Go On, the Two Uniteds!
A very good morning, everyone! It's a morning of the Uniteds in the Premier League today. First up are Everton v. United froM Goodison Park. Everton have fallen off their early form a bit. Can United catch them in a grump mood today? Next up at 10:00am are Crystal Palace and my beloved Leeds. Based on my patented survival rubric, we only need a point from this one. But we tend to either win or lose, so who knows what will happen? If that isn't enough for you, there is Chelsea v. Sheffiled United at 12:30 and finally a London Derby on Peacock between West Ham and Fulham. Join me for all the business today, won't you?

Everton’s fast start to the season seems a distant memory already. They won their first seven games in all competitions, and in some style too, but since then it’s been slim pickings: just one point from the last nine available. They could do with some good news as they look to snap that run, and here’s some: James Rodriguez should be back from injury.
United aren’t in a good place right now. They were eased aside by Arsenal last weekend, conceded one of the daftest goals in the entire history of association football in Istanbul on Wednesday, and are stuck at the wrong end of the Premier League table. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under serious pressure; another bad performance today would plunge him into all sorts of bother.
The team news out of Goodison:
Everton: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Digne, Doucoure, Allan, Sigurdsson, Rodriguez, Calvert-Lewin, Bernard.
Subs: Mina, Tosun, Iwobi, Andre Gomes, Godfrey, Davies, Olsen.
Manchester United: de Gea, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Mata, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Pogba, Cavani, James, Henderson, Matic, van de Beek, Tuanzebe.
Referee: Paul Tierney (Lancashire).
Good Morning, Bob. Here to join you for what hopefully is a successful morning for our Uniteds heading into the international break
Good morning chaps. I'll join you for this one too.
C'mon United.
Some wag has flown a banner above Goodison now that reads "World Knows Trump Won #MAGA." Good grief!
Morning, David - great to have you on board for this one this morning. How was your week?
You will be excited to note that the early FA Cup match today is from none other than Tonbridge Wells as Tonbridge Angels host Bradford City
Morning Boys
Had trouble sleeping last night.....I am sure United will help me catch up on zzzz
They're off from Goodison Park
Lots of moments of silence before the kickoff, for Remembrance Day and now for BLM.
And we're away. Quick start for United with Shaw romping up the left side.
United get the bal in the box....right away! Almost found a man
The problem with United is their slowness with the ball, the slowness in the movement and not making any runs up top
Morning, Dave - was that you who came on incognito? Welcome! Hope you're doing well.
I think that is Steve
He was like that midweek
Good morning, Dave. Now we have the three United regulars on board. Both Uniteds on the telly today as it should be
Nice stuff from United early doors.
The ball is being moved faster...I like it so far
Steve is the mystery man and Dave even referred to him as a man of mystery
Morning, Steve - are you having trouble accessing your LOB account?
Interesting that both teams enter the match on a run of bad form. Something has to give
uh oh... we've slowed down now and just passing it east and west
Speaking of which, Dave, did Tony ever have a chance to get back onto the LOB? If not, I'll email him again.
Bob, in terms of your question the week went well, but Elizabeth and I are having trouble processing this crazy election week. The football and banter will be a welcome break
Struth.... that header almost in!
Af first I thought it hit the bar
OH ! Bernard cut in and his shot was diverted by the head of DCL and just over off the stanchion
Morning David
Everton starting to get on top
Good morning. It's Steve. I forgot to investigate why my profile hasn't kicked in.
Has anyone already said how nice it is for once to see both teams wearing their home kits? More of that please.
Agreed, Dave. We need to stop this . The two teams that played yesterday discovered how to stop these mugs, so why not us?
United for the most part do wear red when they can... of course they are wearing the change of of shorts
Arsenal are one of the worst culprits of wearing another shirt!
Even though I'm not a a fan, it annoys me that they don't wear their iconic shirts whenever they can!
What about you Steve? or should I say UNKNOWN
Absolutely - we need more of the sides playing in their traditional kits. I'm really tired of the likes of Citeh playing in shocking pink and the like.
I agree. I want to wear Red at home, Yellow away, like God intended.
