Another Big Weekend in the Premiership Starts Here!
Morning, lads - I'm here in The Cottage getting set up for another big Premiership weekend. I'll admit it - I chose a lie-in with the missus rather than an early Championship wake-up with Boro v. Derby. But I'm looking forward to watching Chelski v. Hull at 10am EST followed by Arsenal v. Newcastle at 12:30pm. Join me for all the action here on the LOB!

I'm back with the usual Blue Devil brekkies of a bagel and a cuppa. Watching Rebecca and the Two Robbies as they set up the big match.
I am here
Not sure of the duration but I am here
Welcome, mate - how are you, today?
Not bad. I was up early taking Tom to the airport. He is on his way to Denver to watch the Nuggets. He is meeting our friends
Petr Cech makes a rare start this morning. I didn't recognize him when he was being interviewed a moment ago, not because he hasn't been in the side - but because he didn't have his trademark helmet on!
What match are you going to watch
Chelsea bore me
I may turn on the Hammers
Nice weekend for Thomas!
Probably just watch the Chelski match. Here's the team news:
Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Luis, Matic, Mikel,
Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Costa. Subs: Zouma, Ramires, Drogba,
Schurrle, Remy, Schwarzer, Azpilicueta.
Hull: McGregor, Elmohamady, Dawson, Davies, Chester, Robertson,
Meyler, Livermore, Huddlestone, Jelavic, Aluko. Subs: Rosenior,
Bruce, Hernandez, Brady, Jakupovic, Ramirez, Quinn.
Referee: Chris Foy (Merseyside)
Boro beat Derby this morning to jump ahead of Derby and Ipswich to go top of the Championship.
Ipswich can go top with a win a Bolton
He booked the flight and was going to meet Dick and Jason in Denver but after he looked what his flight was... he was booked to fly in to Charlotte!! He's on their same flight.
He arrived in Charlotte already.. an HOUR EARLY!!
Good morning Bob and UWS. I ha d a late lie in and feel relly well rested.
Welcome MUR
Millwall won 0-1 at Brighton in the Friday night Championship match while Queen of the South defeated Rangers 2-0 in the Friday Scottish Championship match
Cheers, UWS. I will not be around for the late match because we will be having Jacquelyn's birthday party.
Morning, MUR! How are you this morning, mate?
Is that the Dick who used to live near you guys in Glenville?
Still don't know what I am going to watch
I have no idea but one of the channels isn't HD and the rest are! The City match is on that one... it is a smaller screen. Won't watch that one
Great. Thanks for asking How are you, Bob?
Chelski to get us underway.
Yup
You swam in their pool. They've been in Charlotte for a while now. We are going down there again a couple days after Xmas
They're off from The Bridge.
I'm still trying to get over this nagging cold. I'm two weeks in and have been working through it. Considering going in to the doc on Monday and getting some proper drugs to wipe it out.
So, Jose says Torres is definitely NOT coming back to Chelsea. He said that Torres has a two year loan deal at Milan and that it's Milan's problem if they don't want him.
Of course I've got one eye on the match at Elland Road. It's Leeds v. Fulham - two really rubbish sides. We'll be looking for all three points today.
I have this WhatsApp on my iPhone that I can text my family in England... it is great.
Sending pictures, video and audio!
Just texted my mate from Worlington, Bruno.
I told him I had a choice of any game. He said what a change from me following on the World Service... boy what memories!
Bournemouth warm up for Liverpool with an early goal against Cardiff
Felipe Luis with neither here nor there at the end of a decent move.
It will be a tough one for Leeds in a return to ER for Ross. Fulham have climbed the table since sacking Felix Magath.
I bet you Chris Kamara is a the Bridge today
I saw him in the background when NBC were in the tunnel
I hope Liverpool warm up for Bournemouth by letting in an early goal against United and then do the same against the Cherries.
Which one is Bruno, mate?
I missed that. eagle eyes UWS.
Chelski are all over Hull from the off here.
Bournemouth rise to the second spot behind Boro with that early goal.
