Fall back for Sunday Prem Action
There is some Sunday EPL action as we start with a relegation six pointer as Evil QPR host Reading . This is followed by Liverpool vs Newcastle, a mid table match between two teams that qualified for the Europa League. We also have a couple of FA Cup matches as Burton Albion hosts former giant killers, Altrincham and Bob's Argyle travels a couple of hours along the South Coast to face Dorchester. everyone should be well rested and ready for a natter due to that extra hour of kip.

I think the geniuses at FSC were confused about the time change and as a result the pre match show started a full hour before kick off.
Morning, MUR - boy, I really needed that extra hour last night as I had a particularly long night. Sounds like the suits at FSC could have used it as well. I'm here to enjoy the Reading v. QPR dogfight with you.
Good morning, BD. Here to join you for the relegation six pointer. I think that extra hour of sleep will help us get through this one along with a strong cup of coffee.
Hey Boys
I am here for a while before I have to leave

Away we go at Loftus Ro
Morning BD
Morning BD
Back for the kickoff from Loftus Road.
COME ON YOU ROYALS!
uh oh... I'm doing an MUR
Nice move by Roberts. I think he made the wrong cross though
Good morning, UWS. Hope that extra hour helped.
Are you going for the record, UWS?
Reading come into Loftus Road in 18th on 4 points and with a -6GD. Interestingly, they have a game in hand on their rivals. QPR come in dead last on 3pts and -11GD. Neither has had a Premiership win this season.
These teams are playing each other in the top flight for the first time and other than the return fixture in Reading, probably the last time
Neither may have a win after the match. Sunderland vs Reading was postponed in August due to a waterlogged pitch
Morning MUR... no I will that record for you
Useless Reading short corner.
Now Taarabt wins a QPR corner.
Poor corner by Granero is easily cleared by Leigertwood, the former QPR player, who helped them top promotion , but was deemed surplus to requirements once QPR were in the Prem
Cheers, UWS. Always great to hold a record. Unfortunately, I don't know what I did to get those double posts.
Cold and wet is how Pleat likes it. I understand that it has been that way in the Northeast since Sandy passed through
Just listened to a SAF interview about yesterday. I am pleased to hear him not being happy with the performance.
It's just a glitch in the Blogger system.
Chris Hughton is in attendance, evidentally, scouting a future opponent.
Better than that pathetic interview by Wenger , a pain in the Arse.
Of course you are; Fergie is a Debby Downer too.
Thanks, BD. I was thinking that because I am not doing anything different today
Oh - Cisse did well there on the run to carve out a shooting chance but then blasted over.
First shot of the match is high and wide by Psycho Cisse.
What do you think of Argyle's chances at Dorchester today? They went out to Stourbridge at this stage last season.
What do you think of Argyle's chances at Dorchester today? They went out to Stourbridge at this stage last season.
A weird corner by Shorey seemed to hang in the air due to the wind and was easily cleared.
Will Reading blow a four goal lead today vs a London opponent?
Brian McDermott, who played for Arsenal in the early to mid 80s, is in charge of Reading.
I can't see Argyle getting by that challenge. I reckon they might be out first round. They're in terrible financial distress - shame.
I don't remember McDermott as a player, but that was in the dark days of the 80s when there was no telly coverage.
The closest effort so far as Hoilett, the Canadian , shoots just wide. Probably the best player on the pitch and the one most likely to win this match
The closest effort so far as Hoilett, the Canadian , shoots just wide. Probably the best player on the pitch and the one most likely to win this match
GOAL... Reading have taken a deserved lead
McAnuff wins a Reading corner.
GOAL!!!! YEASSSSSSSSSSSSS
KASPER GORKSSS , THE FORMER QPR DEFENDER SCRAMBLES HOME AFTER SOME TERRIBLE DEFENDING AND KEEPING OFF THE CORNER.
Gorkss forces in the first goal - the game really needed that.
