FA Cup 5th Round Live!
The world's greatest knock-out competition continues this morning. We start with a real corker - Luton, the non-league conquerors of the Premiership's Norwich City, face off against Evil Millwall. The last time these two met in 1985 there was an almighty ruck, a pitch invasion and bobbies on the pitch. Let's hope that all of the action today is about the football. Join me early doors for this one. And then hang in there for the 3pm GMT kick-offs, including Arsenal v. Blackburn. And then round off the day with Oldham v. Everton. See you then!

Right, then - no telly coverage of the early one, so I'm on this link:
http://www.firstrow1.eu/watch/169297/1/watch-luton-town-vs-millwall.html
The teams are in at Kenilworth Road:
Luton - Tyler, Taylor, Henry, Kovacs, Howells, Lawless, Smith, Mendy, O'Donnell, Rendell, Gray.
Millwall - Forde, Dunne, Beevers, Osborne, Lowry, Henry, Trotter, Abdou, Feeny, Hulse, Keogh.
Some significant ex-Leeds presence on the Evil Millwall side today. Me old mucker Rob Hulse is starting up front alongside recent loanee Andy Keogh. I hope they both get toe fungus, boils, and a nasty crotch rash.
Come on, the Hatters!
Fantastic - it's not a Cup tie unless you can see a tree above the main stand. What an atmosphere!
And we're away at Kenilworth Road. Come on, you Hatters!
Only five years ago, these two sides were playing at the same level - now they're 67 places apart. That tells you all you need to know about the catastrophic collapse of some traditional sides like Luton Town.
This one really brings me back to watching The Big Match on a Sunday afternoon. We just need Gerry Harrison commentating.
Oh - Andre Gray did really well to sneak around the right back Washburn and pulled a good save out of the Millwall keeper Forde.
Good morning , BD. How was your week? The morning coffee kicked in before I had any.
Definitely end to end stuff.A classic FA Cup tie.
Andy Keogh is jabbering at the ref now Lee Probert about how his ankles were clipped. His leg could be off and I still wouldn't give him a foul.
Morning, MUR - excellent week here. How about yours?
Kenny Jackett's getting a "warm" reception here at Kenilworth Road because of his relationship to Watford.
Very busy, BD. Glad to have a three day weekend. I hear you would like to fee Keogh to the Lions!
GOAL! A real howler at the back by Kovacs and Henry is able to round the keeper and pop in Evil Millwall's opener.
0-1!
BUGGER!!!! lUTON WERE CAUGHT SQUARE AS JAMES HENRY ROUNDED THE KEEPER AND EASILY GAVE MILLWALL THE LEAD.KOVACS WITH A HORRIBLE ERROR.
Wahay - nice one; I forget about President's Day because I never have it off. That'll be particularly nice as United play on Monday afternoon.
Definitely - I'd feed both Rob Hulse and Andy Keogh to the Lions.
In honor of Luton, UWS is in Bedfordshire.
That error could really sap the confidence of the non-leaguers.
Indeed - he's still enjoying the hospitality of the Luton Airport Day's Inn.
ANd Luton fans would feed Kenny Jackett to the Lions as both Luton and Watford were in the top flight in the 80s.
Luton win a corner off a deflected shot after one was initially blocked.
The corner from Lawless is easily caught by David Forde.
I'm wondering if Kenilworth is an all-seater stadium.
I am definitely pleased to be off for United's cup tie on Monday. I will be watching it.
I am not sure, I was watching the news show on FSC and they showed some low income housing connected to the stadium. The back yards are agaionst the stadium wall.
Great save by Forde from Nimney off a long Luton free kick
Oh - great save by Forde there from the big Luton striker.
The ground looks exactly the same as it did when I was watching matches there on telly in the 70s.
Forde catches a cross after a nice ball by Lawless. Similar to the move for the goal at Norwich
The same as It did when I watched matches in the late 70s and early 80s. Doesn't look like something that would be a top flight stadium.
I am watching the match on FSC+
But at the time I didn't notice how tiny it was - a lot of stadia pre-Hillsborough looked like that.
Nice one - I didn't know it was on the Plus. I'm on a not too dodgy link that says "ESPNHD" in the corner. But not on my ESPN or ESPN2.
We start really early tomorrow. Chelsea vs Brentford at 7 AM as it was three weeks ago.It will be 6 AM my time.
Not on mine either
The goal doesn't seem to have hurt Luton's confidence. If anything, it seems to have kick started them.
Luton certainly have some energy going forward, but the difference might be the lack of quality at the back.
