A Lazy Sunday
I took advantage of the UK Fall Back to sleep in a bit. I'll be honest - I'll likely be in and out this morning, while Southampton v. Everton and Wolves v. Newcastle this morning. I'm mainly interested in the late one between Arsenal and Leicester, which promises to be a fascinating encounter. But I thought I'd start us off and chip in from time to time. Enjoy the day, chaps!

Good morning, Bob. They're off from St. Mary's
This match is on NBCSN, the next match is on NBC, and the late one is on Peacock
Early free kick from JWP is headed out by Michael Keane for a corner
The Toffees nearly take the lead . Siggy with a shot from 25 yards out goes off the top of the bar off some one touch passing
OH! Pickford does well to push away a long range shot driven by Alpha Romeu
GOAL !!!JWP GIVES THE SAINTS THE LEAD HE COLLECTED THE BALL OFF A THROW IN, PLAYED A ONE TWO WITH CHE ADDAMS THEN GOT BEHIND DIGNE TO SCORE WITH A WELL PLACED SHOT PAST PICKFORD
Saints up to fifth place behind Leeds on goal difference while the Toffees remain top ahead of their city rivals Liverpool on goal difference
GOAL !!! CHE ADDAMS UTS THE SAINTS TWO UP. POOR TOFFEES DEFENDING, FIRST WHEN DFANNY INGS WAS ALLOWED TO GO TOO EASILY DOWN THE LEFT THEN CHE ADDAMS LEFT UNMARKED AS HHIS SHOT SQUIRMED UNDER PICKFORD'S DIVE
Stu Armstrong appeared to put the Saints three up, but Che Addams was judged to be offside he got a long pass from the back then put Armstrong through
Into stoppage time
A minute of that
The Saints are surprisingly two up vs the league leaders at the half
Into the second half at St. Mary's. The Toffees are the only undefeated team in the Prem, but that's in jeopardy
Morning, David - I'm just checking in at the beginning of the second half to see what's happening in the early match. I'm shocked to see that the Saints are 2-0 up. What's going on with this season?
WOW ! It goes from bad to worse for the Toffees as Digne is sent off for a foul on Kyle Walker-Peters. Looking at the replay it didn't look a severe step on the hell and maybe deserved a booking at most. Hard to see the Toffees coming from two down this late in the match
It's gone from bad to worse for Everton now. Influential fullback Digne has gone off for a straight red after a nasty lunge on the Achilles.
Hello, Bob. I t has been a crazy start. Only half dozen matches into this season and it appears that there won't be any undefeated teams
Digne will be out the next three matches . According to my calculations he won't be back until Thanksgiving weekend due to the international break
Pickford does well to tip over a header from Vestegaard off a corner from JWP
A quintet of stoppage time minutes
Nasty stamp by DCL on Vestergaard. Booked for that , but I've seen red given for those
Pickford fumbles a long range drive from Alp[ha Romeu but immediately gathers it
Everton are limping to their first defeat of the season. That will give their rivals in the top half something to chew on.
It's over and the re are no loner any undefeated Prem teams as the Saints defeat the ten man Toffees 2-0. Toffees still top, but only ahead of Liverpool on goal difference while the Saints are up to fifth place
Everton will stay top for the moment; Southampton rise to fifth on the strength of that win. So the top six features Everton, Villa, Leeds, Soton and Palace.
Crazy!
Agreed, Bob. It's a wild start to the season
Wolves vs the Toon about to start on NBC and they're off from Molineaux
Wolves will be in fourth if they win this match
Early Wolves pressure as Karl Darlow does well to push away a powerful long range shot from Danny Podence
Checking in on the second match now. I fancy Wolves in this one, as they're at home. But who knows with this season?
Still 0-0 and Rui Patricio does well to save a long range deflected shot from St. Max
It's 0-0 at the half where both teams tried to attack , but the defenses were well organized, especially when it came to that final pass
I think I made the right decision to skip this one.
It finished 1-1 . Raul Jimenez gave Wolves the lead after a free kick from Pedro Neto was headed out then Jimenez scored with a well placed shot from the D. One of the Murphy Twins tied it up late with a curling free kick. Wolves now in 7th place and the Toon stay in 14th
The last quarter of the match was decent, but otherwise not a memorable match.
The late one is the Gunners vs the Foxes. Leeds will move from 4th to 5th regardless of the result. The winner could move up to third. If it's a draw the Foxes will be in fourth place and the Gunners in sixth
I'm back for the big match of the day. Hope you've been enjoying the footer today. This is the one that fired my imagination when I looked at this schedule this morning. Let's hope it's a cracker with loads of goals.
