The Weekend Curtain Raiser
Most of the fireworks are on Sunday this weekend, with both the Chelsea v. ManYoo clash and the League Cup Final taking place tomorrow morning. So, consider today a curtain-raiser, an amuse bouche if you will. I elected to sleep in through the Leicester v. Stoke opener and to join in for the 10am EST kickoffs. Then we have Liverpool hosting The Happy Hammers on CNBC (The Winter Olympics are still on-going on NBC Sports this weekend). Of course my eye will be fixed on Elland Road where Leeds will be hosting Brentford. Three points please, lads!

Hiya Sleepyheads
I have been up for a while and thought I would contribute for a bit

Can I stay alive in the pool?
Stoke have their first corner as the clock ticks to the 95th minute... cleared and there goes the whistle and ends 1-1 and I am out of the pool after one week... AGAIN!
Next up on CNBC is Liverpool vs West Ham
A win by the Reds will take them above United into second
All I have to say about that is....
I'm forever blowing bubbles.
Pretty bubbles in the air.
They fly so high, nearly reach sky
Then like my dreams they fade and die
Fortune's always hiding
I've looked everywhere
I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air

Today marks 25 years since Bobby Moore passed away, and both West Ham and Liverpool will remember England’s 1966 World Cup captain today. Might be a good time for the Happy Hammers to score a famous away win.

And we're away at Anfield.
They're off from Anfield.
Welcome, MUR - I hope you had as nice a lie-in as I did.
Hard to believe, UWS. Didn't it has been that long.
Kate has mentioned early on that she doesn't recognize many of the Liverpool players' names. I suppose that shows how relatively new this team is this year.
Again, I might not be here the whole time. I know I won't be here for the boring late match... NBC have a stinker!!
Last full day with Laura here. I am driving her to Newark tomorrow. I will be able to watch the big Prem match but only half of the Cup Final