Absolutely, UWS. Hoilett is the only one doing anything for QPR. Head tennis in the box and keystone cop defending
That goal will lift Reading to 7 points but they're still a couple of points shy of Villa in 17th.
So two of the Reading back four are former QPR defenders, who were let go once QPR were promoted.
Another reading ccorner taken by Shorey and not well cleared leads to another
Not a lot of quality on display this afternoon.
Morrison is called for a push on Anton Ferdinand off the corner from Shorey as he heads straight to cesar
Cisse scuffs an effort well wide.
I think there is some from Reading and Brian McDermott seems to have got the tactics right.
I think there is some from Reading and Brian McDermott seems to have got the tactics right.
High and wide by Leigertwood, who would also like to score on his return to Loftus Road as Gorkks did.
Two thirds of the possession by the away team will not please Mark Hughes.
A QPR corner taken short by Granero and Alex McCarthy eventually catches the cross. BD knows all about him.
I do, indeed. Very happy with Paddy Kenny in goal for us this season.
Sparky must be on borrowed time at this point.
It seems that way. I am actually surprised because he has never had a team relegated.
Decent long range effort from Taarabbt is just over.
Decent long range effort from Taarabbt is just over.
Did you like my picture . I was thinking of UWS raking leaves when I did the post.
This bloke is a pretty skillful player... Taarabt
Useless cross by Bosingwa, who is much better than that.
Hoilett is too and is more consistent.
Nice run by Taarabt , but straight at McCarthy
Useless cross by Taarabt . Pushing by Jaimie Mackie.
Useless cross by Taarabt . Pushing by Jaimie Mackie.
The picture went straight over my head... now I see it and now I want to hit you
Loved the image, MUR - still waiting for that Goldstein v. Nocito rake-off.
Hoilett fouls Jay Tabb just outside the box after Leigertwood did well yo put Jason Roberts down the left and his shot was blocked by Anton Ferdinand.
Shorey wastes a good free kick opp over the bar.
the free kick from Shorey was not far off as it went high and wide.
Does Texas even have trees!!
I have Hadrian's wall at the bottom of my yard
If it makes you feel any better , I had to mow the lawn in 90 degree heat , then sweep the driveway and curb. I was drenched.
Who's more likely to get relegated - Reading or Villa? Robbie Savage has been getting Villa fans worked up every weekend by predicting a Villa drop.
Was that yesterday, MUR? ;-}
We have lots of trees. Mainly oak and mesquite. Only far west Texas is desert. The rest of the state has lots of trees.
Yes. After the matches. Raking season starts here around Christmas vacation and goes through the beginning of February.
You don't have a Fall... it's too bloody hot!
I think Reading is more likely to get relegated than Villa. Just look at that away win yesterday.
Free kick chance for QPR... inside the D
We have fall in December and January, and Spring in February and early March. The weather is pleasant during those months.
QPR lining up a free kick now. Cisse is the obvious choice to hit it. No - it's Granero, who hits the bar! McCarthy did well to tip it onto the bar.
Nice effort... great save
OH!THE FREE KICK FROM GRANERO WAS TIPPED ON TO THE BAR BY mCcaRTHY ,THEN THE REBOUND WAS SHOT WELL OVER.
I remember the same seasons in Florida. Just wetter.
Gareth Mccleary fouls Hoilett just outside the box.
Poor free kick from Granero was easily cleared. Now Jay Tabb is called for a foul on Armand Traore.
That is correct, BD.
Dundee Utd and Celtic are still scoreless coming up to the 70 minute mark
Taarabt is called for a foul and would do well to shut it
The free kick from Shorey was headed away
If it finishes that way Celtic would go top, ahead of Hibs on goal difference, with a game in hand
Surely Junior Hoilett will be picked up by a bigger club at some point. He's a quality player.
QPR win a corner off of Leigertwood.
The corner is cleared
Peep peep - there's half-time. Reading with their noses in front.
Half time as the visitors take their lead to the dressing rooms
Halftime And Reading lead 0-1 at Loftus Road. If QPR lose, then surely Mark Hughes will win the EPL sack race.
