If It's Friday...
...then Leeds United are playing somewhere. Yes - the coppers have decided again that the best way to deal with our thuggish fans is to isolate us on Friday night. Well, we saw how that went last time around at Hillborough. Tonight - it's Brighton who will be quaking in their boots at the thought of the Yorkshire hordes bearing down on them. I'll be in the office, following it all. Join me if you're around.

Good afternoon,BD. I have class during kickoff, but will be around about thirty minutes from the end of the match. May have to leave a few minutes before the end of the match due to a scheduled appointment. Leeds played at Brighton on a Friday last season and drew 3-3, but not a few days after a cup match.
Hiya, MUR - great to hear from you today. I'll look forward to your company.
Evil Neil must have been delighted with that League Cup display against Soton in midweek, as he's gone with the same side today:
Brighton: Kuszczak; Bruno, Greer, El-Abd, Bridge; Bridcutt, Hammond, Orlandi; Buckley, Mackail-Smith, Barnes. Subs: Ankergren (GK), Dunk, Calderon, Dicker, Crofts, Lopez, Dobbie
United: Kenny, Peltier, Lees, Pearce, White, Byram, Brown, Austin, Tonge, Diouf, Varney. Subs: Ashdown, Green, Becchio, Pugh, Norris, Gray, Hall.
Becchio came off the bench to score the third goal from the spot on Tuesday. I expect to see him again in the second half. He's our top scorer with 11.
Leeds in their weird black with day-glo green pinstripes kit this afternoon. Don't like it.
Leeds have an early free kick chance and Buckley picks up a yellow.
I'd love to see this one fizz into the top 90.
Rodolph blasts one well wide.
Oh - real Keystone Kops stuff from our backfour. Just barely survived.
Oh - now it's Ashley Barnes whistling one by our post. Knock it off!
Spitty is being roundly booed by the home crowd. Wonder why - he's a lovely lad!
Now it's a free kick given up by Michael Brown - yellow card, of course. Right on the edge of the box.
Dangerous free kick here.
Deflected out for a corner.
Nice overlap by Byram but his cross was straight at the keeper. This game is buzzing!
A draw would have us up into 8th and Brighton just above us in 7th, two points out of the playoffs.
BUGGGERRRRRR!!! Penalty to Brighton. Stone cold.
Craig Mackail-Smith smashes home - he does like to score against us. Bugger!
1-0 Seagulls.
Nice chorus of MOT - our away support is magnificent!
Oh - now Mackail-Smith has hit one against the post!
Oh - great run by Byram but he couldn't find anyone with his cross. Still - Sam has been the best player of the season for us.
I'm not liking the way that this one is panning out at all.
Oh - another big chance for Gus Poyet's boys. What would we be like if Gus were still at the club. A big loss.
What was that? Rubbish cross from White.
We really need one in off the bum just to get us back into this one.
Oh - Spitty did really well to jink inside Barnes but his cross was nodded out.
Penalty to Leeds!!!!!!!
That was something out of nothing. Innocent ball in from Byram and Bruno upends Varney in the box. Wow!
YESSSSSSSSS!!!! Spitty slots home.
1-1!
I did not expect that at all. Something out of nothing. A bit soft too, but you won't see me complaining.
Tom Lees has picked up a knock and Danny Pugh will replace him.
Oh - Mackail-Smith a whisker away from a second goal. Deflected out by Peltier.
Half-time: 1-1; Well, it could have been a lot worse. Brighton have been good and should probably be 2 up.
We're back on for the second half. I'm going to have to hop it in a moment. Heading out with mates to see the new Ben Afflect drama "Argo."
BUGGGERRRR! Mackail-Smith hits us again almost from the kick-off.
2-1 Gulls.
Good afternoon, BD. My students just went home for the day. I will be around for a few minutes.
It's still 2-1 to the Seagulls. COME ON YOU WHITES!
I see that the FA Cup First Round has started and Cambridge City is holding the Fake Dons 0-0. I would love to see a giant killing in this cup tie.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
MICHAEL BROWN OF ALL PEOPLE HAS TIED IT UP AND IT IS NOW DESMOND. AIDY WHOTE ASSISTED ON THE GOAL
Cambridge City is holding on as Luke Chadwick , the Man Yoo reject, hit the post.
Into the third minute of stoppage time as Cambridge City is still holding the Fake Dons at 0-0
So the FA Cup First Round starts with a real shocker as Cambridge City have held The Fake Dons to a 0-0 draw. It's still Desmond on the South Coast as there are eight minutes plus stoppage time remaining. I need to bugger off. Hope to chat with everyone tomorrow.
CHEERS!
Hey Boys, I didn't know this match was on
A point is a point!
As for Cambridge City.. well done
I played at their stadium once. We dressed in their dressing room, ran out the tunnel and some bloke stopped us from running on the pitch. We played on the field at the end of the field
Hiya lads, clearly the boys play better when I'm not watching them. I had to bugger off to watch "Argo" with some chums tonight. Given that we were playing so badly, I'm okay with a 2-2 draw and an away point.
See you in the morning for the big one.