I was encouraged with the first two minutes....now it's like the last 120
180
Steve, are you saying that yellow away always?
Wearing yellow against Chelsea?
Corner to United... it finally makes it to Martial... hits it wide!!
HE WAS ON
Oh - Martial so close to opening the scoring!
He has to bury that
Back from the bog to see that United should have taken the lead. A karate chopped shot just wide then just over by Rash. Better from United
Rashford doesn't shoot... passes to Bruno....blocked. and then back to Rash...over
I really hope Telles comes into this side when he is fully recovered from Covid
Shaw is pathetic
He is useless going forward and useless defending!!
And Everton take the lead
Yes, the kit we wore in the '79 cup final. But wearing our home kit against Chelsea, there's no clash so we would wear red against Chelsea.
Sorry, guys - Bernard opens the scoring for Everton.
BUGGER! BERNARD GIVES THE TOFFEES THE LEAD
Nothing wrong with going long... of course... you guys don't like it
Good to hear... Arsenal do where changed shirt these days... always
United failed at basic defending off a long ball from Pickford. Headed on by DCL to Bernard who cut in and scored with a well placed near post finish
That's what I'd have for us, too, Steve. All white at home and all yellow away. I don't mind wearing the 30s kit (green and blue vertical stripes) that we're wearing these days, and it's a good deal better than the pink, black and whatever away kits of the past. But I grew up with the Revie team wearing white at home and yellow away.
Bugger. Smash and grab and Everton are ahead.
Rash shoots... out for a thrown in perhaps... almost
Bradford City two up at Tonbridge Angels. All is not well in Tonbridge Wells
It is interesting to see Everton play a smash and grab strategy at home. Are they Leicester in disguise?
WAY HAY! BRUNO TIES IT UP FOR UNITED
YES!!!
Bruno equalizes for United!
A decent cross by Shaw... about time!
Yes! Lovely header from Bruno and United are level!
Better. Fernandes replies with a header and movement that split the center backs.
Nice one touch United passing and that Shaw was a great cross for Bruno to head in the equalizer
Shaw now gives away a stupid free kick
After I type that I see what Shaw was a stupid trip on Coleman near the corner flag. Tooo much mustard on the tackle?
United counter as the Toffees free kick was headed away
Are you complaining Everton kick it long sometimes?
Again, there is a place for it in the game.
Teams don't always have to play out from the back.... the way teams do it these days is moronic
Digne hits the woodwork...United torn apart
Oh - Digne crashes one against the woodwork from a tight angle! DCL not happy with him.
OH! Digne has a shot come off the side of the post and out for a goal kick
Wow. This really is end to end stuff.
United break.... Rash gives it away
I know that you lot were happy about it on the text yesterday, but what the hell are Southampton doing on top of the league. That's just wrong!
Yeah - it's a bit of a thriller. I'm enjoying it thoroughly. Definitely no need for caffeine this morning.
Bruno with a shot from long free kick... saved
Peter D.... screaming the shooter's name... that's all he does
I don't like teams where they set back 6-8 men in defensive positions and 1 or 2 chasers of long clearances upfield. The Everton goal used the long ball to catch you out, but they're confident passing the ball and building the attack. The occasional long ball is ok. But that shit that Leicester are playing, and the fawning over Rogers like he's a footballing genius irks me.
YES!!!
UNITED TAKE THE LEAD!!
Was it Rashford?
WAY HAY RASH GIVES UNITED THE LEAD. HEADS IN A CROSS OF THE INSIDE OF THE POST
A glancing header from Marcus.... He was on
Wahay! United have termed it around. Juan Bruno with a little chip in to Rash who flicked it past Pickers.
1-2
He touched it!!
Rash played the ball wide left to Bruno whop crossed and it glanced off Rash's head and off the inside of the post for a 1-2 United lead
Good grief. Everton's center backs and Pickers got mugged again. 2-1 United now.
Not entirely sure that that isn't a second for Bruno - Rash might not have gotten a touch.
