Midweek Premiership Madness!
With all the political news of the past few days, I almost forgot that there is a full slate of Premiership and Championship matches on today. I'll likely be interrupted but I'm going to try to watch a bit of it from my office vantage point. On tap are Arsenal v. Soton, United v. Stoke and many, many more. Drop on by for cuppa, eh?

Afternoon, chaps. Here's some of the team news percolating this afternoon:
Matteo Darmian and Michael Carrick return for the home side. Stoke, a promising season suddenly over in the last week, keep Xherdan Shaqiri on the bench.
Alexis Sanchez makes his first start in two months for the Gunners. James Ward-Prowse returns to a Saints team coming off the back of a win at Old Trafford.
Here we go then! The games at Arsenal, Leicester, Norwich, Sunderland and West Ham are underway! Here’s to a few good old-fashioned goalfests.
Well, that was quick. Delli Alli has fired Spurs into the lead at Carrow Road.
It’s been a bright start for Southampton at Arsenal, with Ward-Prowse curling a long-range free-kick dipper towards the bottom right. Good save by Cech, as usual.
The matches at Selhurst Park, Old Trafford and the Hawthorns are about to kick off.
Okazaki should have put Leicester a goal up against Liverpool. Vardy crosses from the left, perfectly onto his strike partner’s nut, six yards out. But Okazaki heads straight at Mignolet.
Ozil has come close to opening the scoring at the Emirates. Zipping into the area down the inside-left channel, he takes a ball dropping over his shoulder down with one gorgeous touch, but shoots straight at Forster.
Good afternoon. I have a tedious meeting to attend, so I'm not sure if I will be able to join you.
Hiya, MUR - I feel your pain. I've been in a series of tedious ones already this week.
I'm home now and looking forward to the second half from Anfield. 0-0 so far. No changes to either side. Jon Champion and Chris Waddle on the mic.
In the other matches, Harry Kane has added a penalty goal for Spurs.
Citeh are 0-1 up at Sunderland. Aguero with his 13th goal of the season. My GBB boy is catching up with Vardy and The Chunk.
You boys should be happy today - United are 2-0 up through goals from Lingard and Kung Fu Panda.
Palace and Bournemouth are locked at 1-1 at half time. Dann and Pugh on the scoresheet there.
GOAL OF THE SEASON!!!!!
Vardy with a fabulous strike - wow!
1-0!
Kate is appalled by the sight of Roy Hodgson's atrocious "trophy wife" with huge puffed up collagen lips.
That goal will be shown again and again. It was all about confidence. He didn't even think to bring it down - it was just instinctual. Hit it. Boom!
West Ham have taken the lead against Aston Villa through Antonio.
Klopp has thrown Benteke on in response to that goal.
Oh - Leicester should have had a penalty there for sure. Andre Marriner disagrees.
Leicester are in full flow now. Great stuff from the Foxes.
Rooney has added a third goal for United - has LVG turned over a new leaf?
GOAL! Vardy again!
2-0!
A bit jammy. Okazaki's pass was deflected into his path and he made no mistake.
Can coming off and Paul Allen coming on.
Afobe has added a second goal for Bournemouth who now lead Palace 1-2.
Arsenal are still locked at 0-0 with Soton at home. They're really wasting their opportunity to solidify their top fourth spot. Not good for the Gunners.
Spurs have leapfrogged Arsenal into third. Citeh are second, a point behind Leicester now.
Gary McAllister, Elland Road legend, in the stands tonight
Siggy has fired Swansea into the lead at the Hawthorns. WBA really could use this one.
Ulloa is coming on now, sparing Mahrez.
Arsenal have been pressing against Southampton. But Sanchez, in a bit of space in the box to the left of goal, is denied by Forster, a fine block.
Kouyate has added a second goal for the Hammers, and they're over the hills and far away now.
Kane has scored another for Spurs against the hapless Norwich. If Sunderland and Villa weren't so rubbish, they'd be in real trouble.
Leicester wrap up their win and now it's over to the Emirates. Arsenal are throwing everything at the Saints now. Forster has had a great night.
And that's that. Arsenal drop two points and the Em faithful are booing the side off. They're not happy with a 0-0 against Soton.
Now over to the Etihad. Citeh are hanging on to a slim 0-1 lead.
Time's up there - Citeh win and go second.
Now we're over to Selhurst Park - this coverage is bewildering.
Oh - Boruc keep the Cherries in this one, as Chamakh produces a decent header.
Louis Graban coming on now for Bournemouth to try to shore this one up.
Puncheon tries one at the near post but Boruc smothers. it.
Grabbing picks up a yellow for time=wasting.
Oh - Adebayor, the debutante, hits the side-netting after a great cross from Zaha.
Here’s Jamie Vardy on his wonder goal against Liverpool: “To be honest I was looking all game, because he was quite far off his line.” Oh Mr Mignolet!
The Cherries are corner flagging it now - this will be a priceless away win for them.
And that's that. I'm off for a nap, lads. Enjoyed the football this afternoon. Cheerio!