Celtic take the lead at Dundee United late in the second half as a Venezuelan international with four names scores. That puts Celtic top, two pints clear of Hibs, with a game in hand.
Anthony Watt puts Celtic 0-2 up at Dundee United. This one must be done and dusted.
The second half is underway from Loftus Road.
The second half is underway from Loftus Road.
If QPR don' t get something from this match then Mark Hughes looks like winning the sack race.
McAnuff wins a corner off of Granero
QPR eventually clear the corner from Shorey
Jay Tabb fouls Diakite just outside the box.
The free kick from Granero curled into the side netting.
Gary Mackay-Steven has scored a consolation goal for Dundee United as they enter stoppage time.
Gary Mackay-Steven has scored a consolation goal for Dundee United as they enter stoppage time.
BLOODY HELL !!!!
IT FINISHED DESMOND AT TANNADICE PARK AS DUNDEE UNITED SCORED TWO LATE GOALS TO SALVAGE A POINT.Celtic will not be pleased as it was an OG in the final minute of stoppage time.
Back after a short kip on the couch. Someone Said won't be pleased by that scoreline at Tannidice.
A better result for Dundee United as Celtic go top , ahead of Hibs, but only on goal difference. Dundee United are six points clear of the drop zone with two games in hand, one vs Motherwell and the other vs Celtic
Agreed, BD. Especially as they were two up a minute before stoppage time.It was 0-0 at halftime of this match. Hope you are well rested.
The girls just woke up, but extra kip for Elizabeth
A mad scramble in the box, but Reading clear
McCarthy punches away a cross from Bosingwa.
Morrison clears for a corner after Gunther tackled Hoilett. Morrison heads out the corner from Granero for another
A replay was shown and now the action is at the other end of the pitch
A replay was shown and now the action is at the other end of the pitch
Jimmy Kebe, a survivor from reading's only previous spell in the top flight, is on for Gareth McCleary. Like for like as it gives Reading a pair of fresh legs
Nasty clash of heads there. Hunt is down for the count.
each team has a player down. A clash of heads between Noel Hunt and Granero.
Hunt definitely the worse for wear.
I agree with David Pleat. Mark Hughes needs to worry more about his team's performance than refereeing decisions. He should be concerned about player safety too. If I were on the QPR board, I would be disappointed in Mark Hughes for that.
A short corner from QPR and Leigertwood heads away
GOAL!!! 1-1 AS CISSE SCORES HIS FIRST OF THE SEASON, FROM CLOSE RANGE AS HE DID WELL TO CONTROL A CROSS FROM BOSINGWA.
GOAL! Rangers are back in it as Cisse pokes home a half chance for his first Premiership goal for QPR.
1-1!
QPR will rise about Soton into 19th place with that equalizing goal. Reading still in 18th, albeit with 5 points now rather than 7.
Cisse's first since the last day of last season and possibly a vital one too.
Great save by McCarthy from a long range effort by Taarabyt.
Oh - Taraabt hits one and McCarthy palms it out. QPR definitely have their tails up now.
This time , Morrison heads away the cross by Bosingwa.
Then Rerading goes straight up the pitch and Jimmy kebe goes on a sol run , Taarabt style and shoots high and wide,
Julio Cesar does well to catch a cross under pressure.
A draw helps neither team
Jason Roberts had a shot blocked.
Noel Hunt heads straight to Julio Cesar from a long cross by Jimmy Kebe,.
Agreed - that goal really doesn't help either side that much unless QPR turn this around with another goal.
This time, Bosingwa slips and Reading counter.
Otherwise, Hughes will walk the plank.
Cisse suffering from depression. GEE REALLY??? Well, I would have never guessed that
Well - his head is a bit blue....
Burton Albion vs Altrincham has kicked off in the FA Cup.
That must be how he is feeling
That must be how he is feeling
Gorkks is called for afoul on Cisse just outside the box.