Bob's Argyle takes an early lead at Northants.
I am expecting the Blues to feat on Tiger Meat. I saw Jose licking his chops.
I still can't imagine the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford in the Premiership next season - I don't even think they're grounds are up to regulation. What a nonsense!
I still don't get all the Leeds players that have left Elland Road and done NOWT
Ross Mac, Becchio and Beckford... why leave?
GOAL !!!! A HAZARD FOR THE TIGERS AS LITTLE EDEN SCORES WITH A FREE HEADER. a GREAT CROSS FROM OSCAR.
What's a nonsense? Them making the Prem or their grounds?
I was right, Chris K is at the Bridge... Chelsea take the lead!!
GOAL! Hazard takes advantage of Hull's stopping playing. Hazard was alone to nod home from Oscar's cross.
The first Prem goal of the day
Brum take lead against Reading
Both - there are so many big sides in the Championship and Brentford are going to take a spot? Ridiculous!
Now Dawson is in trouble. Brucie's not having a happy Saturday so far.
Somehow, I think Brentford and Bournemouth will fall just short in their promotion bids. I still admire them for punching well above their weight.
I guess I don't want Sotton or West Ham to win today so United can stay in third
I'm not even sure that was a foul by Obi Wan.
It's Brucie, Jr. on for Dawson now.
Brucey's son is on for Michael Dawson.
I agree, UWS.
Curtis Davies with a kung fu effort on John Terry.
I know that the Europa League winners get a Champions League place. I was searching around and I think it has been decided that EL or CL winner will NOT take the the place of the fourth spot in league
Agreed, Bob. Matic won the ball in midfield and the Tigers stopped playing thinking there was a foul and paid the price by conceding a goal.
Palace take the lead
I suppose I'd be full of admiration for Bournemouth and Brentford if Leeds weren't underperforming this season.
Guess I am watching the wrong match
Livermore tries a pop on the half volley bad slices it horribly wide.
Correct UWS. I think they make an adjustment elsewhere. It's a little complicated to explain.
Young Fergie takes the lead at Orient.
Stoke tie it up immediately
Crouchie
You'll have to give us a Jozy Altidore update, mate. A rare start for the big Yank today.
Crouchie's on fire these days - wonder why?
UWS will not be pleased that Accrington Stanley have taken the lead at Fratton Park.
Pompey fall behind at home to Accrington
Playing for a new contract? All the action seems to be at Selhurst PArk.
Brum are 2-0 up on Reading now.
I heard that the draw for the knockout rounds of the CL and EL is Monday at Noon CET.
Fatty picks up the first yellow for a late one on Oscar.
Fatty booked for pushing his weight on Wee Oscar. What a bully!
McGregor punches out a good delivery.
Brum two up
Do you guys have stupid pics at the bottom of this window with numbers saying to prove we're not robots?
Pompey two down!!!
Because I know you're curious - the Leeds line-up today:
Silvestri, Byram, Pearce, Cooper, Warnie, Bianchi, Cook, Mowatt, Adryan, Doukara, Antenucci.
A fairly settled side.
Sorry about Pompey.
A Stanley aren't resting it before the replay with Yeovil to take on United
It's Ross McCormack's first return to Elland Road since his sale this summer. Hope he doesn't have any big ideas for today.
Yes. I do. I am stupid if I have to prove I'm not a robot.
Morecombe take the lead against Luton in the Eric Morcombe Cup
Pompey get a goal back
Pompey pull one back vs Accring Stanley.
PLAY UP POMPEY!
Nice One, UWS!
Bob's new favorites Brentford take the lead against Blackburn
Brentford take the lead vs Blackburn
well over by Sone Aluko on a rare Tigers attack as his shot went halfway to Griffin Park.
The other team hoping to take on United in the Cup, Yeovil, take the lead at Oldham
Reading get a goal back at St. Andrews
Damn... i turn it over from SoL and I miss a Sunderland goal
Ex Red Richardson gets a Red Car for Villa at WBA
Reading tie it up at Brum.
