The Premiership is Back!
This latest international break seemed to last an eternity, didn't it? But we're back with the good stuff today, starting with Norwich v. West Ham at 7:45am. No telly coverage of that one alas, but all eyes will be focused at 10am on the local derby between QPR v. Chelski. Finally we round up the day with the train wreck that is Liverpool F.C. Join me, won't you?

Here's the link that I'm on:
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/140718/1/watch-norwich-city-vs-west-ham-united.html
Peter Drury is on the commentary duties.
And it's that inveterate dirty old man David Pleat alongside Drury this morning. Good thing that Andy Carroll is injured then. He's got a bit of a shine for the boy.
Here we go, then. Kick off time!
Fast start for both sides here.
Oh - Surman got behind the West Ham back four and fizzed a cross shot across the six yard box.
Looks like a beautiful day in East Anglia today.
Morning Bob
thanks for the link
I agree with you... it has felt like ages since the prem was on!
I actually don't have any games or practice to go to this morning! Matt's game is a night game tonight
Oh - Cole has one scrambled off the line there by Ruddy.
The Hammers almost take the lead... a scramble and shot wide... not as close as I first thought
Morning, Rip - how are you, mate?
I am doing fine except me having a cold.
My school year has started well. I like my new school... so much better than my old setting
Glad to hear that you're settling in well.
Snoddy goes over and Kevin Nolan isn't happy with him.
Useless free kick by the ex-Leeds man
Snoddy free kick hit the wall's shin!!!
That's why we sold him, right?
Rubbish short corner routine from Norwich.
Tom's team is doing really well.
You know they have brought over a lot English guys. A few from London, one for Liverpool, one from York and two from Bury St. Edmunds.
They were 7-0 and ranked 10th in the country. They just played Herkimer yesterday. Herkimer are ranked #1 and are reigning national champs for about a decade. Herkimer took an early lead, Adirondack tied it up. Herk took the lead again, Adriondack tied it up and then Herk took the lead again before the half
We tied it up again in the second half but Herk went on to win 6-3.
They were the better team but we definitely stayed with them. They hadn't let in more than one goal all season!
One of the London guy is playing up top and is ranked #1 in the nation in goals... Tom is ranked #1 in the nation in Assists. He got two more yesterday
I am done bragging
I've been following Tom's exploits on Facebook. Sorry to hear about the defeat yesterday. Sounds like a right old ding dong, though. 6-3. Cor!
Half way through the first half and still 0-0. This one feels like a draw to me.
You've probably read this but this is the stuff you have to deal with
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2203548/Harvard-cheating-scandal-discovered-typo.html
Great action in front the famous goal of our high school days... the Hammers survive
The cheating scandals are only at the Ivy League schools - SUNY students are honest!
My bad... wait a minute... I agree... I am a SUNY alum
Exactly!
Oh dear - Pleat's talking about "penetration" now.
Surman goes over and....it's a free kick right on the edge of the box.
Did you know if the old guard all play for United today there will be a lot of milestones reached
Giggs will play his 600th Premier League match
Scholes will play his 700th match for United
Rio will play his 400th match for the club
Wow - 700 matches!
Coming up on half-time at Carrow Road. I'm surprised that the Hammers haven't tried to attack more.
Remember, Giggs is at 600 Prem game only!
Half time
Good game but no goals
Giggs has made 910 appearances for the greatest club in the world!!!
Half-time - I'm off to throw some laundry in.
Who scored the first ever premier league hat-trick?
Who was he playing for?
Norwich get us underway in the second half at Carrow Road. Hoping for some early goals.
Alan Shearer for Blackburn?
We are underway in Norfolk.... let's have some goals
Am I right, mate?
Incorrect
Oh - Jackson pulls a great save out of Jask.
Le Tiss for Soton?
Decent hit there from Snoddy. Norwich are still pressing the issue.
The ref has words with the players about holding in the box... then they go do it again!!