The replay for the Millwall goal and Pual Buckle will not be pleased as it came off a goal kick from David Forde, tow Luton back headers, and an easy finish.Otherwise, Luton can't be faulted. A decent performance.
Headed over by Rob Hulse. Bob will be pleased that didn't go in.
Decent, acrobatic effort from Hulse. The center back did enough to put him off.
There defense must be somewhat decent. They kept clean sheets vs Norwich and Wolves.
I am pleased - I don't want Hulse to get a sniff. He's already done enough to flick on the header that led to the goal.
That is true - not sure how Norwich came away empty handed, on this display though.
Agreed, BD.
Kenny Jackett should not be allowed to wear a Jackett
One of the match balls has got stuck up in the stands.
Milwall have a corner. The corner from Henry is easily cleared and Luton are now on the attack
If that's your rule, it's a good thing his name isn't Kenny Trousers.
I would like it hoofed out of the stadium so it can smash the windows of one of those council houses attached to the stadium.
Shot well over by Smith
Absolutely, BD. I would be scarred for life. We all would.
Will you be around for the early 7 AM match tomorrow.Chelsea vs Brentford.
An evil start to the day as it is Evil Cardiff 0 Bristol City 0 in the Championship
The monotonous singing by the Luton was getting on my tits there so I had to turn the sound down. UWS would be angry at me.
GOAL! Me old mucker Rob Hulse with his first goal for Evil Millwall.
0-2!
BUGGER ! 0-2 MILLWALL AS A CROSS FROM HENRY WAS NOT CLEARED AND ROB HULSE HOOKED IT IN AT THE FAR POST FROM A DIFFICULT ANGLE.
I'm not sure Hulse knew a lot about that. He lobbed an overhead probably thinking that he was helping it back into the danger zone and it went straight over the keeper Tyler and in the corner.
Imagine the people in the council houses connected to the stadium having to listen to that monotonous singing.
Well - that's probably knocked the stuffing out of the non-league side before we've even reached the interval.
That was my opinion on the goal
That would be atrocious.
Andre Gray fouled near the corner flag and wins a free kick
The free kick was headed out then again and a foul was called. A Millwall player is down
The following matches are on at 10 AM:
Arsenal vs Blackburn - FSC
Fake Dons vs Barnsley- FSC +
Palace vs Middlesborugh- BEIN
That's a lot of Cup football for one day. The coverage back here in the States has gotten stellar.
The match on BEIN is a Championship match. The other two are cup matches,. so I will probably watch those.
Mendy concedes a Millwall free kick just outside the box.
The free kick from Henry is easily cleared. There will be three minutes of stoppage time
Hey Boys,
I am up
Sorry for the late entrance but had a long day yesterday
Took Jon to Cortland for Siblings Weekend. No problems there, Kathy and I took him. Went out to dinner and came home and arrived at 10:30. I let the dog out and he got sprayed by a skunk!
LONG NIGHT!
Those three minutes have just begun.
Coming to the end of a disappointing first half for the Hatters. After all of the build up this week, this one has gone to form.
I was on the BBC website and I saw an advertisement for a free preview week of FSC +
My channel doesn't come in
Good morning UWS. Sounds like a long day. Glad to have you around. We once had a dog sprayed by a skunk and it took forever to get rid of the smell.
Morning, Dave - sounds like you've been put the ringer. Good thing it was Shadow sprayed by the skunk and not you!
Luton blow a chance off a corner as Lawless fails to make the proper connection,. That could have put Luton back in this match
Halftime and Evil Millwall lead 0-2 at Kenilworth Road.
IT iS GOING TO BE TOUGH!
just looked it up
It is only for the following participating providers
AT&T, DirecTV, Verizon Fios, COX, RCN
bugger... no free preview for me
Sorry mate.
The second half is underway from Kenilworth Road.
I'm off for an early shower then. Back in a tick.
We're underway in the second half at Kenilworth Road now. No question - the home side have to roll the dice and go for it early on.
The two teams last met in League One in the 2008-2009 season. The previous season Luton were in the Championship.
Agreed, BD. Good to hear you are nice and squeaky clean
The announcer says it is 50 degrees. Definitely mild for this time of the year
BUGGER! Evil Cardiff lead Bristol City 1-0 at the half.
That is unfortunate. It looks pretty clear that Cardiff are going to run away with the Championship title this year. Two Welsh sides in the Prem - the first time that's happened?
Looks like Time Warner customers are frozen out of that deal.