Who scored for Fred's Black Cats.
Watford take the lead at home to Wigan the day Sir Elton is there opening up his new stand
Jordi Gomez from the spot
Apparently, a rubbish decision
I wonder if Bob would be interested in Fernando Torres moving to ER.
David Meyler booked for handball off a rare Hull corner. A stupid way to pick up a yellow card.
Rumors say Torres going to Anfiled
Brum get their two goal lead again against Reading
Scramble in the Burnley box... Sotton fail to get it in
Diego Costa wins a corner off a nice run and pass from Ivanovic.
Wrong way around Burnley fail to get it in in the Sotton box
Blackpool take the lead at the Valley
I think the Saints bubble has burst
The Real Dons take the lead at Dick York.
Yeovil two up at Oldham
Both United could be opponents winning away from home... I'm worried.... we did lose at MK
West Ham tie it up
Downing with a decent effort with a slight deflection
We were a different team back then. It's hard to say and will LVG take the Cup seriously?
Everyone on the SS panel predicted 1-1 at SoL.. they all want it to end now
Willian is booked for a horrible dive.
Hibs take the lead vs Alloa.
I AM NOT A ROBOT!
That young bloke, 16 or 17, who came on for Sotton just before RVP scored the winner had a horror challenge and gets booked... then he was tackled and has had to go off hurt
Desmond has been invited in to Fratton Park
Good comeback Pompey
Desmond at Fratton PArk!
Ipswich still drawing nil nil... they need a win to go top
Didn't United score the winner right after he came on? he's not exactly a lucky charm for the Saints.
Yup... right at the free kick
The announcer said that Hull City have not had more than two shots on target in any of their last six matches. As a former striker you must be really unimpressed by that.
I thought so. Eagle Eyes form Yours Truly on Monday.
I am still so annoyed about United's display at St. Marys.... they were awful
Herrara, Young and Felani each passed square directly to the opposition in the middle of the field.. Felani's caused the goal... so bad
I'm back, lads. Sorry about that. My dad had a nasty fall last night and I wanted to check in to make sure he's okay. He's resting comfortably with the match on in the background.
A horrible misunderstanding between Curtis Davies and Young Brucey, but the manager's son cleared just before Costa could cash in.
Refreshing to see Palace and Stoke both wearing their regular shirts even though they are both stripes
I'm reading your comments now. Not interested in El Nino at Elland Road.
I am really sorry to hear that. Is the Gooner with him. I wish him a speedy recovery and a Gunner's victory today
Crouch almost with an OG
Cahill booked for a nasty challenge on Aluko.
Sending him our thoughts
I thought I'd ask. Perhaps he can score in the Championship. Not doing it in Serie A.
Gooner was with him last night and will watch the big one tomorrow morning with him. I'm looking forward to seeing him over the hols.
Into the wall by Jelavic.
Do you mean the Pub match?
Yeovil three up
Agreed, Bob.
Still 0-0 at Elland Road.
City have taken the lead
Lamps with the goal
Hee Hee. The Little Neviller was really cheeky. Fortunately, Pool are even more of a pub side this season. I think we can beat them tomorrow.
Charlton tie it up vs Blackpool.
The Orient Express tie it up vs Young Fergie.
Watch Pool turn the corner tomorrow!!!
The Fake Dons take the lead at PNE
Crikey - I've just noticed that Brum are 3-1 up now. Loads of goals in the Championship today.
Bob will be pleased that Argyle have gone two up at Northants.
Rochdale are three up at Colchester,
Like to see City wearing their regular shirts too
Both teams at the Walkers wearing blue.... good for them
Bournemouth two up
Great football according to Paul Walsh
They could be top if they get another goal... if Ipswich don't win
Leeds only have had two chances
Brucey's Tigers are still in the match as they are only one down. Two minutes of stoppage time.
Sigh...we're just not good enough.