The worst I can remember was in the 04 Cup Final. Wise was all over Scholes and was told to stop it.... he didn't and got away with it
CALL SOME PENS REF
Incorrect
I agree - they would knock that off straight away.
Ian Wright, Wright, Wright for the Arse?
Good intelligent guesses by the way... but still wrong
The team , at this moment, is not in the premier league
shall I repeat myself.... incorrect
Alright, alright. How about King Eric for (gulp) United.
Carlton Cole limps off to be replaced by a French African bloke named Maiga.
Which United?
While I'm trying to answer this one, answer this one for me:
"Who scored the first goal in MLS history and for what club?"
MOTD’s Jonathan Pearce at Old Trafford:
Manchester United v Wigan (15:00 BST)
"Manchester United's title began to slip away with a defeat at Wigan last April. Their commanding lead disappeared in the last month. The title was lost. Sir Alex Ferguson will never forget it. The Latics have lost just three league games in 14. They'll be buoyed by that April win - this may not be a home banker."
Manchester United - I think he got sold in the summer after we won the league, right?
I'm officially goal starved at the hour mark here.
Was the team the Revs?
Would I know the player?
Incorrect
You know the player, yes.
Wynalda
Was King Eric still at Leeds at the beginning of that first Premiership season?
Yep - for what team? (Not the Revs)
Yes he was.
United bought him in November of 93
He scored a hat-trick for your lot against Spurs before the transfer and that was the first hat-trick in Prem history!
Leeds actually scored a second hat-trick that season... you'll never guess who scored it... a legend though
Tony Yeboah?
No idea what team
Some team out west I would think
BREAKING TEAM NEWS
Left-back Alexander Buttner makes his debut for Manchester United against Wigan.
Nope.... another link between yours and mine
Never even 'eard of him!
Wee Gordon Strachan?
Andre Kanchelskis was the first Prem hat-trick for my boys... against Citeh!!
Good morning BD and UWS. Call me RVW.
Morning, Rip! Great to have you on board. You've had a busy week, eh?
So who was Waldo playing for?
Pleat is giving out fashion advice now!
You are correct sir. He scored his in a 5-2 against Blackburn
Looking at the list of hat-tricks. Leeds were involved in a lot during the inaugural season
King Eric v Spurs
Teddy Sheringham for Spurs against Leeds!
Wee Gordo v Blackburn
Chris Sutton for Norwich against Leeds!
Rod Wallace for Leeds against Coventry
You haven't missed much, MUR. Maybe I should have watched the SPL match instead. Someone is watching it.
So, how is the match.I can't get the match because I am needing to download stuff.
We would have won the league again if we hadn't sold King Eric.
Morning MUR.. i've stopped watching the match really
I am studying the hat-trick list
YOU GUYS WERE ALMOST RELEGATED!
You're better off watching St. Johnstone v. Celtic. They've had three goals there.
I don't Leeds won one match away from home that season
My point exactly!
I don't THINK...
BLOODY NORAH! St. Johnstone leads Celtic 2-1.I have it on FSC.
I don't THINK...
Wow, Celtic are losing in stoppage time!
Surely they are going to run away with the league
Was Andy Cole part of the discussion? How about OGS?Four off the bench in the final ten minutes.
The one time that Someone Said gets to see his lot live on FSC...and they're losing!
Celtic are currently in the third behind Motherwell and Dundee Utd
St. Johnstone is in 10th
Not so sure.I will be interested to check the tables. Motherwell must be in the hunt for the title.
We were just talking about the first season.
United didn't have one the first season
Our first was from Kanchelskis against Citeh in a five nil romp
Why is the stadium half empty for a famous victory?
Great save.. how did he not score that one
He eventually wore out his welcome with SAF.
That's it... Celtic have been beaten
Great save by Mannus, who doesn't evene start with Norn Iron
An upset as St.Johnstone defeats Celtic 2-1. Motherwell for the title?
I'd like to see that. Apologies to Someone Said.
The trusty update says it's 0-0 at Carrow Road. I sure hope the Canaries don't decline under Chris Hughton.