Potters up to sixth as they take the lead at the Mad Stad. Reading Railroad top, but the Toffees of the Championship
Not sure that Pickers had much of a chance on either of those headers. Questions will be asked among the Everton defense about why two United players have been allowed to ghost into open heading positions in the area.
Everton left Yerry Mina on the bench and that decision is costing them.
If it is, that's Bruno's sixth of the campaign. Great return from him. He's your most important player IMHO.
They call him Pickers because he's an expert at picking the ball out of the net
Potters? You mean Goblins?
Definitely not England form from Michael Keane today. And I've never been convinced by this Allan bloke.
I thought it came off Rash, but Bruno now on a hat-trick. I think most of his goals have been spot kicks
A bit rusty from Kung Fu Panda there. He's probably happy that he was flagged off there.
There is more movement up top for United so far
Martial flagged after a weak effort
Oh, very disappointing effort from Martial even if he thought he was off-side.
United through on goal , but t karate chopped shot straight at Pickford and offside
Damn it... lost a Rashford goal in Fantasy
Potters two up at the Mad Stad
No more Goblin news please.
Sorry, Dave. Still plenty of time for Rash to score. Chances good with Pickford in goal and the Toffees having a somewhat soft center today
phew...I thought that was going to be pen but the flag is up
Stupid challenge by my Scottish Son
I just noticed that the Tractor Boys vs Pompey is on Plus at 10 AM
When has OGS not looked young? He's like the Mickey Rooney of the Premier League.
I can't keep up with the Fantasy stuff. It's all Greek to me. The PPP is simple.
Nice OGS description, Bob
Bruno is down with sore foot....I hope he's okay
BUGGER! Bruno down. The last thing United needs
I'll def tune that in David!
Thankfully, Bruno is up and able to continue
Fantasy if fun in my league
It is me, Tom, Matt, a few of their friends and couple of mine... both who don't follow footer much...they joined just to abuse us
I just can't get excited about following the Championship this season. I wonder why?
Now Kung Fu down off a challenge with former United trainee, Michael Keane
Yikes... Arm then shin on Martial!
This doesn't look good at all.
Not sure, Bob. Thought you would be dleighted
I wonder why?
That match is an FA Cup 1st Round match
Bit of working class ballet leaves Martial floored.
Glad you will Dave. Should be quite a cup match
United up to THIRTEENTH!
In to a an LOB Blogging quartet of stoppage time minutes
I don't think that was much of a foul there by Fred
Come on United.... don't concede
Decent clearance header by Shaw
Now the Toffees have a free kick. The free kick from Siggy Shaw was headed away
Thanks for the reference Steve. Wonder if the Working Class Ballet can be seen on Netflix
That performance of it best viewed through splayed fingers.
Alan booked for a foul on compatriot, Fred. That was nasty.
United 1-2 ahead at the half at Goodison
HT... better from United
Hope they improve even more in the second half
The players are back out at Goodison Park. We got three goals in the first half. Let's hope for some more in this half. Come on, United!
The second half is underway from Goodison Park
Everton try to catch United napping at the start of the half. Nothing doing.
Second half underway
Don't sit back and possess the ball
SCORE... still -3 in GD
Bradford City three up at Tonbridge Angels and Exeter has come from behind to take a 2-1 lead vs Fylde
Wonder if United come anywhere near the "Murder" sessions at Elland Road
No comment from Bob from my text about MB going across to the better side of the Pennines
Free kick chance for the Toffees
Obiwan using the Force wrongly
Toffees free kick just outside the United box. Free kick from Siggy headed away
BOOM BOOM, Dave.
Bruno booked for a foul on Siggy
I wish Pogba would be made to do murder sessions every day for hours on end
Bruno in the book.
In my opinion, cards are given out too much. They don't really mean anything anymore!
Every game has numerous yellows and many times red!
Watching old games... player going in the book was a huge thing
When Everton break....there seems to be a lot of space
Everyone is taking how elementary defending Demba Ba's goal was midweek.... I totally agree... but what about the second one? Where was Shaw... when the ball came over there were TWO players waiting to shoot....Shaw wasn't in the frame
Not impressed by the Toffees today.