Team news out of North London tonight:
Arsenal: Leno, Bellerin, Luiz, Gabriel, Tierney, Ceballos, Xhaka, Thomas, Saka, Lacazette, Aubameyang. Subs: Runarsson, Maitland-Niles, Pepe, Mustafi, Elneny, Willock, Nketiah.
Leicester: Schmeichel, Fofana, Evans, Fuchs, Castagne, Tielemans, Mendy, Justin, Praet, Maddison, Barnes. Subs: Morgan, Vardy, Albrighton, Ward, Iheanacho, Under, Choudhury.
Referee: Craig Pawson.
Teams coming out of the tunnel now.
Good afternoon, Bob. Decent matches , but nothing spectacular other than the shock result at St. Mary's. This should be the MOTD
Welcome back, mate - we're ready for kickoff then. Will it be Partey-time at the Em tonight. We'll soon see.
They're off from the EM
Thanks, Bob. I bet Steve will be Parteying if the Gunners win
Oh - Leno went walkabout and the Fourth President tried to catch him out. Why not?
OH! Jay Leno with a clearance as comical as one of his late night punchlines as he was nearly chipped by the Fourth President from near the halfway line. Just wide
I'm sure it will be a right old Fiesta at 555 East Nelson Ave.
Jay Leno had gifted Rapid Vienna a goal on Thursday in the EL as he basically passed to an opposing player in the six yard box for an easy tap in
What did you hear in the French language press, David? Goal or no goal?
GOAL !!!I MISSED THE GOAL BUT READ ABOUT IN LACAZETTE . I READ THAT IT'S DISALLOWED AS HE HEADED IN THE CORNER BUT TWO PLAYERS IN AN OFFSIDE POISTION IMPEDED KASPER AND THE GOAL IS RIGHTLY DISALLOWED
Fourth Prez is over a free kick now - chips it in and it's cleared.
No goal due to the offside. The article stated Faux pas off the corner. Kate would be pleased with my use of the French Language
It's been an exciting start to the match
Leeds have these two teams in fairly short order. We play Leicester on Monday week and Arsenal just before the Thanksgiving break.
Kate would indeed. Magnifique!
According to La Cazette the Gunners have won a free kick in a promising position
Tame free kick from Xakha Khan is straight into the wall
Merci beaucoup, mon ami
The Foxes last won away to the Gunners in 1973. Talk about a bogey side. and that's in two different stadiums
Nice long ball from Sideshow Bob as Bellerin got behind James Justin. He took too long to shoot and Jonny Evans blocked his shot for a corner
Oh - Bellerin was nearly in from David Luiz's ball.
Saka has a shot blocked for a corner . Good start from the Gunners
Gabriel with a couple of extravagant efforts there.
Kieran Tierney wins a corner off a long diagonal pass from Sideshow Bob
Arsenal really need to take advantage of these chances. Leicester have the habit of conceding lots of possession and then hitting teams on the break.
That's true . That's what happened when the Foxes won at the Etihad
Wolves did the same thing to us - we don't really like playing those kinds of teams. We'll need to approach things carefully against the Foxes.
Bellerin with a volleyed pass cleared for a corner by Jonny on the spot off a long diagonal from Aubama
Agreed. This season will be a learning experience for Leeds, but despite that have done well on their return to the Prem
Sideshow is showing himself to be a great playmaker for Arsenal today. That's why I prefer him in the libero role rather than as center back where he's a liability.
Oh - how did Lacazette miss out on nodding home Tierney's cross. He seemed sure to score.
OH! Kieran Tierney with a cross headed out for a corner . According to La Cazettee the Gunners looked poised to take the lead
Harvey Barnes has a cross come off of Sideshow Bob for the Foxes first corner of the match
I missed a nasty Foxes foul. According to La Cazette it was a booking, but should have been a sending off. VAR says booking instead
Fofana is down for treatment after a clash with your favorite French reporter.
According to La Cazette young Foxes defender, Faffanna is down off a Gunners challenge. I didn't read anything about yellow or red cards
The reporter said Fofana was play acting. I think he was in a bit of pain
Both teams may be a tad fatigued from their EL matches on Thursday.
