Good afternoon, Bob. I think Liverpool need to defeat Basle Brush by two or more goals. BOOM BOOM, BRENDAN!
Hey Boys
I am home in the rain and freezing rain for the match
Liverpool have started at Anfield. All they have to do is win the match. I don' t think goals have anything to do with it
Basel Brush have 7 points and Liverpool have 5
A win would overtake them
The Arse take a very early lead in Turkey.. Podolski with a nice finish from an acute angle
Liverpool
Liverpool are FS1 while Real are on FS2
The Reds have not come out all guns firing!
Not sure what I want to happen here. I always want the English sides to go thru and I want to keep them busy in Europe in the Spring. A Europa League spot would be nice and annoying for them
I also don't want their tails up for Sunday
Arsenal are two up!!
They could finish first if Dortmund draw and they win by SIX!!
Ramsey with the Gunners second
Apparently, Gala should have tied it up just a couple minutes earlier
Basil Brush giving it a shot here
Sterling with a chance of a shot on the right side the box but elected to pass it back to Gerrard but it was a poor pass
The Swiss are almost dominating
GOAL... Basel take the lead in front of the Kop.... it has been deserved!!
Nice tidy finish into the right corner of the net
Real have taken the lead against Ludo which means that the loser of this match would go into the EL
No points for picking out the Real scorer... Ronny from the Spot!
HE SHOULD STILL BE AT OLD TRAFFORD!
Sterling with a weak shot after a decent move from a throw in
Liverpool almost go to down... Enrique with a saving tackle
Afternoon, guys - I'm just back from a long and tedious meeting. Have the Liverpool match up through Fox Sports 2 Go.
Ruddy Norah... the Arse are THREE NIL up
A corker by Ramsey... his brace
Three more and they would win the group!!
Hey Bob... welcome
Struth... that should have bee two nil to the Swiss... a bloke was wide open at the back post... he tries a volley... head it or bring it down!
GOAL
Galatasaray 0-3 Arsenal - Aaron Ramsey
Posted at 29 mins
They do not come much better than this strike.
A corner into the box is routine and cleared by the lacklustre home defence who begin to jog out as Aaron Ramsey unleashes a vicious , left-foot volley from 35 yards.
It is like a missile, blitzing through the air into the top corner as Bolat dives and waves it goodbye. Ramsey laughs as he celebrates. Even he can't have expected that.
Liverpool have created nothing!!!!
Sterling breaks forward but fails to connect with the pass
Could have been two nil... shot blocked
Bale has doubled Real's lead
Hello UWS. That is correct. For some reason, I thought Liverpool were three points behind, but it was two at kickoff. I see that they are one down, so now they need two.
Liverpool are trying their best to play like United did last night!!!
And the Saints too . They are in the wrong Fonte.
Hiya MUR
I have a class about to start , but I will try to check in before the match ends.
Take care
Ball in the Pool net again but it was called back for offside... it was the correct decision
Johnson has a chance for a dangerous cross but misses Lambert by a mile
That's it
Half time
Not good for the Pool
Basel deservedly take their lead into the locker room
What a goal by Ramsey... half volley from 35+ out.... screamed into the top left of the goal!!!
Hi again - it's been one thing and another this afternoon. Just when I got back into the office, a bloody student came by and bent my ear for half an hour.
Looks like contrasting fortunes for the English sides this afternoon. Liverpool trail and look headed for the Europa League, where they probably belong.
Arsenal are cruising it at Gala but still need either three more goals in the second half or for Anderlecht to get something at Dortmund in order to take over the top spot.
Two substitutions for Brendan Rogers at the interval. Lambert off for Markovic and Jose Enrique off for Moreno.
We're off for the second half...the Kop in good voice trying to suck the ball in the net
Liverpool get us going in the second half.
Markovic has a fast start, streaking down the wing. The cross eventually falls to Gerrard who skews his volley wide.
Welcome back
Thanks for repeating everything I already post!!!
SUBSTITUTION
Liverpool 0-1 Basel
Posted at 20:45
Chasing two goals, Liverpool have taken off their only striker Rickie Lambert. He is replaced by Lazar Markovic, while Alberto Moreno replaces Jose Enrique at left-back. False nine time?
Looks like a false nine, yesh.
Wonder where Borini is... not even on the bench
Liverpool are really missing that spark up front with Suarez and Sturridge around.
Borini is pants.