Excellent - the Hatters pick up a cheap free kick. They can swing this one in to the big boys from the back.
Poor, shallow delivery on that free kick. That won't help anything.
Feeney's mouth gets him into the book.
Oh - Gray nearly got in there before the keeper. Forde did well to clear.
Back from a long trip to the loo. I was full of the same stuff as Millwall.
Andre Gray wins a corner and Kovacs heads just over from the corner by Lawless.
Correct, BD. Two Welsh have never been in the top flight in the same season.
Nodding off a bit now - need a Luton goal to liven things up.
Useless effort from Keogh. Bob must be pleased.
Poor cross from Lawless easily caught by Forde to end a promising attack from the Mad Hatters
An hour gone - time for some changes.
The ineffectual Leam Feeney coming off then.
James Henry with a cynical push on Taylor and fortunate not to be booked. Millwall make a change as Danny N'Guessan is on for Liam Feeney
A Luton goal would make things rather interesting
Luton make a change , bringing on a striker as Stuart Fleetwood is on for JJ O'Donnell.
Well over by James Henry. He has a goal and an assist.
Keogh nearly in - shame that Tyler didn't clean him out along with the ball.
A shot from N'Guessan is deflected as it broke to Keogh and Tyler was out to pressure Keogh to shoot well over.
I would have loved to have seen that
Millwall break with N'Guessan , but Luton clear.
Millwall marauding forward again now - they're enjoying themselves. I can't see Luton getting back in.
Another Luton change as Jon Shaw is on for Mendy. Another striker on too.
It sure doesn't seem that way
John Marwquis on for Rob Hulse. Feed him to the Lions!
Luton are all in now - the subs haven't really made a difference yet.
Hulse has done enough damage today. Get him off!
Rendell offside to end a long Luton possession.
A promising Luton attack is broken up by the linesman's flag.
This one seems to be done and dusted. Luton can be proud of their cup run. Perhaps that can transfer to their league form and inspire them to promotion back to the football league
Great save by Tyler from Keogh then Keoegh misses a sitter , heading wide from close range with a free header. Bob will be amused by that
Evil Cardiff now lead Bristol City 2-0
Taylor got free down the right away from James Taylor. Shame about the cross.
Luton win a corner.A good time to score.
The corner from Howells is headed away and Lawless shoots well wide.
Howells concedes a Millwall corner under a spell of pressure.
The corner is easily cleared.
Time's running out for the Hatters - they've been well and truly schooled by the Championship side today. But at least their home support have had a good day out - and a good Cup run this season.
Oh dear - that's 0-3. Liam Trotter bundles in another.
BUGGER!!!! 0-3 MILLWALL . TOO EASY AS MARK TYLER FUMBLED A SHOT AND N'GUESSAN EASILY FINISHED. IT WAS A TIRED LOOKING DEFENSE AS MILLWALL WALKED THEIR WAY TO THAT GOAL
Poor again from the defenders, particularly Howells who seemed to pull out of the challenge. The shot bounced off keeper Tyler and allowed Trotter to finish.
True, BD. The difference in quality has shown , but at least Luton put up enough of a fight to make sure that it was not by a cricket score.
Luton win a late corner.James Henry is replaced by Adam Smith. An economical change
The corner from Lawless is headed away, but Luton defend the Millwall counter
The last non league team to make the quarters was QPR in 1914. Luton will not emulate that feat.
Four minutes of stoppage time.
Miles wide by Stuart Fleetwood. Definitely out of tune.
Beavers booked for a foul on Fleetwood. A sour note.
The free kick from Howells is headed out for a corner.
A kick save from Forde as the corner broke out to Jon Shaw.Another corner. The corner and resulting cross from Howells were headed out
Andre Gray straight at David Forde.
Peep peep - the end of Luton Town's FA Cup dream. Evil Millwall go into the Quarter final draw.
That's it as Millwall easily win 0-3 and Millwall in the quarters for the first time since the run to the final
The match was put to Bedfordshire.
The announcer is calling Rob Hulse's goal a candidate for goal of the month. Poor by FSC and Bob will not be amused by that
Hey Boys
I am back from attempting to deskunkify!
Don't know how we are doing and how much I will be able to join in today!
LINE-UPS- Arsenal v Blackburn (1500 GMT)
Arsenal: Szczesny, Coquelin, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal, Diaby, Rosicky, Arteta, Gervinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud. Subs: Mannone, Sagna, Podolski, Wilshere, Walcott, Ramsey, Cazorla.