Agreed on both points, BD.
Five minutes left at Carrow Road for these mugs to score a late one.
Watching the highlights.Acres of space for the first St. Johnstone goal after Celtic had taken an early lead.Nice winner by sub, Rowan Vine, as St.Johnstone win at home to Celtic for the first time in thirteen years
I see a link that says Fletcher in United squad, but unlikely to play. I'm surprised he's still a United player
I am too - you should have packed him off to Sunderland long ago.
The United match is on Fox Soccer Plus, btw.
I agree with the Sunderland comment. Unfortunatley, I don't plus.
I don't either. I'll be watching the grudge match between QPR and Chelski. We're due for handshakes between Anton and JT, apparently.
Norwich and West Ham ends at 0-0. (Snooze)
The Hammers are currently 5th ahead of the later matches. I don't really know what Fat Sam was playing at today. That was a winnable match and yet they didn't set out that way.
It will be fabricated. I'm hoping for something along the lines of Suarez and the other Ferdy.
I missed the end
Shame there were no goals
The first half was good
Now to look for a link for the United match and SS
ESPN will be delighted they didn't televise that. I am scheduled for walkies on an overcast, breezy morning.
LINE-UPS - Manchester United v Wigan (15:00 BST)

SS link

UNited
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/140769/1/watch-manchester-united-vs-wigan-athletic.html
Who cares about the handshakes... I think the TV shouldn't show any of it.. don't make it news!
Just noticed the top two take each on today north of the border?
Dundee Utd v Motherwell
Just found this Bob
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/140774/1/watch-cardiff-city-vs-leeds-united.html
Do you know who is top of the Championship?
BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION!!
THey beat the BIG CLUB last night
Palace beat Charlton in a South of the River derby
I am surprised ESPN don't have a game this week
Citeh, United, Chelsea and Arsenal all play at 10 today
I need a bigger screen to have these windows open
I have LOB, BBC, SS and United all open
I won't watch the Leeds one.. I'll leave that to Our Bob
Did you guys hear about the Paralympics in London?
Everybody over there were as excited as the real games with the coverage and attendance.
THE USA SHOWED NOWT
Terry said something to Anton but Anton just ignored him
Over 2000 appearance for United on the pitch today
Take a certain three out and... not so much
Not sure why Fergie is playing both the old men
WHERE IS EVERYONE??
Bob, did you go to your match?
I am back and my wish came true as Anton skipped JT!
Leeds have a difficult away fixture today with Evil Cardiff. I'd take a draw.
MOT!
I have most of my sound on SS but I have the United screen showing
Again, not liking the starting line up
We are away at Loftus Road and then Old Trafford
They're off from Loftus Road in an evil West London Derby.
Have gone to the link BD?
United attacking the Stretford End in the first half!
Thanks for the link, mate. I'm trying it. QPR and Chelski have kicked off.
It's not the top two north of the border. Dundee hosts Motherwell. Dundee United were held 0-0 at Ross County
There was link for the top two on First Row
Crikey - the link is working!
Unfortunately, I can't get a link on this ancient laptop.
Oh - Hazard should have scored there.
Penalty to United! Merse thinks it's a dive by Welbeck.
A battle of the Brazis as Julio Cesar, on his debut, makes a great save from Ramires.
PENALTY FOR UNITED!!!
United with the first EPL goal of the day
Chicha to take....saved! Cleared out! Justice?
A highly charged atmosphere at Loftus Road.
Hernandez has his shot saved!
Everyone says it wasn't a pen. So it was justice
Missing penalties won't get you starts Javier!!
BLOODY HELL! He scored a vital goal for Mexico , but can't score for us.
Good lord - the colors in the Cardiff v. Leeds match are out of a Crayola box. We're playing in some turquoise number with navy shorts whilst Cardiff are in orange and brown shorts. It's hurting my eyes!
Bob's beloved Terriers have taken the lead vs Derby County! LOL!Donny take the lead at Colchester
Rosss is down receiving treatment. We need him fit.
