A Spot of Monday Night Footie
A very good Monday evening to you gents out there in LOB land. I'm in the midst of the furore of the opening day of the Fredonia semester. But I'm still going to try to grab a sneaky peek at the Premiership offering this evening. It couldn't be a more mouth-watering prospect. It's United with all of the Mourinho nonsense on board against Spurs, one of the most attractive (at times) and erratic (most of the time) sides. What more could you ask for on a Monday afternoon, eh? Join me!

Hello Bob
I am here for the big one of the weekend after a nice weekend in your old stomping ground!
I think I can stay here for the entire match
Where did you used to live in Boston?
Where Kathy and I visited many moons ago...was it before we were married?
Welcome, mate - I hope you're having a good day. Come on, you Red Devils!
That would be Kathy and I not you and I
Old Trafford sounds good!!
We are off
ooooh.... almost in by Fred there!
Glad to see that
Of course United scored really early in their other home game and were awful after that
United going forward so far!
A couple of weak crosses by United
One from each side
Answer Boston questions
If, that is if, United score... they sit back
Heard good things on talkSport about Leeds
Also about the pink dressing room at Carrow Road.... they liked it. Also Bielsa makes his players clean visitor dressing rooms
High foot by Luca Mora ...Jones always gets his head in the way
Now United going the wrong way
A bright start but United not really creating anything
DAMN IT
LUKAKU MISSES AN OPEN GOAL!!
I was all over the city, mate. I started out in the dorms on Commonwealth Avenue. Then I was in an apartment right off Kenmore Square near Fenway Park. Then on to an apartment in Brighton about twenty minutes out of the city. And then on to an apartment in Brookline Village with my first serious girlfriend. Then on to an apartment in Jamaica Plain. And then on to an apartment in East Cambridge across the river. And finally in an apartment in Union Square, Somerville near Harvard Square.
Loving the coverage of Bielsa and Leeds. I think the pundits are surprised that we're half decent after all this time. The Norwich pink dressing room worked out a treat! 0-3 Wallop!
Another weak effort by Lukaku but great play Shaw
Do you remember where you were when we visited?
All United right now. Should be a couple up.
Shaw is playing well
Yeah - when you visited during Italia 90, I was in the Brighton apartment.
Valencia is down hurt
Ref goes to his pocket but realizes it is Sir Harry...no...he is booking Mr WCGB
ahh...so we weren't married yet
Terrible by Matic but AWFUL by Dele Alli.... great defending by Smalling too
Wasn't a brilliant clearance by De Gea again
Just like last week which resulted in a goal for the Seagulls
United are moving the ball quicker...I like it
Another poor effort by Lukaku
Was that a penalty??
Decent curler effort by Fred
Already so much better than against Leicester and Brighton
I think it was a pen
I don't think so - you visited in June and then I came out for your wedding in December. In between Steve and Melanie got married in August. Great year!
United creating the chances for Spurs too
Very sloppy at the back
Pogba with a shot saved
Then Matic deflected...just wide
Great year indeed
So many players on the pitch right now played in the World Cup Semi Finals!
Fred almost scores from corner
England made the semis too in 90
Crowd singing something to Lloris!
We think they are saying
He drives when he wants
He drives when he wants
Hugo Lloris drives when he wants
To do with his DWI this week
Hate modern day football taking a free kick so quickly for no reason...it is a FREE kick!!
United do that and the ball goes all the way back to De Gea!!
Ericksen with a shot... tame
Wow - I hadn't heard that story. Bad business.
Last time these teams played in the League, United gave away a goal in 10.5 seconds in a two nil loss...but the last time they actually met was in the FA Cup Semi Final
Totally agree with you, mate. If it's anywhere in the opponents' half, it's a chance. I loved it that Southgate had England set up to take advantage of all set pieces.
Dele Alli was wide open... nice saving tackle by Herreira
Spurs Son is still at the Asian Games
They just beat Uzbekistan 4-3 to make the semi final
If SKorea win.... he will be exempt from Military Service
Matic is having a stinker
One added minute
Lingard's hair is messing me up
All a bit scrappy in this first half. Let's hope the second half is better.
Half time
Much better by United but still not that many chances created
Second half underway
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
I think it was quite exciting without many chances created
Pogba with a shot just wide
Well done again by Shaw
A weird save by De Gea there.... rebound just over Lucas' head
Actually a great save!
Lingard almost in by a nice back heal by Fred
Well done Smalling blocking a DA shot
Bloody Hell
Kane heads Spurs into the lead
WIDE OPEN
Great header but mark MR WCGB
Lukaku with a hard shot...well saved!
That is the best effort from a poor Lukaku
Two Nil
Lucas scores again!
2 goals in 6 second half minutes
Why didn't Lingard shoot it there!!!
Both goals 2:15 between the two
Sanchez on for Herriera
Matic has been atrocious today
Lindeloff is about to come on...Jones is hurt... of course
Why didn't Sanchez shoot... Pogba crosses to no one
Jones is off with a hammy
I bet Jose brings on Fellaini and not Rashford...as I type it... Fellaini is talking to Jose
DAMN IT
Matic has been awful but I'd rather him stay on but he is being replaced by Fellaini
Lingard with a chance...took too long...cleared
Sanchez is already complaining to his teammates
Fred took some dangerous corners... why did Sanchez start taking them
So... Fellaini crossing from the left wing
Free kick to United...outside the box on the right wing
Lingard is free at the D...not passed to him... comes to nothing
SO BAD by Lindeloff!!
SO SO SO BAD
De Gea saves the day
Jose can't complain...he signed Lindeloff and Baiily
From the corner...Lindeloff loses Kane and MR WCGB misses a sitter
Bailly so bad last week and completely dropped
Lindeloff even worse inside ten minutes of being on the field
Terrible effort there by Sanchez.... this is NOT the same guy that wore Gunner red
Sanchez tries an impossible chip pass
United look clueless
Not good by Lukaku again...his passing is bad
Fellaini controls but falls to win a pen...stay up
United are now clueless
The Bury Beckham comes off with a knock
Under 15 minutes to go
United are struggling
Still not much urgency
Decent cross by Shaw again... he's been our best player
Lingard with a shot deflected just over bar
Not hit that well
Useless front post corner by Sanchez
Sanchez volleys high
Spurs being the modern day team... subbing for ten minutes
Apparently, United have never lost 2-0 at home in the Premier League era
Lucas.... breaks...THREE NIL SPURS
PATHETIC
Well...United STILL haven't lost at home 2-0 at home
Two straight PL games... concede three goals
Luke Shaw... down...hopefully just cramp
He gets up...not going to be hurt !
United best player by a mile....left back
Kane has scored 61 goals in his last 64 games for Spurs
91 goals in 95 games for club and country
Remarkable
Sanchez to take a free kick...it will suck...on target but saved
Fellaini, United's last sub, has done absolutely NOTHING
Spurs fans singing..."you're getting sacked in the morning"
United have away games at Burnley and high flying Watford... could easily lose both of those games
When looking at the fixtures before the season.... I was hoping for a strong start!
Atrocious pass out wide by Fellaini.... straight into the advertising boards....no where near Valencia
Good lord! I've just gotten back online after meeting with some students and have seen the scoreline.
Jose out, eh?
Right now...United are in 13th
3 points
-3 GD
Sorry, mate. I'm sure that this is really shocking and disappointing. I'm off home. Cheerio!
Free kick chance by Pogba to get the ball in.... doesn't beat the first man... OF COURSE
That is it
Absolutely RUBBISH
Shaw goes up to Shaw and pats his back and the ref
Take care Bob
Good luck in the League Cup