Blackburn: Kean, Orr, Dann, Grant Hanley, Martin Olsson, Pedersen, Williamson, Lowe, Markus Olsson, Kazim-Richards, Rhodes. Subs: Usai, Givet, Nunes, Nuno Gomes, Rekik, Goodwillie, Bentley.
Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral)
Good luck with the de-skunkifying, mate.
Bristol City have scored in stoppage time at Cardiff and now trail Cardiff 2-1.Too little too late as Evil Cardiff hold on to win 2-1 thanks to a brace from former Man Yoo trainee,Frazier Campbell.
Looks like a reasonably strong Arsenal side for the Cup tie v. Blackburn today at the Em. Next up on FSC.
I second that. We went through that with our previous dog. A lot of work.
I see that Liverpool host Swansea tomorrow on FSC+ while LUFC is knocking out Citeh
I knew of this game yesterday.. as I was trying to pass time while driving on the VERY BORING NYS Thruway, I was wondering why it was on. I don't remember them having a game postponed and there are no matches scheduled this week. I think I figured it out while ... this match is scheduled for the League Cup Final weekend... I checked it out.. I was right
Only two 3 o'clockers.. bummer
Got a SS link going
http://www.firstrow1.eu/watch/169292/1/watch-soccer-saturday.html
I have Soccer Saturday as my link. Arsenal vs Blackburn the big picture and the Fake Dons vs Barnsley the little picture.
Nice MUR
I was thinking the same about that EPL match, UWS. It makes perfect sense.
They're off from the Em .
We're away at the Emirates. The Cup isn't really the priority for the Arsenal this season, but Wenger won't want to throw away a chance at the quarter-finals of the Cup either.
Ta, UWS. Palace vs Middlesbrough on BEIN, but that one won;t be watched as this is Cup Saturday
Agreed, BD. Not sure why they haven't kicked off at MK.
Rovers had a chance there!!
Oh - early free kick in and The Ox struggles to clear. Good chance for one of the Olsson twins - Martin. Whiffed it at the backpost.
Volleyed wide by Olsson as Blackburn start out the better team and they finally kick off at MK.
A chance for Luke Chadwick for the Fake Dons and well wide,.
Coventry take the lead at Bury
Billy Davies back in charge of Forest twenty months after they sacked him!
Barnsley take the lead at MK Dons
Barnsley take the lead at the Fake Dons as they were caught out by a routine long ball and Chris Dagnall finished easily past the keeper.
The Blades take the lead vs Colchester
Classic Merse. Hull City have three Egyptians in the squad so Merse stated that will be needed to climb the football pyramid.
Luton gone
MK Dons losing
All the little boys going to go out tamely
If they were drawn against a big un they could win.. these teams lose to teams they should have more of a chance to beat
Hand ball called and Arsenal have a free kick by the corner flag
Nice one from the Merse.
The free kick headed wide by Abu Diaby as Orient take the lead at Hartlepool. Jeff is not pleased.
Rangers take the lead at Clyde in a Glasgow Derby as they are clear by 22 points.
Gervinho is taken out by Orr - yellow card.
Palace take the lead vs Middlesbrough while Dundee United take the lead at Celtic.
Leeds are now down to 12th as the other Championship matches have kicked off today.
Jayne Mansfield take the lead vs Cambridge.
Palace take the lead through Glenn Murray in the 9th minute. I'd prefer a score draw in that match with Boro.
Celtic tie it up vs Dundee United
Rosicky has a couple of bites at the cherry to cross in but Arsenal didn't have an eager runner there in the center. Giroud needs to attack those.
Two consecutive Arsenal corners. Abe Lincoln takes the lead at Hereford Cow. That's no bull!
Cambridge must be dazzled by Jayne's knockers.
Kos heads wide from the corner.
Too much and too hot to handle for Cambridge.
I winder if UWS smells another goal on the horizon.
A chance for Barnsley to increase their lead , but they shoot over with just the keeper to beat. Chris K sounds hung over.
that's a low blow MUR
I'm not sure that UWS is smelling anything else but skunky dog hair at this point. What a pong!
Monreal wins a corner for Arsenal.Hereford Cow tie i up vs Abe Lincoln. That's no bull!
Good ball over from The Ox but well over Giroud.
Arsenal win another corner.
You're a roll, MUR. Keep up the naming.
Sorry UWS.
Oxford Shirt take the lead at Argyle Sweater
James Constable with the Oxford goal making it perfectly legal.
Shame - I'll take that sweater over the shirt any day.
Preston, eleven home games with out a win , take the lead vs league leaders, Bournemouth