According to the BBC, Bournemouth are already top
1 Bournemouth 39
2 Boro 39
3 Derby 38
4 Ipswich 38
5 Brentford 37
6 Watford 35
then a four point gap
I don't see Pool turning the corner unless they run into an ice patch on a curve
Brum have leapfrogged us into 16th place - we're down to 17th now.
COME ON YOU TRACTOR BOYZ!
Off the top just like that... Cardiff get a goal
Back on top again... Bournemouth go back up by two again!!!
Chelsea are unimpressively one up at the half.
Altidore should have scored from five yards!!!
Trips over himself
Richard Burton Albion are one up vs Jeff's Team while Eric Morecambe go tow up vs Luton.
Wigan tie it up at Vicarage Road
Blackburn tie it up at Brentford
That table I posted changes every second!
Blackburn tie it up at Brentford.
Brum are now 4-1 ahead vs the Reading Railroad.
Brum four one up
Back on at Stamford Bridge for the second half now. Hull did a reasonable job staying in the match after that early Hazard strike. Can they build on that?
I am back from a refreshing shower.
The Tigers learned that if they stop playing that it will be a Hazard for them
HEE HEE! Jeff's team are two down at Richard Burton.
Glad to hear that you're squeaky clean for the second half, mate. Well done!
Young Fergie go 1-2 up at Orient.
Norwich go two up vs Hudders . Two quick strikes.
Oh - decent move there from Hull leads to Livermore a whisker away.
Bournemouth now 3-2 up over Cardiff.
Ta, Bob. It's a surreal day today. We are having Jacquelyn's birthday party today , but it's also the 6th anniversary of my dad's passing away, also on a Saturday. A sign that life has mixed fortunes?
Brum 5-1 up vs Reading. They've rediscovered their home form since replacing Lee Clarke with Gary Rowett.
Brum are running riot - 5-1 up at St. Andrew's now.
The Canaries are now 3-0 up over Hudders. Loads of goal and big scorelines.
The Canaries three up vs Hudders. What a halftime talk!
Sorry boys I have to sign off.. have some errands to run
Bob will be pleased about a new song. Fleetwood Mac one up vs the Evil Blades.
Cheers UWS. Hope to see you around for the early one tomorrow.
Young Brucey booked for cleaning out Willian.
What's going on now? I missed the incident but Brucie, Jr. has picked up a yellow. Yeah - he went straight through Willian. Don't know why he was upset.
That's got to be the new Fleetwood Mac hit - "We Dulled the Blades!"
Diego Costa booked for diving. I thought he went down really easily.
BOOM BOOM! Really dulled as they are losing at the smallest town in the Football League!
More goals in the Championship - Brentford 2-1 up and Charlton 2-1 up over Blackpool.
OUCH!!!!FATTY SENT OFF FOR PUSHING HIS WEIGHT ABOUT AFTER HE STAMPED ON FELIPE LUIS. Surely, That's it for the Tigers,
Fatty is off!
Really nasty stamp on Felipe Luis. He already had a yellow but that's a straight red and a half.
What on earth was Fatty thinking about? Brucie must be livid!
A three match vacation for Fatty to dine in on some holiday goodies.I think her's not available till New Years Day.
Not a lot going on at Leeds. We're still at 0-0.
Handball by James Chester?
Would you consider that a decent result at ER? The Cottagers are currently one of the in form sides.
Fulham take the lead at ER. Sorry Bob.
BUGGGGERRRRR!
Rodallega has fired Fulham into the lead at Elland Road.
Straight down to 19th, only five points above the dropzone now.
Robbie Brady on for Sone ALuko. Rodallega with the goal at ER.
The Bees Knees have it as Brentford lead Blackburn 3-1.
My new favorites Brentford are now 3-1 up - sigh....
Watford tie it up vs Wigan.
We desperately need an equalizer now.
Brum lead Reading 6-1
More agricultural challenging from Chester. Hull seem to be trying to kick their way back into this match.
Did you see the comment about my dad at 11:09? He passed away around this time. I'm glad to have you around.
6-1 Brum! Cor!
