Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

League Cup - Second Round!

The League Cup starts its Second Round action today and my eyes will be firmly on Elland Road as the Mighty Whites take on Oxford United. It's been a while since we got a decent second round draw, so let's not bugger this one up, lads. Alas, I'll be teaching this afternoon, so I'll just be popping in during my class breaks. Come on, you LUFC boys!

I'm having a chuckle at Blackburn, Leicester, Hull, Birmingham and Bolton who have all been dumped out of the tournament at the second hurdle tonight. Lovely!

I'm back on Wednesday evening before my late class to check the results from today's footer action.

In the League Cup, Everton have thrashed Leyton Orient 5-0 with two goals from Mirallas, and one each from Osman, Anichebe and Gueye.

In the CL Qualifiers, Celtic have finished the job tonight with a 2-0 win over Helsingbor that puts them through to the group stage 4-0 on aggregate.

No real surprises tonight with Kiev, Spartak and Lille joining them.
