Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Good afternoon, mate. I'm at my brother's house watching the pre-match show.
It's a matchup of two clubs spending tons of Qatari oil money.
Manchester City’s manager is talking a bold game. Asked whether his team will play cautiously tonight, Pellegrini says to BT: “It’s true that it’s a game of 180 minutes not 90 minutes but I don’t think we know how to play that way. We are not coming here to try to have a draw or a small defeat.”
Afternoon, mate. Glad that you're able to join me this afternoon for a bit of the footer.
Teams gathering in the tunnel.
PSG have already secured the L1 title. What a snoozefest that league is.
Cheers mate. It's great to enjoy the pleasure of your company. Were you pleased with the result on JFH'S return to ER?
Agreed. They clinched the title before I went on Spring Break. Talk about lack of competition.
A great atmosphere from The Park of Princes.
Blimey - I missed that result entirely due to a busy day at work. I'll take the point, sure. It gets us to 48 points - 2 from safety.
City are wearing that luminous lime kit just in case the floodlights go out, while PSG are in ocean blue.
They're off from Princes Park.
I believe that this one is Qatar v. Abu Dhaba, but yes - plenty of Emirati money on display this evening.
The sideshow is booked seconds after kickoff for a grab back on Aguero
The free kick from De Bruyne is headed out by the first man
De Bruyne lets fly from distance to get his boots warm. Well over. Sideshow Bob nowhere in evidence, as usual.
Macadamia wins a corner
I'm hearing rumors that Cavani might be in to Chelski in a straight swap for Diego Costa this summer.
Sideshow is suspended for the return leg.
Good for Chelski and bad for PSG,but he will score lots of goals in a poor French League along with the cards.
PSG want a pen but nothing doing.
City continue to alarm their hosts. Their intensity is far higher than what PSG are accustomed to facing in Ligue 1 and Blanc’s men have been taken aback.
The Citeh defense was caught out as Cavani put through Matuidi. He wanted a penalty for a challenge by Sagna. It started with a flick on by Zlatan.
Flight booked for a clumsy challenge on Aurier
Now, that is a penalty for PSG. Sagna chopping down Sideshow in the box. Dead cert.
Hart punches away after Cavani back heeled a free kick then penalty PSG as Sagna tripped the Sideshow.
Joe Hart with a bit of gamesmanship before the pen. Might get booked for that.
Zlatan to take....
Saved by Hart! Great stuff!
WOW!Hart superbly pushes away the penalty from Zlatan
Zlatan heads straight to Hart.
Of Citeh don't progress, the open question is whether they'll qualify for next year's competition.
James gives Real the lead vs the Herbies.
"The Herbies," I like that nickname for Wolfsburg.
That last spot seems to be between the two Manc clubs.
Citeh had four bombing forward there - they have been rather adventurous tonight. Navas found Silva with a great cross but the tiny man couldn't steer his header on target.
That's how I see it - and I think United have the easier run in.
Citeh should have taken the lead as De Bruyne tackled Zlatan and put Navas through down the right. His cross was headed wide by Silva, who had a free header.
So Pep could be in your beloved EL next season.
Oh - Zlatan was straight through on goal there but he blew his shot over the top. How did he not score?!
Oh! Zlatan was through with just Hart to beat and blasted over
Zlatan is known for his finishing?
Could be - I'm not sure that he understood that when he signed his contract.
This is brilliant stuff - end to end!
Two PSG players, Thiago Silva and Aurier, collide.
Thanks for the clarification about Zlatan.
Navas is the worse for wear after a clash of heads with Sideshow Bob.
Silva fouls Cavani about thirty yards from goal
Oh - big mistake by Thiago who was casual with the flick. It's a shame that Fernandinho's ball to De Bruyne wasn't better there.
Now PSG have a free kick from range.
Into the wall by Zlatan
He does think a lot of himself.
Di Maria has his pocket picked by Fernandinho. It's a feeling of deja vu
Fernando into the book there for sliding in on Sideshow.
Fernando booked for as foul on fellow Brazi,Sideshow
Zlatan again from the free kick....
No - it's DiMaria this time, into the wall. You'll have flashbacks of his days at OT with that one.
Into the wall by Di Maria as I read in the script last season
GOAL! The Ginger Winger slots home Citeh's opener and a critical away goal.
Great break from Citeh ending with a consummate finish from the Belgian. Sideshow was left on his bum as usual.
GOAL!WE Bruyne gives Citeh the lead. Fernando picked up a poor pass from Rabiot and played through De Bruyne, who shot past the Trapp Door
GOAL! Zlatan ties it up for PSG
What's this? Fox missed the goal entirely. What happened there.
PSG have equalized!
What a nonsense between Fernando and Hart. Zlatan took full advantage. A terrible goal to give up in this kind of match.
1-1!
School Boy defending as Hat passed a goal kick to Fernandinho and Zlatan slid in as the ball strolled past Hart
A minute of stoppage time
I think that Fernando must have thought he was on the beach. What a shocker!
It's 1-1 at the end of an entertaining half
Agreed, mate. Was he off a bad trip from Woodstock?
Half-time - Citeh did really well there for forty minutes and should have gone in 0-1 up. Shame that they conceded when they did.
The Herbies are two up vs Real as the second half is underway from Princes Park
We're back on in PSG.
You will be greatly surprised to discover that the booking for Sideshow was the quickest in CL history
That could be the shock result of the round. Right now, you'd have to put your money on Barca and Bayern progressing from yesterday's matches.
Matuidi picks up a yellow and will be suspended along with Sideshow for the second leg.
Matuidiis booked for an innocuous chllenge on Otamendi and is suspended for the return leg along with the Sideshow.
Barca and Bayern have really slender leads Those tiesbare still wide open
Maxwell rifles a cross over and Cavani isn't able to control the header - well over.
Cavani heads over a cross from Maxwell House
Horrible shot from Fernandinho.
Fernando heads out for a PSG corner.
Silva on his unfancied right foot makes the keeper work.
Silva has a soft shot that doesn't go past the Trapp Door
Unfortunately, I've got to run upstairs and set up my class now. I should be able to stop back for a moment or two.
Zlatan is down off a tackle from Silva
Cheers mate. Have fun
Oh!Nearly an OG by Fernando off a cross by Maxwell House then
GOAL! Di Maria took a corner and Hart saved the header, but Rabiot scored with the rebound
The replay showed that the goal should have been disallowed for offside as Zlatan missed the ball from the corner while in an offside position
OH! Zlatan heads a cross from Maxwell House on to the corner of post and crossbar then Cavani struck The rebound into the ground and it bounced just over
Navas wins a corner off of Maxwell House
GOAL! DESMOND AS AURIER AND THIAGO SILVA COMBINE YO FAIL TO CLEAR AWAY A PASS IN THEIR BOX AND GIFT FERNANDINHO AN EASY TAP IN
I'm back after setting up and see that I missed two goals. This would be an excellent result for Citeh if they can hold on now.
Lucas is on for Rabiot and Delphi for We Bruyne
A little of the LUFC Academy magic should do the trick.
Welcome back, mate. Sorry to say you did.At least you are here to see LUFC Academy representation
Desmond was proxying for you,mate.
Mangala booked for a foul on Matuidi
Navas booked for a fpul on the counter
Boni is on for Silva
Delph called for a fpul on Van Fee Weil. There minutes of stoppage time
Kolorov on for Aguero to waste time
It finishes Desmond At the Princely Park.
The Herbies defeated Real 2-0
That's it for me.I will be around this weekend.
CHEERS!
