The FA Cup Semifinal Draw and an Important Monday Night Football Match
It's an interesting Monday that begins with the draw for the FA Cup semis at 3:20 PM EDT followed by a key Monday night football match as the Foxes , who continue to surprise us all by topping the table, host second from bottom Newcastle United.Kickoff is at 4 PM EDT. Toon addressed the issue by sacking Wally in a Brolly on Friday and replacing him with the more respected Raffa Benitez, who himself, was recently sacked by Real. Will the Spaniard, who has a successful track record be able to make an instant impact by getting an upset result at the league leaders or will it be as stated on the link of the above where it stated that Raffa Benitez starts with tricky fixture that will likely end in defeat? You will have to watch to determine what unfolds

Afternoon, MUR - thanks for getting us going on an all-important evening.
I'm still upset that the semis are at Wembley; it diminishes the final.
This is a it of a unique semi-final draw in that there’s no team everyone wants to avoid, and no team everyone wants to get.
Good afternoon, mate. I'm glad to enjoy the pleasure of your company. Are you following on the BBC site?
Agreed. The winner of the replay at Upton Park is the highest ranked team remaining in the competition. The most recent winner of the remaining teams ins United in 2004 while the most recent finalist was Everton in 2009 , losing to Chelsea, but they rectified that on Saturday
The draw numbers are :
1. Palace
2. Everton
3. Watford
4. United/ Da Hammers
Fab Cap and Di Canio doing Prem commentary on Italian television. A must see for our Bob?
I'm just following the Guardian live blog. I've got the office door open, so I don't want to disturb anyone.
Palace vs Watford
Everton vs the Hammers or United
The teams for the match:
Leicester City XI: Schmeichel; Simpson, Huth, Morgan (c), Fuchs; Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton; Okazaki, Vardy.
Newcastle United XI: Elliot, Janmaat, Taylor, Lascelles, Colback, Sissoko, Anita, Shelvey, Perez, Wijnaldum, Mitrovic
Jonjo Shelvey will skipper the Toon in Raffa's first match in charge
Very imbalanced draw, me thinks. It assures that you've got at least one weak side (Palace or Watford) in the final. Does anyone really relish the idea of watching a Palace v. Everton or Watford v. West Ham match up? Yikes!
I'll be back for the 4pm EST kickoff.
Cheers mate. Looking forward to the pleasure of your company.
Becky Lowe is out. I wonder if she is expecting. She is replaced by a Yank named Sebastian, who is surely a filler.
Mutual respect between Ranieri and Benitez.
They're off from the King Power Stadium.
A risky perhaps nervous back pass from Wes Morgan, but Kapser does well to find a reammate
Shaky Toon defending from a long throw, but it makes it top keeper, Rob Elliott.
JAck Colback is on nine yellows. A booking tonight would mean a two match suspension, including the Tyne/ Wear Derby on Sunday against his former team
Ayoze wins a corner for the Toon/.
The corner from shelvey is headed out for what looks like another corner, but it's a goal kick
I'm back for a few minutes until my class. Notice in the Leicester line-up that they're playing two up front, plus Mahrez and Albrighton. Very attacking line-up. It's no wonder they're doing well.
First match with Rafa in charge of the Toon.
One of the more interesting tussles will be between Wes Morgan and Mitrovic.
Welcome back, mate. What time does your class begin?
Jamie Vardy goes down in the box under a challenge from Janmaat. It looked a fair shoulder charge
Sissokho heads just wide off a nice cross from Ayoze.
Mahrez has a shot blocked by Steven Taylor for a corner. It was headed for the corner.
Huth heads the corner from Albrighton just over.
Mitrovic plays a nice pass in the box after a bout of head tennis, but nobody was up to connect
Colback called for a foul on Mahrez
GOAL!!! OKOZAKI PUTS THE FOXES IN THE LEAD WITH AN AUDACIOUS BICYCLE KICK
Mitrovic headed out the free kick from Mahrez , albrighton crossed back into the box and it was headed on by a Toon defender. Vardy out jumped Colback and headed on for Okozaki to score.
A bad first impression by Colback, who cheaply conceded the free kick and was badly beaten to a header by Vardy. Raffa will not be impressed by ginger hard man
OH!!! Inches wide by Albrighton , who was superbly put through by Vardy as the Foxes threaten to run rampant.
Wow - I'll look forward to seeing that goal later. The Foxes keep rolling along.
Raffa getting stick from the home fans. Lovely Jubbly!
A great finish, but sloppy Toon defending that will not go over well with Raffa
Wijnaldum and Mitrovic collide, going for the same ball that could have been a chance on goal. Raffa is starting to see the problems he has inherited.
Vardy has a shot deflected for a corner after a nice run and pass by Mahrez
The corner iss taken short by Fuchs to Mahrez and his cross is headed away by Sissokho.
A nice Toon possession ends with a long range effort from Janmaat that is high and wide.
Mitrovic is several yards offside from a long ball.
Ayoze shoots straight at Kasper after a long ball was headed on by Mitrovic
Vardy wins a corner off of Colback. a minute of stoppage time.
Rob Elliott does well to catch the corner.
The Foxes are one up at the half and Raffa looks none too impressed.
The second half is underway from The King Power Stadium
Sissokho trips Mahrez just outside the Toon box.
The free kick is headed out and the Foxes do well to prevent a Toon break
Danny Simpson has a cross go off of Colback for a corner/
Rob Elliott punches out the corner from Albrighton then Janmaat fouls Vardy just outside the D after the Toon blocked a couple of shots
The free kick is in the D about a foot outside the box.
Anita blocks a shot from Drinkwater off a short free kick
Janmaat has a shot blocked by Albrighton for a corner off a run and pass from Sissoko
The corner is headed down and easily gathered by Kasper.
Andros Townsend came on for Anita.

Sissoko gives away a free kick as Schlupp is on for Okozaki, the goal scorer.
Wiljnaldum heads out the free kick from Albrighton.
Looks like Leicester are hanging on to their slender lead.
Hand bags between Danny Simpson and Mitrovic. Craig Forson has a word with both
Yes. That is correct. The Toon have better the second half
Schlupp has a shot come off of Janmaat for a corner. Mitrovic heads out the corner from Albrighton
Siem De Jong is on for Ayoze.
Danny Simpson fouls Sissoko
Ulloa, who came on for Albrighton , headed out the free kick from Ahelvey
Sissoko has a volley blocked for a corner
The Foxes counter off the corner from Shelvey
Shelvey fouls Vardy in midfield.
A great pass and De Jong miss hits a shot straight to Kasper.
The final roll of the dice from Raffa as Doumbia is on for Shelvey as Raffa has thrown on an extra striker.
Rafa is going all in for the point, eh?
Great block by Colback from Mahrez ox a Foxes break.
Claudio urging the fans to raise the volume in the final few minutes
Schlupp keeps the ball by the corner fl;ag and wins a corner.
Three minutes of stoppage time

A long range effort from Mahrez is high and wide.
Vardy wins a corner off of Colback
It's taken short and the final whistle blows to the relief of Claudio as the Foxes hang on to a 1-0 win and maintain their five point lead over the Spuds. Raffa sportingly congratulates Claudio as the Toon remain second from bottom a point behind the Canaries and Black Cats.
That's it for me.
CHEERS!