In Group A, Atletico look destined to top the group and Juventus will likely join them in second spot. It's 0-0 there.
In Group B, Real are running away with things. Liverpool will need a real turnaround here in order to pip Basel for second.
If it stays this way, Liverpool will be busy Thursday nights!
It's much tighter in Group C, where it's 0-0 in both matches. Leverkusen are hanging on to a slender lead at the top but Monaco or Zenit could overturn them with a win today.
Pool have created nowt
The weather matches the mood at Anfield.
Basel backing off now but I agree with you that Liverpool don't have the creativity to break them down.
Who will win at OT on Sunday morning.. both teams are useless!
Gary Nev said it would be a match between pub sides
LVG wasn't happy with that comment
Struth... almost #2
Nice comment from The Neviller.
It's just got worse - Markovic is off!!!
RED CARD
Markovic is off for a tackle... didn't see it
It was finger in the eye
Silly boy - that was a ridiculous challenge.
Dortmund have scored through Immobile to just about secure top spot in Group D. Not a good minute there for the English. Arsenal won't relish going up against the likes of Real or Bayern in the knock-out rounds.
Dortmund are winning so Arsenal won't be able to win the group even if they get three more
Again, a goal can change everything
Liverpool are not out of this
Someone on the BBC hopes Rodgers doesn't use the red card as an excuse... Liverpool have been poor
Gerrard breaks... keeper comes out... no pen
Good decision... the keeper got the ball and then it rebounded off Stevie's foot
That would have been a pen and red
How the tides could have turned
Oh - that was the moment. Gerrard streaked on to a ball through from Sterling and seemed to be upended by the keeper. No - good decision from the ref not to give the pen.
Coutinho on for Lucas
This is what The Nev said
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville says his ex-club's game against Liverpool on Sunday could be "like the Dog and Duck versus The Red Lion".
I would prefer The Walnut Tree vs Judes Ferry
Moreno picks up a yellow for blocking off Gonzalez. So that's one red and one yellow for Brendan's half-time subs.
Just over ten minutes to go for Liverpool to get a miracle or it is Thursday Night and Sunday Football for the Reds
I'm betting on Sunday and Thursday night footer for the Reds.
Love the reactions

Sterling draws an excellent free kick just outside the area with a brilliant run.
Classic Brucie!
Liverpool fans praying for a Gerrard special.
And it is!!!!
Liverpool are back in it!
1-1!
WHAT A GREAT FREE KICK!!!!
GERRARD BRINGS THEM BACK!!
ABSOLUTELY UPPPER NINETY!!!
Still time?
I wanted to delay my comment in case you're behind
Looks like you're up with the time
Swiss free kick easily saved
I would say about 10 min total to go
That free kick was only Liverpool's third shot on target tonight... that's how many United had last night
Sterling wins a corner to the roaring approval of the Kop End.
Gerrard kicks it right out of play... not your best Steve
Rubbish corner this time from Gerrard.
Balo with a silly hat on.
Better than Rooney's last night though
Mini makes a save from a decent shot
Mignolet keeps the shot out and his team alive.
The Swiss keeping possession... has a shooting chance... shanked it
oooh, a cross into Henderson... just deflected...saved
Oh - nearly an own goal there, just clawed out by the keeper.
Crikey - it's Walter Samuel coming on. He must be 40!
Real score a third
Arbelo with the third
Great saving tackle
Corner if they ever get over the injuries
I really don't want them on the up for Sunday!!
Why didn't Hendo hit that one
Another corner as Henderson's shot is deflected out.
Gerrard scythes over this time.
4 added minutes
Arbeloa has added a fourth for Real. They look scary.
Useless control by Henderson and Basel break... almost in.... they didn't corner flag it!
Skrytl just wide
And Wesley Sneijder has got one back for Gala.
two to go
Great strike by Henderson.. saved
Oh - what a strike by Henderson! Parried away.
exciting end
Liverpool have been crap all night until that goal
Pump it up!
One more attack?
Juve and Atletico have finished at 0-0. Cynical stuff from them.
Weak effort by Sterling and that is it
And that's that - Basel progress and Liverpool get dumped into Thursday night EL footie.
That's it for me, mate. I'm off home.
so, Liverpool in the EL and will still be busy in the Spring
Hopefully they will have a hangover on Sunday
United to pour on the misery for the Merseysiders!
I'm off to get ready for college