Aubama with a goal bound effort that goes off of teammate, Sideshow Bob, who was more wayward
Tielemans booked for a foul from behind on Saka
Tielemans hacks down Saka and picks up a yellow for his trouble. Leicester just trying to break up Arsenal's momentum.
Nice cross from Ceballos , but Saka whiffs at it in the six yard box then ends up shooting into the side netting from a difficult angle
The Gunners have out shot the Foxes 11-1 , but only have two shots on target. That says it all
I'm off to help Kate with a project while this one winds down to half time.
Ian Darke now wanting in on the Partey puns. He's no match for us
AN LOB blogging duo of stoppage time minutes
Cheers, Bob. Hope you will be around for the second half
It's 0-0 at the half as the Gunners dominated but were guilty of poor finishing
Players coming back out for the second half now. The intrigue will be when Brog decides to unleash Jamie Vardy.
Back for the second half
It will probably depend on Vardy's fitness , but the Foxes are not the same side without him
Sideshow Bob down with a thigh strain. Mustafi warming up.
It looks like Sideshow is going to have to come off - Mustafi to spell him.
Now that change is made as Mustafi is on for Sideshow Bob
A clash of two youngsters as Fofana is booked for rash foul on Saka
Fofana goes into the book now - Leicester are certainly setting out their stall to frustrate the Gunners tonight.
The free kick from Ceballos is a complete waste
The Fourth President with another long range chip, but this time it's catching practice for Jay Leno, who remembered his lines this time
Long range shot from the fourth president is deflected for a corner off a pass from Castegne after Xkha Khan was too easily tackled in midfield
Dangerous free kick for Leicester now - Fourth Prez is over it.
The latest article is French Connection as they talked about a foul on Mendy
High, wide and 'orrible from him this time.
Free kick from the Fourth President is well over. He's going to be mistaken for # 45
According to LaCazette Jonny Evans was fouled to the point where a Gunners booking was merited
Vardy is being prepared to come on around the hour mark.
Cross from Saka miss kicked out for a Gunners corner
Spot on Bob as Vardy is coming on at the hour mark and on for Dennis Praet. An attacking move as the Brodge is going for it
Nasty foul by Bellerin on James Justin and not even a foul is called
Another Gunners change nd pretty much like for lie as Pepe is on for Saka
Now it's Maddison into the book - how many Foxes have seen yellow today?
LA Cazette will not endorse the Fourth President after that grab from behind
Oh - great volley there from Bellerin from Aubama's cross!
OH! The Gunners nearly take the lead > Great save from Kasper
Great volley from Bellerin off a cross from Aubama that forced that athletic save from Kasper
This match really needs a goal, similar to the big match yesterday afternoon.
The latest article in La Cazette is clash if heads leads to booking for not being Jonny on the Spot
Harvey Barnes is replaced by Under.
The Gunners last 0-0 Prem draw at the EM was in October 2016 vs the Teesiders. That streak is in Jeopardy
Agreed, Bob. I was thinking the same about this being like the match yesterday
GOAL !!! THE FOXES TAKE THDE LEAD ON THE BREAK
GOAL! Smash and grab raid by Leicester as usual with Vardy popping up unmolested in the box.
0-1!
Now then - what can Arsenal do to respond?
Great long ball from Tielemans finds Under and his cross is headed in by a diving header at the far post by Vardy
The final roll of the dice from Arteta and a much needed attacking change as Eddie is on for Kieran Tierney
Definitely against the run of play as the goal was the Foxes first shot on target of the match
I'm really surprised that Arteta hasn't thrown on a game changer at this point. What's the point in keeping Xhaka on? He's not going to get you a goal, is he?
The final roll of the dice from the Brodge as Marc Albrighton is on for the Fourth President
Almost into stoppage time now.
Vardy wins a free kick midway between the box and the touchline. A quintet of stoppage time minutes
OH! Vardy put through by Albrighton and his shot is tipped over by Jay Leno
Oh - Vardy was in there again and only a sharp save from Leno prevented a second goal.
Pepe with a cross deflected for a corner off a long diagonal from Mustafi
An Arsenal match wouldn't be complete without a yellow card for Granit Xhaka.
Xakha Khan booked for grabbing Under's shirt on the break
That's it - Leicester pull off a shock away win at the Emirates. That will take them up to fourth and will drop Arsenal down to 10th. Gooner will not be pleased.
It's over and the Foxes win 0-1 at the EM for their first away win vs the Gunners since 1973. The Foxes move up to 4th which moves Leeds down to 5th. The Gunners are in 10th place
Condolences to Steve
