Nastasic from Fiorentina, Maicon from Inter and Javi Garcia from Benfica.
Sunderland have picked up LUFC Academy boy Danny Rose and Jermain Jenas from Spurs.
The saga of Joey Barton has ended with his signing for Marseille. Phew - he was rumored to be heading to Elland Road all summer.
Clint Dempsey has just rejected a deal with Villa, saying he'll only go to Anfield. When did Nacogdoches Ice (Gooner71 tm) become such a bloody diva?
AC Milan have swooped for thuggish Dutchman Nigel deJong. Good riddance. Much prefer to see Jack Rodwell in Citeh's midfield.
In the continuing Clint saga, Liverpool have offered Fulham a swap with Jordan Henderson. Terrible swap, that, IMHO, but the clubs have agreed but Henderson is now throwing the toys out of the pram. Cor!
Breaking news! Charlie Adam is off to Stoke.
Lots of news out of Craven Cottage. Kieran Richardson is the latest to join the Cottagers - three year deal.
Hilarious - some twit tweeting as "The Real Berbatov" has commented:
"Everything is going to be okay, stay calm, me and my agent :-) don't listen to the papers or what they say!"
If that's really Dimitar, then he's a fool.
Citeh have swooped again! Team GB hero Scott Sinclair has left Swansea for the Etihad.
American international Mo Edu is also heading to the Britannia. Good signing for the Potters.
Tottenham have announced that they've agreed terms for Joao Moutinho, while VDV's missus has tweeted a goodbye message to Spurs fans.
Crikey - more from Fulham. Apparently Michel Bastos is on his way.
All movement at Arsenal is still out the door - Park on loan to Celta Vigo now.
Another name coming in at Fulham - Wolfsburg's Ashkan Dejagah is having a medical at the Cottage.
I'm lost count of their new signings now.
Wow - Andy Carroll has signed with the Hammers! Great move for them.
So here's a quick wrap up of today's deals as we inch toward the end of the window:
Fulham have completed the signings of Dimitar Berbatov and Kieron Richardson, Manchester City have bagged Maicon and Scott Sinclair with Javi Garcia and Matija Nastasic to follow, Spurs have sold Rafa van der Vaart but are talking to Joao Moutinho and Hugo Lloris.
At Liverpool, Andy Carroll went to West Ham, while Charlie Adam is now a Stoke player, and they're scrabbling to bring people in, with Clint Dempsey, Leandro Damiao and Danny Sturridge all mentioned.
Bendtner and Carroll are season loan signings. We thought when Nick was loaned out to Sunderland last year, that was the end of him but he bounced back to London Colney after the summer again. So look for him to prang a couple of Maseratis and leave come comely game-show hostess up the duff before he turfs up back at LC after his Serie A holidays.
I can't for the life of me see why Arsenal isn't actively trying to gazump Liverpool for Dempsey. We're light again in that position and just think of the container-load of Arsenal shirts that could be sold to US-based Gooners. C'mon over to the Em, Ice-Ice-baby!