Up next for United
West Barcode Albion at home
Can we finally win a home match in the Premier League?
Why bring on Pogba?
Pogba slows the play down
He doesn't keep the ball moving
Will lose the ball in any 50/50 challenge
I hope that when the barcode is scanned that it reads a United win against a team that has yet to win a league match all season
Reading have really fallen off a cliff!
Two down at home to Stoke....will that be 3 defeats on the trot?
Bradford City up by a Barber shop quartet at Tonbridge Angels.
United would jump up to 13th if they hang on to this lead. Just behind my beloved Leeds.
Oh dear - Pickers seemed to have pushed Slaphead Maguire over there. VAR check?
Struth.... what did Pickford do there!!!
Dropped and Maguire misses...is it a pen?
I don't think it will be
Nothing given
No penalty in the end. Maguire did crumple a bit. Pickers got off easy. He really is not performing confidently for club these days.
OH! Pickford drops the ree kick as does to Maguire what he did Van Dijck in the Mersey Derby.. Looking at the replay, it doesn't look a penalty, but Maguire hooks a shot over from a foot out
13th.... I think I will get dizzy
DCL offside on a Toffees break and now a nasty challenge by Maguire on Michael Keane
Sorry on Digne
Maguire hacks down Digne... offside anyway
Stop tackling like that
I don't think it was a pen!
GOT ALL BALL
Another ruck now between the sides. This is getting a bit testy.
He got the ball first
He did get the ball first
Thirteenth is nosebleed territory
These guys on the mic are morons
I don't get it!!
Nothing doing and Digne magically recovered
Nothing... the two numpties on the mic are disapppointed
United to to step it up
Rubbish corner from Bruno.
Atrocious corner from Bruno
ATROCIOUS corner !!
Ridiculous... a professional!
I think one of the numpties is Peter Dreary.
Bradford City now five up at Tonbridge Angels
More argybargy between Bruno and Coleman.
Iwobi on for siggy
Tuanzebe on for Shaw
Why?
Tuanzee on for Shaw now. Don't know that kid.
He's not happy... kicking an extra ball off its cone
Wasabi Shaw coming on for United . That appears to be like for like. Will Wasabi duel with Coleman Mustard?
United have been useless this half
Bernard looks like he's going to cry!
Has Mata touched the ball?
Wasabi in his third season in the first team squad. Jose gave him a few chances near the end of his reign
I thought the balls changed color in November
A quiz question. Tonbridge Angels getting thrashed in the Cup. Which current Prem manager had his first managerial job with them
In today's game of multi ball .... a player scoring a hat-trick... the ball he keeps... might have stayed in corner all game and you didn't score any of your goals with it
Another chippy one from Bruno. He could easily go off here!
Bruno needs to stop sliding in
That was a fair tackle by Bruno on Allan. I agree with Jim Beglin that Allan is trying to get him in trouble. I hate that
OGS should get Bruno off immediately - he's already on a yellow and he's getting reckless with his tackling.
What have United created in the second half?
Rashford all of a sudden with a chance....saved
OH! Long ball finds Rash through, but his shot was kick saved by Pickford
United now just passing... GET IT IN THE BOX
Finally....Rash almost in... hit it first time!
Alan looks like a nasty piece of work on the Toffees
Damn... weak effort from Mata
Iwobi with a cross off the hot Wasabi for a Toffees corner
Where did you get this bloke Tuanzebe?
I'd bring on Cavani for Mata
Move Martial out wide!
Two wide men... Cavani in the middle
Corner from Hummus Rod off wasabi for another corner. Next corner headed away then Bernard with a volley halfway to Birkenhead
He's been on our books forever
I think Wasabi came up through the academy system and despite the name I think he's English
Correct, Dave. He made his first team debut when Little Joe was our manager
Doucorre with a shot blocked for a corner taken short and headed away
Maguire looks like he could foul at any time!!
He seems to have caught the Phil Jones disease
Pogba and Cavani coming on
For who?
I think it will be Mata and Bruno.... the latter because of his yellow
I hear that the Jones disease is quite contagious