I know United have had at least two penalties this season and missed both
Have we scored one?
BLLODY HELL! Is Leeds playing in Mexico. It sounds like something out of Latin America.
I don't think so, UWS!
Ross is having to come off - replaced by Luke Varney.
1-0 to the Arsenal. They're scoring again. Own goal.
More goals from the Championship and all 1-0 leads at home:
Bristol City vs Blackburn
Burnley vs Posh
Burnley vs Watford
Not liking the ancient lappy.I have to refresh to get updates
Loads of goals in the Championship so far. Bolton, Bristol City, Huddersfield and Burnley all with early leads.
Ramires gets booked for a foul on the break
Stoke have taken an early lead against Citeh! Crouchie!
Bobby Zamora straight at Cech after a defensive error by Ramires
Sorry to hear about the laptop woes, mate.
WOW... I come back to the computer and CITEH ARE LOSING
WELL DONE CROUCHIE
Not a single EPL goal today.Only the early match had any SPL goals.
Villa take the lead against Swansea
Oh - sub Luke Varney comes very close. Head in his hands!
That's two goals!
Great save by Julio Cesar from Torres. More like the Torres of old.
GOOD JOB CROUCHIE!
I missed the Arse goal
ooh, just wide by Welbeck
All Leeds pressure so far.
Blackpool losing at Barsnely
Fabio is off injured and will be replaced by onuha.Ex Citeh for ex United. Both rejects.
Do you think Fergie is starting Welbeck and Hernandez to get a partnership going with each other.
The other partnership would be Roon and RVP
Cole/Yorke
Teddy/Ollie
Hull City take the lead vs Millwall and Bury tie it up at Bramall Lane. Bob will be delighted with both scores.
Glad you can watch your beloved Bob
Strange how Cole and Terry are both fit but not for England
Plymouth take the lead against Port Vale
Giggs to take a second corner.. COME ON
Cambridge United hosts AFC Telford United at 12:15 today
Finally some good pressure from United
I reckon that Fergie is saving RVP for the CL in mid-week.
Cheers, mate. I can't believe that there is a link for this match. Maybe it's a Welsh channel?
Again, United I guess United are just not good enough
It may be that second partnership, UWS.RVP was injured by those nasty Magyars, who ended my beloved Steve Coppell's career.
Dundee not United playing Motherwell
Dundee are winning!
The link did say Utd
I wish I could watch United, but can't on this ancient lappy. great updates from the Nocito and Dahlgren sportscenters.
SS os ahead of the match
You're not missing much so far MUR
Correct,UWS. Dundee United were held 0-0 at Ross County last night.Ross held Celtic too
The top three SPL teams could end up without a win this weekend. When did that last occur?
Arsenal's goal came from Poldi winning it in midfield and barging his way through until he could release Gibbs on the left. Gibbs drove it low and hard forcing a parried save, and their center back facing his own net ran into the ball and it went in.
It had been coming. Poldi has had two storming shots, and Gervinho has found lots of space without any final quality. Cazorla's been deep in the midfield and running rings around the S'ton middies.
We have free kick now. Big Jamaican Rodolph Austin has been a monster in our midfield after a week of breaking US hearts.
Cheers, UWS. At least I am able to watch the West London Derby on FSC.
Morning Gooner.
According to SS, Arsenal are on fire
Morning, Gooner. Good to have you around.
Ryan Bertrand booked for a nasty challenge on SWP> Evil QPR for Europe?
Sounds like the Highbury Library at OT
Good morning Gooner. How have you been? I believe that was the first EPL goal of the day.
Cardiff are dishing out some tasty challenges so far. There is plenty of previous between these two sides.
BLOODY HELL! Horrible behavior from the United fans.
We need to make some of these free kick chances stick.
Young Fergie's men are winning 2-1 at Turf Moor
Own goal scorer Hoyveld(?) has been replaced by a Japanese defender. Allegedly the captain of their Olympic squad.
