Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The FA Cup Third Round

A great looking draw made this afternoon and some club up near Hull... The first name out of the bag... the holders... second... the Finalist! A repeat of last year's Final straight off the bat.
Blyth Spartans host Birmingham, Dover host Crystal Palace and Gateshead visit WBA.
Accrington Stanley/Yeovil winner host Manchester United. Leeds travel to Sunderland for a repeat of the '73 Final.

I'll swap draws with you, mate? Acrrington or Yeovil - you're having a laugh!

Tough one for us - I don't predict a long cup run.

The first two teams out of the hat played in the final in May. Who would have thought that? Will Not a Big Club be hit for seven at Citeh again? The tie of the round appears to be the Toffees vs the Hammers. Sorry Bob. The repeat of the '73 final looks to be the full Monty yet again. I am happy with United's draw. I am really interested to see how the non league clubs will fare. Four have made it to the Third Round and three others may join them.