And they have a laugh over it.
Sheer rubbish from the free kick by Granero.
Granero curls the free kick just over
Hal Robson-Kanu, the Welsh international, is on for Jobi McAnuff.
Do you get the feeling that Pleat would fancy managing one of these clubs?
will these two teams be playing each other in the Championship next season?
Hal Robson Kanu heads well wide from the corner by Shorey as Bobby Zamora is on for Jaimie Mackie.
Hal Robson Kanu heads well wide from the corner by Shorey as Bobby Zamora is on for Jaimie Mackie.
When the ball hits your head, and you're sat in Row Zed...that's Zamora!!
Now Jay Tabb is down injured from a challenge by Diakite.
I think QPR is more likely for Pleat than reading. Brian McDermott has done an excellent job and Pleat likes London.
Oh - McCarthy saves Reading's bacon there with an excellent save against Taraabt.
Great save by McCarthy from Taarabt , but he should have scored,. Superb pass from Cisse.
the corner is cleared and MCarthy just about clears a shocking back pass.
Onuha came on for Traore.
A shot from Taarabt is out for a throw in.
Are you sure you don't want McCarthy at ER?
Reading seem to be tiring.
On this form, he'd be great - I don't remember his playing like this.
Leigertwood shoots over from just outside the box.
a draw is poor for QPR because the evils have much more talent than the Royals.
Hey Boys
Sorry I have been missing... loo, shower, walkies!!
I am going to miss the first half of the Main Feature too
Adam LeFondre is on for Jason Roberts
Welcome back, UWS.
When did they score?
LeFondre formerly played for Rotherham, Stockport , and Rochdale. A definite rise from obscurity.
LeFondre formerly played for Rotherham, Stockport , and Rochdale. A definite rise from obscurity.
About fifteen minutes ago.
Now Anton Ferdinand is down with a head injury. It seems like a clash of heads with Ryan Nelsen.
Into stoppage time of which there should be a fair amount,
a Long throw by Morrison is headed on and Gorkks heads straight to Cesar then Zamora heads straight to McCarthy
Five minutes of stoppage time, but probably more like seven
Oh - for a moment I thought that the ref was pointing at the spot for Reading. Instead LeFondre gets a yellow for simulation.
Adam LeFondre is booked for a dive in the box. The correct decision from Michael Oliver.
Useless effort from Noel Hunt.
As you mentioned earlier, MUR - this draw helps neither side. It mainly aids some of the other relegation threatened sides like Villa, Sunderland and Stoke as the gap between the bottom three and those above them grows.
Well stated, BD.
Both teams won't be happy with this result but both will move above ... well QPR will move above Sotton. Reading will stay above
Very scrappy in stoppage time.
HE SHOULD HAVE PASSED
I'm off for a refreshing shower before the late one.
ooh, just wide by Blue Streak!
Last kick of the game
Kebe has a shot blocked and QPR counter. Just wide by Cisse and it finishes 1-1.

McCarthy is down injured as the final whistle is blown as he seems to have injured his arm, diving for that effort from Cisse. I hope he's okay
Bloody Hell. We could have the Fake Dons vs the Real Dons.
BLOODY NORAH!!! I go t run a quick errand and Altrincham go two up at Burton ALbion!
THE GIANT KILLERS ARE BACK!
Altrincham have a two goal lead at the half at Burton Albion. It should be three as they missed a penalty. Looks like another short journey in the second round as they will play at Crewe
Team walking out on the pitch at Anfield, while the FSC numpties are having the usual technical bollocks in the studio.
Liverpool: Jones, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Gerrard, Allen, Sahin, Suso, Suarez, Sterling.
Newcastle: Krul, Anita, Taylor, Coloccini, Santon, Perch, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Ben Arfa, Cisse, Ba.
I'm delighted that I don't have to pay attention to the first two rounds of the FA Cup anymore.
Newcastle kick off while the Kop is still engaged in the pre-match "You'll Never Walkies."
