Premiership Weekend
Welcome to the weekend, chaps! I admit it - I had a few late nights this week, so I had a lie-in rather than taking in the early offering of Leicester v. Forest (snooze). But I'm up and around now and anxiously looking forward to the 3pm GMT matches, which includes Everton v. Sunderland on FSC as well as Arsenal v. Fulham. Later, we've got United away to Villa. Join me for the usual LOB nonsense.

Good morning, BD. I skipped the early East Midlands Derby too.I think it's actually 4th vs 6th, so it is an important result from a Leeds point of view. Dropped Melanie off at the local high school so she could catch the bus for All Region rehearsals and Elizabeth and Jacquelyn at the supermarket.
Leon Osman in the England squad? Interesting! How is a 31 year old part of future development? Isn't that the purpose of friendlies to give potential future internationals experience?
Into stoppage at the crisps and it is Desmond in the East Midlands Derby. All the goals were scored in the first half.A result that helps neither team. Leicester would stay 4th, while Forest would be 11th,but only one point outside a playoff place.

All eyes on Elland Road this afternoon as Leeds face a "Just Below Midtable 6 Pointer" against Watford. Leeds start in 15th, with Watford one point below. Three points needed today.
FSC is previewing the clash at Goodison. It's got to be a home win today for the Toffees, I reckon. Sunderland are pants.

GOP jokes are going around the local middle schools. One is :
Why did the GOP lose the Presidential election?
Don't know - why did they?
Blackburn take the lead vs Brum

UWS is playing golf in Charlotte. A GOP strategy session???

The same from The EM
Second halves starting up. It really can't get any worse at Elland Road. But I'm hoping for a titanic come-back by the ten men. Oh - and Sack Warnock!
Mignolet dos well to punch away a free kick, under pressure from fellow Belgian, Hair Bear.
A shot rom Heitinga was blocked, then pounced on by Mignlet.
Fulham back on the front foot again. They've never won at Arsenal, but they've certainly got a chance now.
Warnock has re-shuffled the pack in order to adjust for Pearce's loss. Tom Lees on for Paul Green.
Still - why is Becchio, our top scorer, on the bloody bench, Neil!?
Heitinga hha d aheader cleared off he line from a corner than Osman shot just wide.
Stoke have taken the lead through Charlie Adam.
Charlie Adam gives Stoke the lead vs Evil QPR
Ipswich take the lead vs Burnley.
Craig Mackail-Smith tied it up for Brighton at Wolves as Karl Henry has been sent off for Wolves. What a surpise.
The Ox is trudging off to be replaced by Coq au Vin. Not sure what the point of that change is.
Just wide by Theo off a nice one-two with Giroud.
Karl Henry is a right thug, isn't he?
Bury lead Pompey 2-0. UWS willnot be pleased.
Absolutely, BD!
Derby tie it up at Millwall.
Podolski is a chippy little sod - he seems to be able to get away with dozens of niggly little fouls without the ref taking any action.
Great run by kalsi micklicv, but poor cross. The Gunners counter and just ike Fulham, a poor final ball.
Ramsey's got a yellow now - Arsenal seem to be resorting to a bit of thuggishness.
Arsenal have a free kick chance now - Arteta over it.

Looks like a stone cold penalty there. Drac to take...
Stutter step and cool finish. 3-2!

That goal was from St. Mary's as Stton lead Swansea 1-0 and Wolves lead Brighton 2-1.
Oh - Theo had a chance to respond immediately - on the volley! Saved.
Actually, I think Kacanikilic scored Fulham's second. Drac is on a hat-trick.
GOAL! Giroud gets his brace at the second attempt!
3-3!
Giroud hits the Sunday roast with his first shot and then Theo chips one up for him to head home. It's great to see Arsenal finally find a proper target man.
Now it's Sagna who coughs up the ball. The Arsenal defenders are giving their side a really hard time.

Millwall lead Derby 2- and Balckpool have made it Desmond at Bolton.

SORRY BOB! Wartford lead 0-3 at ER!
Correct, BD. I will join you. Grea dediocation on your part.
Palace tie it up at Young Fergie.
Oh well - at this point, they might have well hit us for five. Interestingly, the lads on the Square Ball podcast were commenting that we hadn't been really tonked yet this season, despite playing really poorly in several matches. Well - here it is!
Theo's gimping off now - replaced by Arse Shaven.
SACK WARNOCK!
Too right, MUR - Sack Warnock now!
If we were to conceded two more goals today, we'd drop below Brum into 18th place.
Nearly into stoppage time now, and Fulham are still looking for that winning goal. Oh - Hangeland had a free head too!
Leeds score a consolation at ER.
TOO LITTLE TOO LATE.
Criikey - we've got one back! Michael Tonge - who's bang in form. His fourth goal of the season.
Ipswich regain the l;ead at Portman Road. Now lead 2-1.
The rain strts to poour ion Merseyside as they enter stoppage time.

Birghton take a late 2-3 lead at ER.
What a shower!
Stoke defeat QPR 1-0
WOW - what drama! Arsenal have a chance to win this through a late penalty! Phil Dowd has given it!
Very harsh on Fulham, that. But still - Arteta has a chance to win it for the Gunners.
LATE pen for arsenal as Riethe is called for handball from a cross by Arshavin.HArsh

I'm back with my lunch to enjoy the late one - United at Villa Park. What's your prediction today, MUR?
Welcome back, BD! UWS said to say sorry about ER and that Warnock will probably walk the plank. I predict United to win by one goal.

Nice attacking lineup and love the nicknames!
To be expected.
VCalencia has a shot deflected for a corner.
United straight onto the front foot through Valencia. First corner to United.
RVP heads straight to Guzan from ther corner.
Fletch has a tricky chance from the corner but it's easily held by Guzan, who's probably Villa's best player this season.
LUFC Academy factor today - +1 (Fab Delph)
A curler from Young is watched by the post by Guzan.
Just checked . Cooler weather finlly heading our way. Highs in the mid toupper 70s Monday through Thursday and Lows in the mid 50s to low 60s. ABOUT BLEEDIN' TIME.
United with all the early possession. Now Villa finally on the attack.
Scholesy's usual chop there - could have been into the book early doors.
It will be + 2 if Delph comes off the bench and Barry Bloody Bannon was on loan at ER.
Plenty of cool drizzly weather up here in WNY.
evra heads out the free kick from Bloody Bannon for a Villa corner , the Vlaar catches Evra on the back of the head.
Head tennis off the corner from Bannon, then Rio concedes another corner.
Villa retain possesion of the next corner.
The usual useless cross by Barry "Bloody" Bannan.
Change that drizzle to rain and send it our way please. Glad to see that we'll be receiving the cooler weather starting Monday
I claim no Leeds affiliation with Bannan - he wouldn't get into my pub side.
He caused us problems with the free kick off the foul from Scholes.
Useless by Young as Loughton, the ex Blade easily clears.
Is Bannon or Lichaj any worse than the side Warnock put out today?
Yes - if they'd been playing, it would have been 1-8 Watford.
Useless effort from Roon. and Villa counter. Bounces harmlessly to De Gea.
I am not so sure, BD. It never was when they played at ER.
Rio seems angry with the world.
